Cheney Heart Troubles Resurface

ABC News' Ann Compton Reports: For the second time in a year, Vice President Cheney will head the hospital to have an irregular heart beat corrected.

Earlier today, Cheney, 67, experienced an abnormal heart rhythm during a morning visit with doctors.

"It was discovered that the Vice President is experiencing a recurrence of atrial fibrillation, an abnormal rhythm involving the upper chambers of the heart," his press secretary Megan Mitchell said in a statement.

Last November, doctors discovered an irregular heartbeat when Cheney was getting a checkup following a lingering cough. Treated as an outpatient procedure, his doctors used what was described as an "electrical impulse" to restore normal rhythm in the upper chambers of the heart.

Cheney has a long medical history -- four heart attacks over his career including one right after he was elected Vice President; a quadruple by-pass; several angioplastys; and implantation of a defibrillator which was replaced with a newer model just last year.

Later today, Cheney will have an outpatient procedure at George Washington University Hospital "to restore his normal rhythm."

The condition canceled the Vice President's plans to attend a campaign event in Illinois for Republican congressional candidate Marty Ozinga. Cheney did not attend the Cabinet or Iraq meetings today as he was expected to be traveling, but did participate in the usual early morning Oval Office security briefing.

People, it is Obama who has the faulty heart, soul and mind. He speaks only for the weak minded and socialist centered. He stated "he would stand up for the Muslims". Most of the terrorist groups around the world and American haters are Muslims.

Amateurs? I think not. Professionals in the ongoing institution of voter fraud tactics perfected over time in two of our older Citites: Chicago and New Orleans, where Acorn’s founder Wade Rathke’s brother is on trial for embezzlement of $1,000,000.00 from ACORN..and what does the National Acorn board say?…Stunned..did not know anything about it until now…Where o ACORN and WHERE O Howard and Where OBINGO are the everyday standard accounting and legal procedures at least at minimum, once a year of AN OUTSIDE INDEPENENDENT AUDIT OF BUDGET AND FUND MANAGEMENT? and Where O Where all of you thieves, crooks and FRAUDS ….were you?
Most importantly, Where are the attorneys to sue for the pulling of ACORN’s CHARTER AS A NON-PROFIT
AT STATE LEVELS AND WHERE OH WHERE ARE THE ATTORNEYS TO SUE FOR THE SAME REGARDING ACORN SO CALLED SUBSIDIARY NON-PROFITS?

This is a look at Barack Obama and it is the kind of person that will NOT get my vote. It does not matter what is in his heart, it is what is in his head from all the years of questionable associations. A person is the sum of that which they learn.

Looks like Obama's number going up is giving heart problems for Cheney.

Confession is good for the heart, Mr. Cheney.

Do the orders still stand?

Too bad he has sold his soul to the devil and will never die no matter how bad his heart conditions become. He will be around for a long long time.

You mean he won't get to retire to Dubai! (SOB!) Who gives a Uck!

Heart trouble? Cheney has no heart! He has done more to damage this nation and infringe on our civil liberties than any other politician ever in our history! I don't think he will be missed or mourned by the American people when he is gone (whether literally or figuratively).

GOOD he deserves everything he gets!

They should add waterboarding to the electroshock treatment he is receiving. That should help, but if it doesn't, oh well. No biggie.

Mr. Cheney is an evil man who has broken laws, ignored the Constitution, approved and participated in torture and raped this country economically. Some of the terrible things he has done may not ever be known, since he operated a shadow government behind the scenes. My hope is that death will not come easily to him and that he suffers as greatly as the pain he has inflicted on others.

Not a fan of Cheney, the real president, not sure he has a heart, not happy with the Repiglicans or the economy, not going to put up with 4 more years...going to vote early, today, for Obama and hope nobody steals my vote!

I wonder if he is told to stand on a box with a hood over his head while live wires dangle from his body.

Maybe his heartbeat will snap back to normal if he is locked in a cell overnight with a couple of pitbulls, or, if they can't find pitbulls, Sarah Palin. Just have her wipe off the lipstick first.

The day Cheney kicks the bucket should be made a national holiday to celebrate the happy occation. May I suggest a fitting funeral march?:

Highway to Hell by AC/DC.

Our prayers are with Mr. Cheney but it makes you think what if something happen to John McCain or Barack Obama. I would rather Joe Biden any day over Sarah Palin. She scares me even when she is wrong she continues to LIE. Not to mention she knows nothing about the economy of foreign policy.

We will decide what is or is not relevant.

Barack Obama is not relevant to the presidency of the United States.

If Cheney dies, would Bush select Sarah Palin as his replacement? After all, she is so very, very well qualified for that position, according to John McCain.

Palin could continue to run the Ministry of Lies & Propaganda for the failing John McCain campaign. In fact, the mere freakishness of the whole thing would be like another breath of life in the McCainiac's long march to facism.
