Tom's Son Cruises Into Family Biz

April 22, 2008 9:55 AM

Inf_tom_connor_080422_mn Looks like a love for risky business runs in the family.

Tom Cruise's son, Connor, is jumping into the acting world, according to People magazine. The 13-year-old will make his big screen debut in the drama "Seven Pounds" playing a young version of the film's star (and Cruise family friend) Will Smith.

Connor's been a regular on movie sets since he was adopted by Cruise and his then-wife, Nicole Kidman. Despite his pedigree, he still had to audition for the part.

While Connor's a second-generation star on the rise, Lindsay Lohan's little sister, Ali, is a sibling stepping into the spotlight -- Ali's begun filming her first feature flick, according to People. The 14-year-old will play a popular high school senior in "Mostly Ghostly," a film based on the popular series of pre-teen books by R.L. Stine.

Ali's got her eye on the small screen too. She and her mom, Dina, have been jet-setting between Long Island and Hollywood shooting a reality show about their search for fame. It's set to premiere on E! this summer.

Oh, finally Tom remembered about his other kids! Well, kid anyway, I guess he only cares when you're auditioning for a part in a movie with a big star. Maybe since Jolie and Pitt made collecting kids trendy, Cruise will show off his adopted kids and be like "See? I had 'em first! I just forgot about them for a few years!"

Connor, be thankful his blood does NOT run through your veins. You still have a chance..................RUN!

Attitude Dude: That is a horrible thing to say! Even though Tom has some strange beliefs he's a good father and a caring person!

Mika....idiot, how do you know what he does and doesn't do?? get a life.

...Tom Cruise is an overexposed idiot who needs to retire and disappear from the public view. No one cares anymore about his work. And his "wife"...lol Please. When did a tv star from "Dawson's Creek" become someone to look up to for fashion and trendy hair style advice??! It's called "A stylist", people...she isn't that bright to think of it on her own! lol Insane. She is an idiot nobody, as well...marrying "up", in her eyes...to Mr. Hollywood....makes her a joke..not a power player.

I think Tom Cruise is a great actor, father, husband and person. His beliefs are his and if he feels strongly about them then they can't be wrong for him. Just like any other religious person, if what they believe in works for them who are we to criticize them. At least he keeps his kids private unlike Angelina Jolie who feels she has to constantly tell the world of her good deeds. I don't read about anyone knocking her for all the crazy crap she did, ex. kissing brother, etc.
