Former "Bachelor" and "Dancing with the Stars" Contestant, Melissa Rycroft, Joins ABC's "Good Morning America" As Special Contributor

Melissa Rycroft has joined ABC News as a special contributor to "Good Morning America," it was announced today by Jim Murphy, senior executive producer of "Good Morning America." In her role as a special contributor, Rycroft will appear on the morning news broadcast throughout the summer bringing fun and uplifting stories from around the country. Her first appearance was earlier this morning, Monday, June 22.
Rycroft became a familiar face to television viewers when she received the final rose from Jason Mesnick on ABC’s hit show “The Bachelor” from Warner Horizon Television. After a surprise turn of events and a public break-up with Mesnick, Rycroft bounced back better than ever as a surprise addition to "Dancing with the Stars." Rycroft finished third in the competition but won many fans from her reality television fame.
A native of Dallas, TX, Rycroft attended the University of North Texas where she graduated with a degree in Marketing. Rycroft is also a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. In 2009, People Magazine voted her one of the World's Most Beautiful and Maxim Magazine included her on their Hot 100 list.
ABC News' "Good Morning America" is anchored by Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts. Chris Cuomo is the news anchor and Sam Champion is the weather anchor. The Emmy Award winning morning news program airs live, Monday - Friday from 7:00am to 9:00am/EDT on the ABC Television Network. Jim Murphy is the senior executive producer and Tom Cibrowski is the executive producer of ABC News' "Good Morning America."
