Stephanopoulos: McCain Needs a Plan
October 10, 2008 8:54 AM
ABC News George Stephanopoulos Reports: With just a few weeks left in the cycle, Republican presidential candidate John McCain's biggest problem has almost nothing to do with him and everything to do with the economy. The campaign dialogue can't break through the tremendous noise and pain brought on by financial woes that so many Americans have been feeling.
McCain has to figure out a way to tie into anger over the economy and convince voters he's got the better plan to solve the financial crisis -- it's his only real hope for victory.
McCain's latest ad goes about as far as you can go in an ad -- it's the second in two days that hits Democratic candidate Barack Obama for lying about his connection to 1960s radical Bill Ayers, though it wasn't a line of attack McCain chose to use against Obama during this week's debate.
Obama will spend the next five days in Ohio at a critical point in his presidential campaign: if he locks in the lead in Ohio, he's that much closer to locking up the race.
No single state is more important to Obama's prospects than Ohio is and no Republican has ever won the White House without winning Ohio. Right now, Obama has a small but solid lead of a few points in the state and while he's outspent Republican candidate John McCain there by about $500,000 a week, he hasn't spent much time on the ground.
By going there, hitting the ground and saturating the state with campaign efforts for the next five days, Obama's looking to lock in the lead.
Later today, the McCain campaign will also be dealing the release of a potentially damaging report by the legislative panel investigating whether Gov. Sarah Palin abused power by trying to get the state commission fired -- the investigation shows that Palin and her husband were far more involved in the incident that they have previously said.
McCain's camp tried to get ahead of the report last night by releasing their own report saying Palin broke no law.

I have here an advice for McCain:
If a problem can be solved, no need
to worry about it. AND
If a problem can not be solved what
is the use of worrying!

We voters have a plan for McCain. He has sealed the deal on the GOP legacy and it is time to brand the old man and put him out to pasture. ...........

MCain needs to connect his reformer record and leadership to the ability to understand and correct this crisis.

McCain threw away his life-long creed of duty and honor for the Presidency when he became undignified, unsteady and inconsistent.
McCain threw away his "reformer record" when he cowered to the far right wing of his party.

One of the most hideous, repugnant and gruesome accounts that I remember reading about while growing up was the Charles Manson murders. They strung up 8 months pregnant Sharon Tate and eight others because they were wealthy and brutally stabbed and cut them open. Bernardine Dohrn the wife of William Ayers was quoted as saying “"Dig it," "first they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork in a victim's stomach. Wild!" Dohrn, of course, was Ayers' comrade-in-arms, just as responsible as he for the bombings and the insurrection which landed her in prison while he walked on a technicality.
So what is all the talk about Barack Obama being close friends with these people? Obama made a statement to the public that he was only 8 years old when this occurred, and that this man is just a man in his neighborhood. However we now know that Barack Obama has lied to us. Barack Obama was hand-chosen by Ayers to serve as board chair on Ayers' radical, $140 million educational initiative, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge where Barack Obama served as Chairman for years (this was not when he was 8 years old, this was just a few years ago). Barack Obama also served with Ayers on the Wood Fund, which channeled $75,000 in grant money to the Arab-American Action Network, a group founded by Rashid Khalidi.
In fact, Barack Obama's very first political fundraiser was at the home and in the living room of none other than William Ayers and wife Bernardine Dohrn.
Obama said this man was just a man in my neighborhood. The public better take a closer look and quick----the American people are being swindled and deceived.

This election will turn in the last 72 hours. Banter and preach all you want about the lead Obama has but the combonation of shady associations, extreme liberal views, and the "Clinton factor" (Hillary doesnt want to wait 8 years to run again, McCain will pull this race out. Always happens, democrats poll well but dont show up to vote, that is unless dead people disgracefully registered make it to the booth.

why do thingThis election has me very worried. So many things to consider. About a year ago I would have voted for Obama. I have changed my mind three times since than. I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. About six months ago, I started thinking 'where did the money come from for Obama'. I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans.
I started looking into Obama's life.
Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. 'Barry' (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan. During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a 'round the world' trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family.
My question - Where did he get the money for this trip?
Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they were in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? It's not cheap to say the least! Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000 a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.
By 'chance' he met Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named 'Entrepreneur of the Decade' by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association'. About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented 'Rezar' which is Rezko's firm. Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago. In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with 'seed money' for his U.S. Senate race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those Student Loans - Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.
Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first.
Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?
On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley, advisor to Obama, was 'sacked' after the press found out he was having regular contacts with 'Hamas', which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will 'Take care of things'.
Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that were born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those 'small' Internet campaign contributions for Obama.
Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East?
And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on 'This Week' with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, 'My Muslim faith'. When questioned, 'he made a mistake'.
Some mistake!
Now the BIG question - If I found out all this information on my own, Why haven't all of our 'intelligent' members of the press been reporting this?
A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear - 'Beware of the enemy from within'!!!
s like this never come out

Oil plummets below $83 on global slowdown fears
You can't tell me that the investment banks weren't bidding up the price of oil to cover their bad investments in housing and derivatives . . . and helped push us to global recesssion.
- Saudis said no reason for price rise
- Investment money in oil zoomed over the past couple of years until this summer

Mike - Sorry buddy. People are more scared by their depleating bank accounts, savings accounts and retirement plans than the name Ayers or Hussain.
Posted by: Jenny Rome Ga | Oct 10, 2008 9:28:13 AM
America would have a better standing in the world with a President Barack Obama. It would show that our country has matured in race relations.Barack has a plan that WILL stimulate our economy by releiving pressure on middle and low income Americans.I mean who do you think makes the majority of purchases?Obama is common sense and amazingly intelligent for our economy. He understands complex issues and has surrounded himself with experts to keep his policy sharp and effective for the American people. He is not a one liner politician.

