Cindy McCain Takes Off Her Gloves

ABC News' Bret Hovell Reports: Wife of Republican presidential nominee, Cindy McCain, issued by far her harshest attack on Sen. Barack Obama Wednesday at a rally in Bethlehem, PA.

Introducing Gov. Sarah Palin, the vice presidential nominee, Mrs. McCain spoke about having two sons serving on active duty in the military, and mentioned that the Palins have a son serving as well.

“I’m proud of my sons, but let me tell you, the day that Senator Obama decided to cast a vote to not fund my son when he was serving sent a cold chill through my body, let me tell you,” Mrs. McCain said to a chorus of boos from the roughly 7,000 people in attendance. “I would suggest that Senator Obama change shoes with me for just one day, and see what it means, and see what it means to have a loved one serving in the armed forces, and more importantly, serving in harms way.”

Mrs. McCain regularly mentions that she has two sons serving, and one who has served in Iraq. But this was the first time she addressed Obama’s vote on troop funding directly, and she did so with vigor.

“I suggest [Obama] take a day and go watch our fine young men and women deploy, get on those buses and leave with a smile and a charge,” Mrs. McCain said.

Tuesday in Nashville, Mrs. McCain attacked Obama for waging what she called, “the dirtiest campaign in American history,” speaking at a tour of a Children’s Hospital before the second presidential debate.

I know how you feel Cindy, a cold chill went through my body the day that I found out you and Sen. McCain own 7 homes and 13 cars. It's tough out there, isn't it?

I would be really pissed at McCain for voting and going along with the lies that put her sons in harm way....

take another pill Cindy.. it will help you.

A new report out by the Wisconsin Advertising Project and TNS Media Intelligence/CMAG reflects the mounting intensity of the presidential campaign in its closing weeks

The analysis concluded that in the latest period, nearly 100 PERCENT OF McCAIN'S ADDS WERE NEGATIVE, compared to 34 percent of Obama's ads.

They never quite throwing mud.

Why doesn't Cindy take this up with her husband?

Remember, Senator McCain voted against funding our troops because it had a timeline.

Senator McCain was the loudest critic of this year's G.I. Bill that was passed. McCain said it "was too good for our troops". When it came time to vote, McCain used his usual 26 year tactic of being gone during the vote.

Since the McCain campaign has again invoked Obama's middle name again to stir up the crowd we just need to use his full name in pride. I will be voting for "that man" Barack Hussein Obama. Yeah Baby.

Yesterday, "the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America released its congressional scorecard for the 110th Congress, and awarded McCain a grade of “D” for his votes against veterans’ priorities. The grade makes McCain one of only four Senators to fall on IAVA’s “D List” — and marks a repeat performance for him, after receiving a “D” for his 109th congressional voting record as well."

A 'tough shot' for Cindy is cheaper beer than she makes. Now, as for the part where she looks like the bottle blonde southern belle angry that the help has learned to read and write and is better than her....well, she needs to control how it looks when someone of her background talks this way. Cindy, either explain why your husband has an 'F' rating from so many veterans groups who know he does nothin' to support then, or please just enjoy your organized crime related inheritance in lavish sun-drenched peace.

next year cindy and sarah will hopefully be on dancing with the stars

Not to mention that Bush, Chaney and McCain lied to start the war. So in reality.. Cindy should be kicking some a** and I don't mean Obama's.

Wake up Cindy.. stop being stupid.

Article: "Mrs. McCain attacked Obama for waging what she called, 'the dirtiest campaign in American history.'"

Wow. What do you say about someone who can make such delusional statements?

I will vote for "that one", the one who wants Iraqis to fight for and pay for Iraq.

Mrs. McCain, do you remember the time when you were at the receiving end of the ugliest attack by your own party? Please do not repeat what is done to you on to the others. It is ok to criticize others but get the fact right first. Try to have an intelligent discussion!!!!!!

I'm a retired vet with many deployment, including the first Gulf war. I have two sons in Iraq, one for the third time. I think it's despicable to use your children's service for political purposes. It's not why they joined. They joined to serve the nation, regardless of who's president and who's the first lady! Get over it Cindy and Sara! Support your military offspring don't use them!

Weren't children off limits? I guess the McCains are above the rules on the field. Imagine that. Shame on them for using their sons record of service
to charge up the campaign. Wow that just shows no respect even for their family.

The PEOPLE want the funding cut, THE PEOPLE elected Democrats to END the wars. But they'd rather make money with their corporate pals off the backs of dead Americans. Congress and our Presidential canidates should be ashamed of themselves!

The only reason she took her gloves off was to ease her trembling fingers way into her pill box.

Mrs. McCain attacked Obama for waging what she called, “the dirtiest campaign in American history,”

hahahaha, this shouldn't even qualify as an attack. it's just more of the McCain strategy of 'accuse them of everything we've done wrong'

Posted by: Cru | Oct 8, 2008 3:26:03 PM

Cindy, it's because of dumb, misguided asses like your husband that your sons had to serve in Iraq. Get used to the cold chills; your sons could be there 100 years or longer should the Tired. Old. One. end up in the White House. You could end up there, as well, if the Wasilla beauty queen runner up and vice presidential candidate gets into the oval office because your Tired. Old. One is unfit to serve.

It's cursious that, if Cryptkeeper McCain is really struggling with the fact that her 2 boys are overseas, she wouldn't acknowledge that her old coot of a husband OPPOSED SETTING A TIMELINE TO BRING THEM HOME. Total hypocrasy.
