Bush Casts Early '08 Vote for McCain
October 24, 2008 3:02 PM
ABC News' Jon Garcia Reports: The President and Mrs. Bush cast their ballots Friday for the 2008 election during the early voting process, according to an email from White House Press Secretary Dana Perino.
"For months the President has said he supports John McCain for president and of course he voted for him," said Perino.
The ballots will be mailed back to Texas Friday. The Bushes plan to be at the White House on election night.
The president officially endorsed Senator John McCain for president the day after the Arizona Republican secured the GOP nomination. While Bush and McCain have a storied history, having run against one another in the 2000 presidential primaries, Bush invited McCain to the White House on March 5, 2008, to present a united party message. While McCain extended an invitation to Bush to join him on the campaign trail, the President has not appeared at any rallies with the GOP nominee. Bush has, however, offered a lending hand with the fundraising.
"There's an appropriate amount of campaigning for me to do," said Bush upon McCain's White House visit.
While he did not directly suggest that his low numbers in the polls could damage McCain's chances in the race, the President did signal that it was a possibility.
"If my showing up and endorsing him helps him, or if I'm against him and it helps him -- either way, I want him to win."

After McCain threw him under the Bus this week? McCain would throw his own mother under a Bus to win this thing.

TIM RUSSERT: The fact is you are different than George Bush.
SEN. McCAIN: No. No. The fact is that I have agreed with President Bush far more than I have disagreed. And on the transcendent issues, the most important issues of our day, I’ve been totally in agreement and support of President Bush.

McCain and Bush both are sailing on the same boat.

Well there you go, I've always said that Bush and McCain were like brothers jointed at the hip. Besides, who would still vote fro Obama after one of his goons cut that poor woman's face?
Posted by: JR | Oct 24, 2008 3:53:21 PM
Bush should return the favor to McCain. After all, McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time!