MAry - I will say it again. People are more scared by their depleating bank accounts and retirement plans than they are by the names, Rezko, Ayers or even Hussain. Sorry honey at this point these things just do not matter.

Mary B
Scholarships and student loans. The loans were finally paid off last year with proceeds his second book.
Work hard, get ahead. That is Obama's life. John McCain, not so much (grauduated 4th from the bottom in his class).
Now, I would like to ask YOU a question. What kind of example do you think John McCain set with regards to how he GOT HIS MONEY?
Cheated ON HIS DISFIGURED WIFE with a hundred million dollar heiress. That is the John McCain formula for financial success.
IS THIS THE STORY YOU WANT TO SEND TO YOUR DAUGHTER???
Think.

Mary B, I am a hillary supporter and I am very worried too. I am reluctantly thinking about supporting Obama, but stuff like this makes me sick. Obama is lucky he is running against the weakest canidate to run for president my life time.

McCain has no plan.except carrying out irresposible racist and stupid campaign.
he is getting sick and out of mind as his mindless vice-president.US Government/Justice will not let a terrorist to be University teacher where he can influence many young Americans and the reason why Ayers is teaching is because he is not a terrorist; not a treat to the security of America and no longer belongs to the" terrorist "group that carried out bad things back in 60’s. He may have had some though views in the past but today it‘s McCain who has bad views. He can’t stand the fact that an African American is more popular/intelligent/smart than him and can become the next US President.

“At this point, if you still support Obama, you are OK with his very close relationship with a racist, anti-American pastor and priest. You are OK with his long-term friendship with an unrepentant terrorist. You are OK with his close friendship with a convicted felon. You are OK with the fact that he is complicit in the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac boondoggle. And you are OK with his attempts to steal the election through ACORN and voter intimidation. All of this has been reported by the MSM and is no longer a secret.
That said, in my opinion, if you still support Obama knowing all this, I have to question your patriotism. There is no political party or ideology which could coerce me into backing such a reprehensible individual to become the President of the United States. I just refuse to believe there are that many Americans out there who hate this country.”

isn't it funnyb that as the economy dumps and our country goes down the tubes
Mccain Palin whose domestic terrorist "pals" all bombed people or attemted bombing people in the 90's
want to distract the American people by pointing to a guy who was named citizen of the year in the countries third largest city... and who was honored by prominent national republicans with 50 million dollars funding...
who committed such acts during Vietnam...
Mccain palin the worst ticket our nation has EVER seen.
Posted by: dl | Oct 10, 2008 9:35:57 AM
you all need to go look at the eevents around Vogler and AIP ...
as Todd palin was inspired at the convention where they drew up and their seperatist constitution and mourned their founders death as he was murdered trying to commit terrorism and killing people.
same inspiration that lead Sarah Palin to be their keynote speaker and attend numerous of their conventions...

It's over. I'm not voting. It's pointless.

Diana,
You should vote! But are you so full of hatred that you would harm yourself? Or maybe you will not be affected by any of the economic woes being thrown on us, but if you think that then you had better TUNE IN!!! Those with the most to lose, lose the most. Senator Obama is merely trying to restore balance, and he has the best plans..

Barack Obama's membership in the Socialist Affiliate of the Democratic Socialists of America. On Wednesday, I went hunting for additional sources...
1996 Election Update From The Columbus Free Post
"The first NP member heads to Congress, as Danny Davis wins an overwhelming 85% victory yesterday (he got a higher percentage of the vote in that district than the President). NP member and State Senate candidate Barack Obama won uncontested. Interestingly, it appears that the local Democratic machine is trying to distance itself from our folks."
This revelation has left many people wondering how this could be since Obama ran under the Democratic Party banner during the 1996 Election. As a result, we want to shed insider light on how the New Party planned their takeover of the Democratic Party.
From The Happy Birthday Update Published By The New Party in 1997:
" the New Party would remain independent of the Democratic Party -- but without undermining the Democrats. The New Party's program for a new majority would, as Todd Gutlin puts it, center around an "old fashioned" concern for issues like living wages.
...the New Party's founders suggest, the left needs an organization that straddles the inside-outside fence. If the U.S. left is ever to make a meaningful decision on the third-party-vs.-Dems question, they propose, it must first take on the task of grassroots power-building.
Thus, most of the New Party's work has been in local politics, where its candidates need no party label -- just the activist energy it takes to win office. The party's strategy has been to build political organizations in a few targeted cities, working closely with labor and community organizations. Chapters run candidates only where they have a real chance of winning, combine campaign work with organizing and education, and refuse to spoil elections by stealing votes from the better of two major party candidates.
But to grow past the local level, something more is needed...
...Until major changes in the legal structure of the U.S. politics happen, we're stuck with a two-party system, and progressives -- if they want to win many elections -- will have to run, and vote, Democrat.
But without fusion, the New Party is not likely to have the capacity to swing higher level elections any time soon, inside or outside the Democratic Party. For now the New Party is nothing more -- and nothing less -- than a network of local labor-community political organizations. These organizations can, from time to time, move their political muscle and know-how into Democratic primaries to back progressive candidates for state legislature and even Congress, but do not have the size or clout to field their own candidates for the Senate, the Governor's office, or the White House."
Now you're beginning to understand how Obama, The New Party and ACORN have hijacked the Democratic Party.
