Hard-Partying Paris to Find Friends on TV

February 26, 2008 9:32 AM

Nm_hilton_p_080226_mnABC News' Sheila Marikar Reports: Apparently, back-to-back birthday parties haven't helped the newly 27-year-old Paris Hilton procure many friends -- or enough publicity.

Usmagazine.com reports the heiress plans to search for a best buddy on a new reality show.

"Paris is tired of the haters and she's looking for someone new," a source told Usmagazine. "She's looking for someone new and cool who she can trust."

Hilton made her first foray into reality TV with "The Simple Life" in 2003, in which she and her (presumably) ex-BFF Nicole Richie sampled the lifestyles of the not so rich and famous.

The untitled show is expected to be picked up by VH1 or MTV, and according to Us, it'll "be full of good chick drama and you will see a side of Paris not seen on 'Simple Life.'"

While she may need help in the friends department, Hilton's not lacking for romance. Her latest boy toy is rumored to be Benji Madden -- the twin brother of Richie's boyfriend, Joel Madden.

Oh, yeah, right. A televised search for a "friend". That will really weed out the syncophants and publicity seekers that she's been hanging out with.

Dumb down television here we go again. Will this poor sap ever get off our screens?
She is just sad, sad indeed.

I'm amazed why the dumb are so attracted to this porn star - and she can't even do that well.

She is garbage. Plain and simple.
The dumb deserve her.

Oh god, not again... when will this girl just go away? She's a spoiled, useless person. I remember fans of her slamming people for saying she wouldn't change (hello charity work). Well, Paris is still the same old pathetic person.
