Joe the Plumber to Campaign for John McCain
October 27, 2008 11:10 PM
ABC News' Bret Hovell reports: Joe Wurzelbacher, aka “Joe the Plumber,” will campaign tomorrow in Ohio for Senator John McCain.
Wurzelbacher, the Toledo-area native, will go on a bus tour with former Rep. Rob Portman, a close McCain supporter, and a number of small business people.
It will be the first time Wurzelbacher has been out to campaign for the McCain ticket since he approached Barack Obama some weeks back to ask about Obama’s tax policy, and became a part of McCain’s stump speech.
McCain, and his running mate Sarah Palin, have made “Joe the Plumber” a central part of their campaign, mentioning him at nearly every stop as a way of illustrating how, they argue, Barack Obama’s tax plans will affect average Americans.

I think having Joe the Plumber and Tito along with Sarah has given McCain the edge.
Mark my words, McCain is going to win! When you got middle America going out to campaign for you, you can only WIN!

We need to be extra careful about the way we talk about a private citizen.
Phrases and situations right out of Communist Russia have crept up:
"Luckily, they didn't find much"...about a citizen who asked a question. This sounds like a person breathing a sigh of relief that the KGB folder on them "isn't too bad".
Government computers have been illicitly used to dig up dirt on a man who embarrassed a politician.
We know more about his tax problem than the average politician's. His tax problem was a snafu that only shows up when you go to refinance your house or sell it. I relate to this. When we were buying a house, I was informed I owed $200 to a collection agency. It turned out to be for a medical bill around the time I turned 18, and unbeknownst to me, my father had immediately quit paying any kind of support when I became an adult. It was a small matter, but I immediately daydreamed about myself asking a question and suddenly hearing about that innocent thing all over t.v. and what a monster it proved I was!

Mguy, didn't you get beaten to death in the crooked Democratic primary? You will get beaten up by Obama's tax plan and 10% increase in spending. Our country will get beaten up when he caves in to our enemies and further weakens our military. JTP got beaten up for asking Obama about his tax plan when Dumb Dumb strolled into his own driveway and said he wanted to "spread the wealth." Spread your cheeks, sweetie. Obama is coming for your job.

McCain needs the skin head vote.

I posted here a few days ago asking that if someone provided a real, concrete reason to vote for Obama, I would.
No one ever did.
Today's tape of Obama's 2001 radio interview has now provided sufficient evidence for Obama to remove himself from consideration.
So thank you to everyone, but I no longer need anyone to provide a reason to vote for him - I've decided not to.
That interview, along with the thought of Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd & co. introducing unchallengeable, veto proof legislation, and who knows what Supreme Court judges would be appointed, is why.
(Please re-read that last paragraph and make sure you understand the implications).

Ahhhh, the Obama crackpots are at it again. You justify Obama's attacks on JTP because you are ignorant and scared. You just cannot deal with the fact that Obama has openly admitted he is a socialist and has a socialist agenda for America. Everyone knows you are all of his ilk, but did you think the Obamedia would cover for his anti-American agenda forever and that it would never get out?
This isn't over. With that moron Biden blathering away, Bill "Stanley the tool" Burton squealing like a 5 year old, and Obama's lies catching up with him (finally!), the next week ought to be real interesting for you moonbats.

What do you mean he doesn't pay taxes?? he owes taxes doesn't mean he doesn't pay taxes. Anyway, there's no reason to seek up his personal info when he's just a citizen asking a question. Are you guys trying to scare citizens from asking questions?? Are we going to lose our democracy and freedom if obama is president?? It's funny how obama still defends his "spread the wealth" idea. He's not only said that a many times to sell to american people but he's also selling all over the world. Listen to his speech in Berlin, he said about redistributing the wealth. This guy doesn't stand for what he believes. don't defend something if you believe it. maybe there are millions people who like the idea of "spreading the wealth. Just like his idea of speaking without pre-conditions. It's not a bad idea but he kept on defending that's not what he meant but at the same time he's also defending the idea. I mean so which is it that he believes?? He voted "present" more than half the time and none of his shady associations become clear nor anything he said and did were clear.

terrago, from your post I surmise that their isn't a reason good enough for you to vote for any democrat. Again, I say that you conservatives latch onto half stories put out buy Hannity or Limpboy without digging for the entire truth. Obama nor any other mainstream Democrat wants to take what you have away from you and give itto someone else, we just want more people to have the opportunity to earn a decent wage, get health care, and recieve a good education. I dare say most here have benefitted from our "socialist" education system in this country.

