Biden Jumps on Cheney's McCain Endorsement
November 01, 2008 5:21 PM
ABC News Matthew Jaffe reports: Aspiring vice-president Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., jumped on current vice-president Dick Cheney’s praise today for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., citing it as "proof" that McCain would continue the Bush administration’s “failed” economic policies.
"If you ever had any doubt about John McCain and whether he’d continue the Bush policies, you can put them to rest now," Biden said at Marion Harding High School, home of the Presidents, in Marion, Ohio.
"Just today I watched on the bus coming over on the television I have on the bus. Just today, vice-president Cheney came out and endorsed John McCain," the Delaware lawmaker said as the crowd booed. “Folks, if you need any more proof…"
Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., is also set to pounce on Cheney’s endorsement in a speech later today in Pueblo, Colorado.
The Republican campaign, however, attempted to focus on the contrast between McCain and Biden's Buckeye State swings in the past two days.
"Less than 24 hours after John McCain energized thousands of Ohioans, Joe Biden lulled his way through today’s speech, seemingly accepting his position as a drag on the Democrat ticket," said McCain-Palin spokesman Ben Porritt in a statement.

Someone here says,"Mr. Obama, a serial liar"
Funny, I think the exact same thing about McCain! He will say anything to get elected. For example, he repeats over and over and over that Obama will raise (your) taxes. But Obama has said over and over and over that "taxes will be LOWER for people making under $250,000, which represents 95% of the population. The evidence is there. Check out the calculator on Obama's website.
This is merely one example. There are 50 more.

McCain can't stand Cheney, Addington, and Rumsfeld.
McCain stood up to Cheney on torture and railed against him to his face and demanded he stop dealin with the senate on the issue.
McCain voted against keeping our troops in Lebanon.
McCain hates neocons like Cheney.
Cheney never served his country and a joke.

The message is more clear every day . We will either vote for an Obama Nation or an Abomination. .................

I thought Cheney was in hiding. Didn't see him at RNC.
It's bad when the sitting president and vice president are so hated, they are banned from their own convention.
Go figure

David...
here's one for you...did you know Governor Palin called Cheney over a year ago for advice on the natural gas pipeline? you know... the one that she paid Transcanada $500 mill up front for (non-refundable)...the one that she didn't allow competitive bids on but awarded to a non-American company whose lobbyists work in her administration? The one that offers no plan to get the gas to the lower 48 (just Asia)...but coincidentally ends in the Alberta Tar Sands (the source of oil shale - the most environmentally devastating of all methods of oil extraction - but one which suddenly seems to be quite profitable for oil companies?)...Didn't know that? Seems like SHE'S pretty chummy with Cheney....and like she wants to adopt his self-given "extra" POWERS AS vp...

Biden is so stupid = he will get what is coming to him just you wait and see, the man needs some sense, intelligence he is lacking in.

Joe is pretty astute at stealing from the taxpayer and funneling off campaign contributions to family members.

Janice - A reason why you should vote for Obama is the importance he places on education. I'd be willing to bet that the first six year old I found on the street would be able to put together a better sentence than you just did.

Cheney doesn't like McCain and McCain has stood up to him several times in the past. But McCain has changed and has refused to speak out against the wrongs of the current administration since he started running for office. If Cheney is endorsing McCain either he believes that change is real and McCain will continue the Bush-Cheney administration or he is trying to sabotage McCain and put Palin in a position to run for president in 2012. Obviously Palin could be relied on to award contracts to Halliburton and other firms run by the Republican establishment. And could be manipulated, as Bush has been, to declare war and follow the neo-con agenda as directed.

I feel sorry for those who think Sen. Obama is the fix for their financial woes. Some of you will be disappointed when you loose your job because the small business you work for can't afford you because they have to pay those high taxes, he is going to bring to reality. Of course if you are one of those who will just sit back and wait for my money to be given to you, it is not wonder you are voting for him.

WHY I AM VOTING FOR SEN. OBAMA SO AS TO FURTHER THE AGENDA OF DR. RON PAUL
October 30, 2008
SUMMARY
I love and respect Dr. Ron Paul and Ms. Carol Paul. They are wise, loving and courageous.
I am voting for Senator Obama because if I vote for my candidate of choice, Dr. Ron Paul, we might see a repeat of the last election and end up with a warmongering, inarticulate, Republican warmongering President who never really had to live in my shoes as a member of the struggling middle-class.
I believe that the American People are slowly becoming wise enough to see through the blatant manipulation of election results by the mainstream media that is owned and controlled by big business and by the two reigning political parties.
I am confident that by the next Presidential election in 2012 that the majority of American Citizens will know about:
1) the beliefs and record of Dr. Ron Paul;
2) the weakness of our present two party system; and
3) the existence and party platforms of other alternatives such as Green, Constitution and Libertarian parties. I am confident that the REVOLUTION Dr. Ron Paul started against the big business controlled media and two reigning political parties will continue to benefit our nation for the greater good.
MY RATIONALE
Socialist Universal Health Insurance
I say - BRING IT ON! Our present health care system benefits big business and illegal aliens, not the American citizen or the American health care providers. I have lived without health insurance and I know from personal experience that the present system degrades the health of American Citizens on a daily basis. Once all Americans have health care - without the huge glut of illegal aliens - we can consider other options as Dr. Paul suggests. I see it as a possible evolution from where we are now to where we and Dr. Paul wants us to be.

I have health insurance and it is still too expensive to go to the doctor. So I am out the premiums and still have the problem of not seeing the doctor. However, if you think Socialized healthcare is the answer you are sadly mistaken. You might want to read about some of those places that have socialized medicine and look at all the problems they have. They pick and choose who can have the procedures and medicines they need. You are not guaranteed care just becuase there is socialized medicine. Wise up people.

Biden is definitely a plus for the ticket. The Republican spin is born of insults that don't stick no matter how many kitchen sinks they throw. The plumbing is good and Republican garbage flushes or is churned up by the garbage disposal.
Cheney's endorsement, on the other hand, was a formality that 'reminds' us that McCain is Bush and Palin is Cheney. Cheney/Palin dupe squad questing their best for Haliburtan and the AIP.
So!!!! (In the words of the infamous Cheney first dude via Palin).
Obama/Biden 08!
Posted by: Common Sense | Nov 1, 2008 7:21:32 PM
Wow, I would think that a Cheney endorsement would be the *kiss of death*. Add that to the Sarah Factor, and it's buh-bye, Johnny Mac!
Posted by: mavisdarling | Nov 1, 2008 7:35:38 PM
No wonder Cheney endorsed McCain while touting Sarah Palin's "executive talent and toughness and common sense"; she's just as unqualified as his running mate was, and look how badly that turned out for America's economy?! Time for Cheney and Bush and McCain and Palin to all head for home and leave the real talent to clean up the mess.
Posted by: Elizabeth Jurenovich | Nov 1, 2008 7:41:36 PM
Forget the elections - the big question is: who is going to get Palin's expensive wardrobe? The GOPs Trickle down economics aren't over yet!

This just in: Sarah Palin won't reveal her medical records because it will reveal that Trig is actually DickCheney's love child. DickCheney is white and bald just like Trig and has down syndrome too so that's all the proof you need.
Posted by: bird | Nov 1, 2008 7:50:06 PM
Bird - you're too much. Latest update - breaking news: Cheney wants Palin's red boots for one of his "Hoover evenings." Our reporters are just confirming details...

Janice says 'intelligence he is lacking in?' Gee whiz, sounds like you should know. I'm guessing you think Palin is a genius, right?
