Biden Shows Cub Scouts Around His Plane

Before boarding his plane in Tallahassee, Fla., Sunday afternoon, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., spotted a group of Tiger Cub Scouts visiting the airport firehouse on a field trip.

"You guys are so nice, now what are you guys doing today?" Biden asked them.

"We looked at a fire station and…and now we’re going to go look at the plane," replied one of the boys.

"Oh man, you’re gonna look at a plane?" said Biden. "Well, I don’t know, maybe you can come over and look at our plane. You guys wanna come and see my plane?"

"Yeah!" the boys shouted in unison.

So after getting permission from their parents, the veep nominee then walked the blue-and-orange clad group over to his charter jet.

As they walked along the tarmac, one boy told Biden, "I heard of you on TV."

"No kidding?" replied the veep nominee.

"You’re Barack Obama’s running mate."

"Yeah, I’m Barack Obama’s running mate," Biden replied. "Come on, we’re gonna go over here. We’ll take you inside and show you, OK? I’m gonna get in trouble, but come on."

Biden and the boys then bounded up the steps on the large blue plane, where the senator gave the scouts a tour of the cockpit.

"Are all those people taking video cameras of you?" one boy asked Biden, noting the reporters following the lawmaker’s every move.

"Well they take video cameras of me, they follow me because they think I might be vice president some day," responded Biden.

Just a few days after Halloween, one kid noticed a vat of candy.

"Is that your snacks?" he asked Biden.

"That’s our snacks," Biden said, before whispering, "You can sneak one if you want."

After a few minutes –- and a few Tootsie Rolls -– they all descended the stairs, then giving Biden a quick Cub Scout cheer and salute.

His impromptu Cub Scout tour concluded, Biden then jetted off to Gainesville, continuing his daylong tour of the Sunshine State....

I used to support Sen. Obama, but did you see his newest ad where he brags about his Buffett ( Communist: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4586222 ) and Powell ( black ) endorsements, while criticizing Sen. McCain for getting Cheney's (VP)? if you want to talk about earning an endorsement from someone you supported 90% of the time, how about: Sen. Obama earned the endorsement of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. For the last 20 years, he's been stuffing his Trinity United Church of Christ full of children of the future generation of the South Side of Chicago, and indoctrinated them in hate and anger towards all of America and all Americans. God bless America? no no no, God d*mn America! It's in the Bible, God d*mn America! Congratulations, you earned it, Barry!

That was really cool of Joe Biden to let the kids check out his plane. What an honor for them. I'm sure they will remember that for the rest of there lives.

Obamacrat for McCain: Buffett is not a communist. And the idea that linking to an article that refers to him being a witness - not a subject or a target - in an investigation that had nothing to do with communism proves he is, is nuts.

It's quite entertaining though. Desperate much?

Ahhh, how nice, Mister Charity takes the cub scouts on a photo op tour, and the press eats it up. Fact is, Mr. Biden reported $319,000 of income last year and gave $995 to charity. Personally, I made $92,000 and gave $6,600. Ironically, Mr. Biden says that I am selfish because I don't want to give more of my money to a big spending, wasteful government. What a hypocrite!!! I agree with the Obamacrat. I wouldn't want the Obama campaign to get their paws on my child. They'll bring him to Trinity United Church of Christ where the pastor there will yell at the top of his ebonics lungs, shake and twist and sing, "God bless American? no no no! God d*mn America, it's in the Bible, God d*mn America!" and everyone in the congregation will roar in approval as if it was right.

Joe Biden is such a Great guy. People can actually feel confident that he is the one that will be a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

Obamacrat for McCain !

After reading what Palin's Alaska Independence Party leader said about America, you will not be that anti-Obama happy. Plus, when Jeremiah Wright was supporting this country as a soldier, he was okay American. But after he opened his mouth (1st Amendment) he is suddenly bad American? Come on.. Cheney was chicken to go and serve his country, but Jeremiah Wright didn't.
... I'll be also proud if Buffett endorsed me ))) Smart man. I like smart people..;)))

actually the Obamacrat is well-grounded. We, along with the Clintonite, used to support the Democrats, so we are not ideological purists, therefore our views are well thought-out. Besides, an Obama win, along with Democratic Congress and Senate, would be ruinous for the country, therefore it would accellerate the country's turn to the Republicans for stewardship, guidance and reform, which, as leaning Democrats, our supporting Sen. McCain is a double-win. First we save the country from Sen. Obama, and second, we save the country from a guaranteed Republican onslaught in 2010.

