Star Jones, Al Reynolds Split

April 23, 2008 12:34 PM

Apg_star_al_080423_mn The show's over for Star Jones and Al Reynolds.

The attorney and former "View" co-host filed for divorce from her husband  of 3-and-a-half-years March 26, according to "Entertainment Tonight."

"Several years ago, I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life," Jones said in a statement to "ET." "A month ago I filed for divorce.  The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts.  I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace, and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman."

Jones, 46, married Reynolds, 39, in November 2004. Their over-the-top wedding at New York City's Saint Bartholomew's Church boasted 500 guests, 12 bridesmaids, three matrons of honor and dozens of corporate "sponsors" who donated clothes and goods for the event in exchange for mentions on Jones' Web site and "The View."

Jones left the ABC talk show in June 2006 after announcing that her contract wasn't renewed. In August 2007, she launched her own talk show on truTV (formerly Court TV). It was canceled six months later.

I wonder when he's going to write a book coming out and announcing the date of his commitment ceremony?

Posted by: tony | Apr 23, 2008 1:06:07 PM

Yea, definately not surprised...

All the gay blogs said this morning “We told you so”

I am not surprised at all. I know she heard a lot of "I told you so's" from her friends and family. I feel sorry for her. She really, really wanted this and now it's over. I love Star. I think she is an amazingly strong woman and I'm sure she'll get over it...just like we all do. Now, if he "comes out" I wouldn't be surprised about that either. I'm sure he will have his next 15 minutes!!

That's because they are both disgusting and useless....oh, and because he's GAY! HELLO!

Why dont you idiots leave Star Jones alone. She has enough to deal with and does not need you fools to rub it in.I am so tired of you self righteous idiots.

Who? And... who?

Not enough room in the marriage for two narcissistic personalities?

Posted by: Terri | Apr 23, 2008 1:50:21 PM

So Star wants privacy NOW? After subjecting us to every boorish detail of this sham of a marriage, she can't have it both ways.

I'm sure Terry McMillan can give her some coping tips.

.....yawn

Not shocked even in the least... I was an advid watcher of the view during the time of the wedding and OMG it was truly revolting how she just went on and on about it EVERY day.

You don't really know someone until you divorce them. We will see who takes the higher road as this plays out. Divorce sucks and its a shame that her love and enthusiasm wasn't enough. I'm convinced that a happy union is not the norm in relationships.

Human = error, God = divine.

We all make mistakes, learn from it and move it.

Leave Star Jones alone, she will learn from it, she is not the first and she will not be the last.

When you're GAY you never go straight again! Well not fully! I wish the best to both and hope they follow their true paths in life.

When will people understand Love
in inward and always outward.
"Love with your Heart not your eyes."
