ABC News' Jennifer Parker reports: Two self described "hockey moms" launched a web site Tuesday called "Hockey Moms for McCain-Palin" to mobilize women in key battleground states to support the  Republican ticket.

Kellie Boyle, 46, of McLean, Virginia and her longtime friend Adrienne Cordova of Philadelphia, Pa., are the co-founders of http://www.hockeymomsformccain-palin.com/ -- a web site targeting women in  Pennsylvania, Michigan, Virginia and Ohio -- key battleground states.

"Hockey moms are the new soccer moms," Boyle told ABCNews.com, "we're just moms who are excited about ticket who wanted to do something to support Sarah Palin to show that there is alot of support among middle-class , main street, suburban moms out there."

Boyle pointed to recent polls that suggest that women have swung their support from Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to Republican John McCain since Palin joined the GOP ticket.

The latest ABC News/Washington Post poll found a 20-point shift among white women from Obama to  McCain. The latest Newsweek poll puts McCain over Obama among white women by 16 percentage points.

Boyle said the website isn't affiliated with the McCain campaign and she isn't being paid for her work.

"This is pure grass roots, this has nothing to do with the campaign," she said.

The "Hockey Moms for McCain-Palin" web site sells bumper stickers and "hockey moms for McCain-Palin" signs through CafePress, urges Republican supporters to request an absentee ballot to vote early, and solicits donations for the American Special Hockey Association, a group that helps children with physical and developmental disabilities play hockey.

"Hard work. Dedication. Sacrifice. These are just three things that John McCain has in common with the hockey moms of America. And Sarah Palin shares our early-rising, butt-freezing, glass-pounding commitment to our children and communities too!" reads the web site.

Boyle said she's mobilizing the mothers she knows at hockey rinks in Virginia and Cordova is targeting moms in Pennsylvania.

"She's getting mothers at all the hockey rinks in Pennsylvania getting ready to have bumper stickers and signs," Boyle said of Cordova, "and I've got relatives in Michigan that are doing the same thing."

Boyle, who said she used to work in Virginia Republican Sen. John Warner's press office in Washington, DC in the 1980s, is a longtime volunteer for Republican Rep. Frank Wolf of Virginia, who is up for re-election in November. Boyle is currently a part-time public relations and marketing consulting for Arlington-based LM&O Advertising, where her husband works.

Boyle attended the McCain-Palin rally last week in Fairfax Virginia where an estimated 23,000 people showed up. She said her son gave Palin a Washington Capitals jersey.

"She saw me in my Capitals jersey and gave me a thumbs up and said 'hockey mom!'" Boyle said of Palin.

"When she was announced she just struck a chord with so many women who not only find similarities with her but also really look up to her for being so successful at what she's doing being able to balance family and work and politics," Boyle said.

"She's just someone whom we identify with and admire," she said.

Michelle Obama also launched a new web site called "I always hated America"

Here is a useful resource related to Gov. Sarah Palin - the most comprehensive page of information on her record available on the Net. It includes videos of her saying her proposed $30 billion natural gas pipeline is the “will of God,” her saying a month ago she doesn’t know what the VP of the U.S. does, and her complaining four months ago that Hillary Clinton was whining about “sexist” coverage -

http://dailysource.org/palin

It has in-depth research, audio clips, videos, excerpts and links to hundreds of articles, including many from papers and TV stations in Alaska. It has rare footage, including her telling the 2008 convention of the Alaska Independence Party, whose goal is to give Alaska a vote on seceding from the U.S. to “keep up the good work.”

The level of research is unparalleled. The site’s editors include an Emmy-award winning CNN reporter, the former operating editor of the Christian Science Monitor’s web site, the former head of NPRs News Blog and the Executive Director of the Online News Association. Check it out here -

Please spread the word about this Palin info to anyone who might want to know more.

Obama is going to lose.

Being a mom has never qualified anybody for an office, this is a cover-up of arepublican dirty laundry machine. Come out clean and tell the whole truth. The challenge you have is that Palin's house the Alaska first family is in a big mess. A person who cannot manage properly her/his family cannot manage this greatest nation on earth. God save America from McPalin.

How long did the MEDIA sit on the Obama and Rev Wright story. Or how the MEDIA refuses to report that Obama uses the PAY TO PLAY POLITICS and thats how he became so friendly with REZKO

Posted by: daily source | Sep 16, 2008 10:04:20 AM

Being black never qualified anyone to be president. MLK was a Republican because he knew how racist the Demcocrats really are

now those are some smart beautiful women inside and out with commonsense value's and brain's. GOD bless you all.
McCain/Palin 2008 for the future and protection of America and it's families.

Is it true while Obama was publicly speaking about troop withdraw from Iraq was doing back door deals prolonging the troop presence with middle east dealers to make him look good politically. THATS BAD NEWS FOR OBAMA.

Hockey Moms support Palin; Well isn't that special....it's ok she lies and is impedeing an ivestigation but hey she likes hockey.

Since when does a hockey mom qualify a person to be a president and after her last speech sure sounded like she was the top dog not mcbush. I for one do not approve of anythning she stands for , shooting animals from a plane, stopping a bridge from being completed made a lot of sense, not being there for her daughter when she wanted to bring her relstioship with her boyfriend to another level. This woman can't even put her family first, so how is she going to put the USA first.

Most women want to see a female in a top national office like VP. We are all sick of being "second fiddle" to men who have proved themselves not the best when it comes to domestic issues. Women possess a brand of common sense and intuition that men just don't have.

Go Sarah - don't just crack the glass ceiling - BREAK IT DOWN!

Posted by: Andrea | Sep 16, 2008 10:17:48 AM

the sexist comment's earlier in the democratic run-off of obama and clinton was coming from the far lefties, not the commonsense democrats or republicans! McCain/Palin 2008 for the future and protection of America and it's families!

Posted by: timmaaa7 | Sep 16, 2008 10:19:00 AM

Funny now she won't respond to the probe (troopergate) like she said she would - oh wait - that's right - this is the flip-flop party!
Also funny is that 7 of the people who are behind this probe are republicans - not democrats - so who is parnoid now?

Posted by: jozy | Sep 16, 2008 10:19:03 AM

BKMC - I'm glad to hear that your family was so pristine and without problems. Wow, must be nice to be perfect. Yeah, we have our share of problems in my family, but we've addressed those and we're moving on. Sarah Palin's family is just fine by me. She's qualified because shw as in PTA, she was a mayor, and now a governor. That's more than what you can say about yourself.

Posted by: Gina | Sep 16, 2008 10:19:18 AM

What even funnier is how Obama will not answer any Rezko probe questions.

Posted by: jozy | Sep 16, 2008 10:20:04 AM

So we are voting for her just because she has boob's just like we do? Come people, there have been two boobs in the white house the last eight years and look what they have done!

Posted by: jozy | Sep 16, 2008 10:21:20 AM

Oh Great one more site where we can all get together and lie about the lies. Just what everyu campaign needs.

Posted by: Thinking | Sep 16, 2008 10:24:15 AM

I just mailed my 30th check of 2000 dollars to Obama. We need a do nothing clown in office that plays the RACIST blame. Freedom of Speech will be no more because anytime you speak ill words about Obama you will be charged with RACISM. Go Obama. I love your slogans CHANGE and Hope. Even though your wife hates America and your church hates white people.
