ABC News' George Sanchez Reports: An individual was arrested outside the White House north fence Monday afternoon, for allegedly uttering threats against the President, Ed Donovan of the U.S. Secret Service tells ABC News.
According to Donovan, the individual was holding a suspicious package. After the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department investigated the package, the Secret Service was able to issue an "all-clear" for the situation.
The alleged threats came just hours before President Bush is set to deliver his annual State of the Union speech. Bush will make the address from the U.S. Capitol just after 9:00 p.m. ET Monday evening.

It would have been nice to have had a president that actually cared about the American people. No respect for upholding the Constitution.....

This man is twice as dumb as George Bush and that is sad.

Hopefully the package contains a set of functional brains that include common-sense lobes which can be implanted into various members of the White House and US Congress.

President Bush has done a great job during his presidency. I could wish that he would have done more in the financial aspect, but he can't be good at everything.

Okay, I know there are folks who don't agree with or totally dislike Bush, but given the country's current state of affairs, it was the stupidest thing that could've been done to voice that sentiment. Then again, it's possible he might not've been playing with a full deck. Somehow this reminds me of that story a week or so back about a shotgun-toting guy walking around in the Capitol. What's with these folks?

Who cares for what Bush will say. He is history anyway. He should actually cancelled the State of the Union speech and retire to jhis Texas ranch and never show his face ever again. What a terrible legacy he is leaving behind. He should be ashamed of himself.
