U.S. Looks to Evacuate 150 Americans and Family from Gaza
January 12, 2009 12:54 PM
ABC News' Kirit Radia reports: The United States is seeking to evacuate about 150 people from Gaza, both American citizens and some of their non-American family members, as fighting continues.
This is in addition to the 27 people the US was able to extract through the Erez crossing a couple weeks ago in coordination with the Israeli government. Those people were transported to Amman, Jordan where they were able to arrange plans for onward travel.
"We have received requests from around 150 Americans and non-American family members. We are looking into making arrangements for getting them out and will do so as soon as it is safe," State Department spokesman Gordon Duguid said today. There's no word yet on when this might happen.
Even after this group is evacuated there will likely still be some Americans left in Gaza because they either did not register with the US embassy or consulate, or perhaps do not wish to leave.

What makes Pres. Ahmadinejd smile?- He knows that Jesus is a Palestinian. Jesus was and forever will be a Palestinian, by birth. Moses an African became an adoptive son of Palestine. Both share the faith of Judaism. The tribe lead out of Eygpt was called to present day Isrealites/Isrealis. The Country /Nation of Palenstine must be re-confirm first and foremost before any "States" can recognised. The Torah the real Holy book of Jesus and Moses states that the children of Isreal were led to a land of peace to live out their lives. PALESTINE.
Isreali state, not until the Nation is recognise FIRST! The US President and others want a State to be granted first, with Palestinian placed on reservations. This is ass backwards. Every Christian should be offended that Jesus's people are being ethnically cleansed by same portion of the jews who have betrayed both Jesus and Moses, remember Pres. Perez. The American government /Christians have no shame in violating the First and Second commandments of the Ten commandments, likewise no shame about the Palestinian and their country. Country First. The Nation's capital is Jerusalem, future states can be Ramallah,Jenin, Tel Avi, Hafai, etc .
Palestinians are Muslims, Jews, and or Christian. The Isreali's desire a nationality, well choose Palestinian's or African's. Jew will never be a Nationality, take another Exodus! Country First. Palestine. Statehood by voting, stoping killing the descendants of Jesus the Christ , the Palestinians. May the peace and blessing of the Almighty God forever bless you with the light of UNDERSTANDING. Brother Michael
