After Recipegate, Cindy McCain Heads to 'The View'
April 16, 2008 3:41 PM
Where’s the wife of a presidential nominee to hunker down as the ’08 election heats up?
“The View,” of course.
Cindy McCain, wife of presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain, will co-host the ABC daytime talk show live, Monday, April 21. She previously joined her husband as a guest on the show in 2004.
Barbara Walters’ coffee table has become a campaign trail pit stop in the past year. McCain dropped by “The View” last week; Democratic contender Barack Obama sat down with the ladies in March.
Obama's Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, was on the show in 2007 but has yet to appear this year. Republican hopeful Ron Paul dropped by the show last December, before dropping out of the presidential race.
Cindy McCain has been the least visible of the major contenders' spouses during the campaign. Co-hosting “The View” will be a rare press appearance -- and, perhaps, an opportunity to defend her cooking skills. On Tuesday, it was revealed that some of the "McCain Family Recipes" listed on the candidate's campaign Web site had been lifted verbatim from the Food Network. The campaign said an intern was responsible for the gaffe; Cindy McCain had nothing to do with it.

ACTUALLY white blue collar PA writes: "I actually wouldn't mind Michelle Obama if she wasn't so agressive and bitter."
Oh gee. A black woman is "aggressive". Nice touch of "subtle" racism you got going on there. I bet you think Hillary is "assertive", right?

Watch out, Cindy will find the pressures of the White House too much and be back to popping pills. Remember, she was a party to the break up of McCain's first marriage -- she and McCain were involved in an illict affair while he was still married. Guess he liked the money - wonder what she saw in him?

"Republican hopeful Ron Paul dropped by the show last December, before dropping out of the presidential race."
Apparently ABC doesn't know that RON PAUL has NEVER dropped out of the race, which doesn't say much for its credibility as a news organization.
Vote for RON PAUL, and let the Republican party know that liberal John McCain is not acceptable!

Iowa says:
"if I were I pick the first lady to represent the U.S., I would certainly prefer Cindy McCain than Michelle Obama"
and
"However, she doesn't realized that there are many many americans, especially immigrants have to work as hard..."
Michelle Obama is full of life. She is pleasant to listen to, and guess what iowa: She is a good lawyer and knows her english grammar in-and-out. That's something to look forward to, if you catch my drift...

I'll take Michelle over a Cindy Plagerism McCain. LOL!

Go Hillary. Great debate.

Wow.. so she's coming on the Elisabeth Hasselbeck Show?
No surprise.
Now we can hear EH talk how kids should be allowed to do whatever they want on the playground. Unless of course it is to her daughter. Then when a child kicks her child, we can hear how she was fit to be tied and confronted this kid and explained that her child is not a ball. Remember that little endearing story? Wonder why no one brought that up today while she was on her rant that abc has on their video clips?

Hasselbeck will be more obnoxious than ever.
Posted by: Leslie | Apr 17, 2008 12:50:13 AM
It maybe worth taping just to see how Cindy handles Hasselbeck's constant interruptions. ahhh... on second thought.. not.

I wonder if anyone will ask her what it was like to be the other woman?
Posted by: Amanda | Apr 17, 2008 12:58:16 AM
Maybe they can have her do a cooking segment.
Posted by: Sarah | Apr 17, 2008 1:01:47 AM
Indeed. Perhaps she can explain how having an affair w/ a married man & father is acting in a Christian manner.
Posted by: Rebecca | Apr 17, 2008 1:14:53 AM
She stole drugs from a charity. She bought her way out of jail.
She became a trophy wife to a man 18 yrs her elder, after he was willing to cheat on his wife w/ her.
The show could be about trophy wives and whether or not it was worth it.

I would rather McCain's FIRST wife be a cohost.

Cindy,s appearance on the "View" would be the best place for America to get to know the next First Lady.
