As a veterinarian...my professional opinion is that cats are cool...cats are "bad ass!"...and it takes a real man to appreciate a cat...

I LOVE my 3 cats as if they were my children.

And I might add that CATS are the COOLEST , I am a born and bred tough New Jersey man and I would fight to the end for my cats or any cat and as the saying goes CATS RULE DOGS DROOL.....

Actually, I think Dan's got it backwards. Since cat's tend to be self-sufficient, it's the men who are needy that don't like them because cats don't provide the attention they crave. Strong men, like my hubby, love cats!

My husband and son both love their cats. They like how self sufficient they are, and watch them stalk prey with keen admiration.
Nothing against dogs, but what is it they do? Beg and fetch? You'd never find a self respecting feline exhibiting such subservient and demeaning behavior, trying to please. I mean... they have their dignity! If someone is worthy, they may, only may, bestow a lap sit and some purring as a reward for your petting. And if you're really, truly worthy, the cat may present you with a mouse or lizard as a reward for your indulgences... preferably alive.
A dog wouldn't share his prey.

Cats rock! There is something wrong with ya if you don't think the same.

As a companion to two cats and a dog I can testify to the machismo of cats. My cat, Snickers, (a female) makes my dog, Maddie, a rotweiler cower. It's pretty pathetic.

I am a complete dog lover, but recently a five month kitten found my front bush and she is now at home with us. Her name is Coco and it just amazes me how self-sufficient, smart and curious cats are. I love her and my dog and they bring a nice balnce to the household.

Cats are so cool. They don't hump your legs or sniff your crocth and they don't smell like dogs do. Did I mention they don't bark.
Real men love cats and I'm not afraid to show my affection to them in front of anybody. So kiss your cat today, I will.