What, no answer from the left? Can anyone refute that Biden reported $319,000 of income, but gave a paltry $995 to charity. It IS a matter of public record! How can he be seen as anything but a pus-hearted, money grubbing hypocrite? A heretic is a man who sees with his own eyes. Gotthold Ephraim Lessing

Looks like a lot of people in America feel themselves as people on a mission. "I am on a mission from God to stop B. Obama and save Dem.Party from mistake". Very Funny.. Logic - that what you are lacking, Mr.DemMcCrat for McCain
And Save us Gog from lady Palin.. ;)))

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- At Gov. Sarah Palin's Sunday rallies, she's earned big responses by repeating the line that an independent organization has found that Sen. Barack Obama's proposed policies "would destroy 6 million jobs over the next decade."

A quick search though finds that the only thing destroyed is the truth in that statement.

The facts: The "independent organization" Palin cites is actually the Center for Data Analysis, which is part of The Heritage Foundation, the conservative think tank.

Further, the figure is what the Heritage Foundation believes would be the amount of potential jobs not created if Obama changes tax law (including repealing the Bush tax cuts.)

Real intelligent Frank. You must be about a mile on the left side of the bell curve. A heretic is a man who sees with his own eyes. Gotthold Ephraim Lessing

To Gotthold Ephraim Lessing

I don't see a point. So, Biden didn't give too much money to charity. So.. maybe, he didn't report all of his donations (I don't). Maybe, he gives his clothes and toys to charity;))). Maybe, he's just greedy. What's your point.. ? ;)))

AmericanHeretic: "Can anyone refute that Biden reported $319,000 of income, but gave a paltry $995 to charity."

Since you ask, sure, I'll refute it. That figure you give is based on the charitable donations declared in tax returns. You don't have to declare charitable donations, so actual donations and donations reported can be (and often are) two different figures. One common donation that often isn't declared is money given via church collection plates, for example. And indeed, it has been reported that Biden's tax returns don't include money he's donated to church.

I have to defend the DemMcCrat. He never quoted scripture against the Democratic ticket. Sen. Obama, however, insists that he has "a righteous wing behind our backs." I don't support Sen. Obama, but I don't think I'm un-righteous. And Sen. Obama's spiritual advisor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, said, "God d*mn America, it's in the Bible, God d*mn America." We should keep our political discourse civil. I respect Sen. Obama's antipathy towards guns and religion. If it were the other way around, I would not have explained it the way he did: "they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." I respect Sen. Biden's desire to tax-and-spend. I believe that he thinks that's the best route for our country when he says he thinks that's the best route for our country. I wouldn't call it a "patriotic" thing to do, as he did, and accuse everyone who, like myself, think tax-and-spend is wrong, I wouldn't accuse us of being "unpatriotic." And I respect Sen. Obama's belief that socialism and a welfare society is what is best for America. I don't call his supporters, who stand to gain a windfall from his welfare proposals, I don't accuse them of being "selfish." I think they're great Americans with a different point of view. He said I was "making a virtue out of selfishness" just because I think capitalism is superior to socialism. We need to do away with these divisive and dismissive political tactics that the Obama campaign has engaged in, and above all things, we need to quit acting like Cousin Hussein and quote scripture against our political counterparts.

Ghost, since it is not obvous, I'll explain. Did you read both of my posts? Biden reports $319,000 of taxable income, yet gives only $995 to charity. However, Biden has said on the stump that anyone who doesn't want to pay more in taxes (money to a good cause, for redistribution) is selfish. Can you not see this as the epitome of hypocracy? A heretic is a man who sees with his own eyes. Gotthold Ephraim Lessing.
