Star Jones, Al Reynolds Split

The show's over for Star Jones and Al Reynolds.
The attorney and former "View" co-host filed for divorce from her husband of 3-and-a-half-years March 26, according to "Entertainment Tonight."
"Several years ago, I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life," Jones said in a statement to "ET." "A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace, and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman."
Jones, 46, married Reynolds, 39, in November 2004. Their over-the-top wedding at New York City's Saint Bartholomew's Church boasted 500 guests, 12 bridesmaids, three matrons of honor and dozens of corporate "sponsors" who donated clothes and goods for the event in exchange for mentions on Jones' Web site and "The View."
Jones left the ABC talk show in June 2006 after announcing that her contract wasn't renewed. In August 2007, she launched her own talk show on truTV (formerly Court TV). It was canceled six months later.

To all who say leave them alone: Why? She chose to make a public spectacle of her marriage ceremony and profit from any way possible. Now she wants privacy? You can't have it both ways.

This lady basically commercialized and practically sold tickets to her own wedding, She took EVERY and I MEAN every chance to talk about it, even the other ladies on the VIEW got tired of it, and then this lady due to her won greed, stupidity and self rightousness was asked to leave the VIEW..... She wanted to talk about it at every turn,......And now she demands privacy.... NAHHHH I hate the Papparazzi but this time I wish them Good Hunting. !!! And I think the Husband ought to consider himself lucky on this one...... I am surprised she didnt ask JC Penny to donate she sheets for her wedding night bed in exchange for a mention on YV.... OH wait... I think she did.

Star changed after she had her weight loss surgery. Her ego went out the roof. I stopped watching The View because of her over the top crap. Especially the wedding!! Remember the temper tantrums that she had?? I was happy that she got kicked off The View. I thought it was a hoot that she was marrying a gay man. At least Oprah didn't marry hers.

I agree with all of you who say you can't have the bad with the good as for as publicity goes. It amazes me how these celebrities will stoop to any length to prositute themselves for a buck but when things go bad, they ask for privacy. I don't feel one bit sorry for her. Star Jones loves the spotlight and I guarantee you she will find a way to make money from this - I smell another book deal.

Star Jones, Yuk, I stopped watching the view because of her and the constant talk about her wedding so now she wants privacy? Maybe she has already sold her story to one of the tabloids complete with pictures, wouldn't put it past her, what a lowlife.

See, i knew she was dreaming. I wasn't wishing the worst for her at all, but she wanted to married so bad that she wouln't listen to people; she painted this fairy tale picture of her husband. I wish her the best, she's a beautiful strong black woman.
