Cheney Heart Troubles Resurface
October 15, 2008 11:28 AM
ABC News' Ann Compton Reports: For the second time in a year, Vice President Cheney will head the hospital to have an irregular heart beat corrected.
Earlier today, Cheney, 67, experienced an abnormal heart rhythm during a morning visit with doctors.
"It was discovered that the Vice President is experiencing a recurrence of atrial fibrillation, an abnormal rhythm involving the upper chambers of the heart," his press secretary Megan Mitchell said in a statement.
Last November, doctors discovered an irregular heartbeat when Cheney was getting a checkup following a lingering cough. Treated as an outpatient procedure, his doctors used what was described as an "electrical impulse" to restore normal rhythm in the upper chambers of the heart.
Cheney has a long medical history -- four heart attacks over his career including one right after he was elected Vice President; a quadruple by-pass; several angioplastys; and implantation of a defibrillator which was replaced with a newer model just last year.
Later today, Cheney will have an outpatient procedure at George Washington University Hospital "to restore his normal rhythm."
The condition canceled the Vice President's plans to attend a campaign event in Illinois for Republican congressional candidate Marty Ozinga. Cheney did not attend the Cabinet or Iraq meetings today as he was expected to be traveling, but did participate in the usual early morning Oval Office security briefing.

If Obama wins he will need to give good medical attn to William Ayers, who authored his 2002 anti-war speech, and the book "Dream of my father." Compare these to Ayer's books, and Jack Cashill's reseach.

Just imagine that if John McCain becomes president and something like this happens and he pass away (God Forbig), Sarah Palin would be in charge. Not a comforting thought. I would vote against the republican ticket based on that alone!!!

why couldn't this be Obama? Oh yeah, Leftist radical baby killers don't have a heart.

He is something you can focus on. Why are you trying to prevent someone from posting a comment that fits into your rules?

They say that men who cheat are more likely to die of a heart attack because of the stress...I wonder what the stress of being responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people for no good reason would do to a man?
BTW he is even YOUNGER than MkKlan!!!

I wouldn't want to be associated with any one of authors of these comments. Dems or Repub. doesn't matter....don't want a bunch of blood thirsty haters on my side.

The U. S. Naval Academy Teaches Future Military Officers to Be Mentally Tough. About 37% of a Plebe class fail to make it to graduation at the U. S. Naval Academy. John McCain made it. It matters not where he finished, he graduated.
First of all, the Naval Academy is a very unforgiving experience. Every midshipman (the term used for all students at the Academy) must meet every requirement to graduate, and there are a lot of them! There are no escape clauses, no exceptions, no waivers, special favors, or accommodations for the many hurdles and obstacles between you and the goal of graduation.
Now the mental disgrace that cannot stop smoking cigarettes.
The smoking habit shows Obama is a weak-minded person and that he cannot take mental pressure, not even the pressure of running for president. Obama appears to be a nervous irascible person that would find it difficult to make quick accurate decisions concerning national emergencies. He would probably smoke four packs a day, during a horrific national emergency.
DR. Everett Koop reported that nicotine addiction is equal to a heroin addiction. The reason being that both nicotine and heroin cross the blood brain barrier.
Obama is a great example for his national health program.
On average, smokers pay 100-150% more for health insurance coverage than nonsmokers. That means that taxpayers that do NOT smoke will pay more taxes for people that do smoke.

I have never heard the anger and I have never read the anger like in this American Presidential election. Perhaps the Democrats should have selected a candidate more like Denzel Washington or Chris Gardener. Both men are known exceptional people that are devout Christians and true to the American way.
The Chris Gardener story is an example of a man wanting and being rewarded through his desire to succeed. The kind of man that would get my vote.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Gardner
The Denzel Washington story is another fine example of a devout Christian being rewarded through his desire to succeed. The kind of man that would get my vote. I am just pointing to the kind of person the democrats could have chosen for a candidate.
http://www.people.com/people/denzel_washington/biography
This is a look at Barack Obama and it is the kind of person that will NOT get my vote. It does not matter what is in his heart, it is what is in his head from all the years of questionable associations. A person is the sum of that which they learn.

Your comment are not relevantly associated with
this story, because we are referring to Cheneys
physical health, not mental health. Ironically both
are in bad shape.
Though, to put your comments in prospective
regarding whether McCain has equivalent
capability whether he graduated first or nearly last
in the class, I can offer you this:
If you were to have selective surgery on your heart
or brain, and given a choice between a surgeon
who finished first in his class and one who was
nearly at the bottom of his class, you would not
have any doubts or regrets in your answer.

Obviously, operating on the "dark side" is not good for one's health, individually or collectively...the heart of America also requiring drastic measures to keep it beating!