The perfect poster child for the McCain campaign..
Not his real name..
Not a licensed plumber..
Can't afford his own expenses..
And the other candidates tax and health plan would be better for him.

"I don't recall seeing anywhere that Obama "ripped" Joe the Plumber."
Both he and Biden mocked him. And they continued to mock him for several days. AND they NEVER criticized the personal intrusions into his life.
"And since he has chosen to put himself out there, after McCain made him famous, he is as fair game as anyone campaigning for Obama,"
His personal life is not and never should be fair game. He isn't running for office and he has no radical associations that would warrant wondering why McCain mentioned his name. On the other hand, Obama has a disturbing pattern of associations with many radical persons.
"As far as Obama giving a dumb answer, I have to ask, did you see and hear that video? Obama told him he would have to know more about this particular business, but that he could actually save on taxes under his plan. Or, if he was actually going to earn over $250,000, he might have to pay a little extra."
As with a majority of Americans, the thought of someone taking their money or personally receiving the hard earned income of another is totally unacceptable. Also, who is Obama to decide how much is too much? And that "little bit more" he is so fond of saying....isn't simply a little bit. It is another 3%. And businesses at that level operate on a higher profit margin just to survive. So three percent is a lot.
"I thought Obama gave an honest answer, especially for being caught off guard as he was."
Me too. Along with this latest revelation from 2001, coupled with his JTP admission, his associations with other socialists AND he is not backing away from the "spread the wealth" comment, it has become abundantly clear that Obama is a hard left socialist.
And just so you know, Obama's plan is on $250K GROSS, not net. Just go to his website and find the calculator that calculates the tax break you would get under his plan. You have to enter your income to start. You will notice he does not ask for your adjusted gross income...he asks for your ANNUAL income. that's gross. And considering that a small business that grosses $250K per year could actually net the owner $100K in profits, Obama is actually increasing the tax on a family that only nets $100K per year. Then Obama takes that 3% and gives it to the guys neighbor who makes $100K per year also.
That is the insidiousness of Obama. But I don't expect it to change your mind because I have come to realize that anyone who still supports Obama after all the facts about his radical associations with terrorists, crooks, and black supremests, is never going to be rationed with considering simple math.

People keep saying Obama is a socialist. Do you actually KNOW what a true socialist is. If you did you would not be calling Obama one. We ALREADY have a Republican socialist government. We BAIL or BUY big business whenever they fail. Why don't you people in Coorporate welfare we dole out every year to Big Business (much more than ALL the social programs combined). How about harping on McCains Socialist idea about buying up the bad mortgages? Republicans don't complain when the welfare goes to support the rich, but scream and cry foul when even the thought of helping hard working middle class people comes up. Then the Republicans wonder why McCain can barely get 1000 people to show up at rally (New Mexico) and yet Obama can attract 45,000 people just a few miles away. WE ARE FEED UP!!!!

Wrong. Obama himself said he wanted to "share the wealth." You work hard to earn a little more, and Obama will take it away and give it to people who aren't willing to work as hard as you.
Case closed.

Apparently so.. we have been spreading it from the middle class up to the wealthy for the last 8 years, and lots of people would like to see that continue under McCain.
If you want to pay more in taxes, vote McCain, so he can give it to the wealthy.

Wow!! mccain found A plumber that likes him. Never mind that the Plumber Association in Ohio supports Obama.

Your simplistic model is flawed. You will pay more taxes under McCain than under Obama so McCain can give it to the wealthy.

Boy, you libs sure all over Joe for the whopping $1200 he owes. You have no real idea what the circumstances are but by God and by golly, you have an idea and it has to be bad, real, real bad. Instead of being outraged that someone in the BMV and other state offices delved illegally into Joe's personal data and spread it around, you go after Joe. That just goes to show why you buy into the spread the wealth theory, because you believe the means justifies the end, no matter who it hurts. What a bunch of whining pathetic losers you are and oh, by the way, I AM JOE THE PLUMBER.

Linda "WE ARE FEED UP" (sic), I suggest you study a little harder about socialism. If you look it up in the dictionary, Obama's picture is there.

Married filing joint, you would save $1000 in taxes under Obama, zip under McCain.
