ABC News' Huma Khan Reports: President George W. Bush on Monday got an MRI of his left shoulder and a cortisone injection for pain at the Walter Reed Medical Center before visiting wounded soldiers at the hospital.

White House physician, Dr. Richard Tubb conducted the MRI and set up the appointment after Bush experienced intermittent pain, but the doctor said it's "probably just wear and tear from an active individual."

"It's in good shape ... it's about an 80 mile-an-hour fastball," Bush said when asked by reporters how his shoulder is doing.

Deputy press secretary Gordon Johndroe said the pain has not impacted the president's duties.

Bush was at Walter Reed Monday afternoon -- in his 16th visit to the hospital -- to meet 13 soldiers who were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. He presented Purple Hearts to seven soldiers and also met the family of a service member who is in the ICU.

"Every time I come here, I get amazed at the quality of care, the professionalism, and the courage of our troops. I can say with certainty that the health care that our troops get in military medical facilities is excellent," Bush said. "I am so pleased to hear from spouses and other loved ones about the care they get, as well, when they come to visit their wounded -- wounded child or wounded husband or wounded spouse."

Bush said it would be his last trip as president to Walter Reed.

"You know, I oftentimes say being the Commander-in-Chief of the military is the thing I'll miss the most, and coming here to Walter Reed is a reminder of why I'll miss it," the president said.

Results from the MRI are expected later today.

"I must say, I just do not understand why anyone would try and defend our president."

Couldn't agree more...wonder how this Blagojevich or the birth certificate thing will work out for him?

Poor Bush, had to have a MRI,
pathetic little man.
Doesn't give one thing about the soldiers
or anybody else. Otherwise he would not
could not have lied up a storm.
They couldn't do an MRI on his head
he doesn't have anything in it to see.
Can't you tell by eight years it's completely empty.
Is it January 20th yet? It is taking to
long to get here and get this NUT down those stairs and into a car and go!!!

Of course he says he will miss being
Commander in Chief he won't be able to
kill anymore. This nut!!!
What are they doing giving him an MRI
on his shoulder he needs to have one done
on his head. But then again what good
would it do, He's an empty shell of a
man. Heck, I wouldn't even call him
human, because he has not heart either.
Goodbye Bush!!!!!

I bet that on the long run President Bush will go down in history as a great US President. That’s assured. Iraq war was a right one and Iraq is on the right way to democracy. Iraq government and Iraq people don’t want by no means the withdrawal of US troops. They know too well that with a small US military presence their future, their freedom, their prosperity can be assured: more or less the same old story as it has happened in Germany, Japan, Italy and South Korea, which all caused much grater problems. The surge has worked and is working very well and terrorists have been almost defeated, they are disarranged and are fleeing in disarray to Afghanistan where they will try to reorganize their scanty forces. Iraq army is getting to be well organised and will counter without problems fanatical rebels. America has been defended with success against all its inside and outside enemies by a great President. So much in defiance of all his lightweight fault-finders. God bless the great President Bush!

Bush needs an injection in his brain

Silver,
You have got to be kidding?
He is the worst President ever.
He has done nothing. When we leave
Iraq altogether it will completely fall
apart. I guess in your eyes killing and
maiming our own soldiers for lies, and
killing and maiming innocent men, women
and children makes a great President.
Bush has done nothing he is a failure of
the worst kind.
He won't go after Bin Laden, at all.
This is a man who cares about the
United States of America, he has not
for one minute made us safer.
He is a complete failure.
Thank God he will be gone soon.
Thank God!!!!

There's a 50/50 chance that Bush knew which shoulder was his left.

It's an RSI from patting himself on the back.

Now can this same cortizone procedure be applied to that part of his body above his shoulders? At least then, we, as a country, could use to rebuild our relations with other countries around the world. Let's also charge "W" for this service as he certainly has not done anything to deserve this benefit, esp health benefits and care for others less fortunate!!

Somebody should do an MRI on Obama's cerebrum and see if those areas that allow for truthfulness are fully formed. You know, prenatal care in Kenya was pretty poor back in the early '60s.
