Kate Hudson Hops on the Tour de Lance

May 19, 2008 11:43 AM

Nm_lancekate_080519_mnLance Armstrong's cycling through the Hollywood A-list faster than he pedals through the Alps.

The seven-time Tour de France winner spent the weekend with Kate Hudson in Austin, Texas, according to People magazine. They dined at high-end eatery Eddie V's Friday night and hit up the Hula Hut with Armstrong's three kids and a group of friends Saturday.

Before their weekend getaway, Armstrong and Hudson went to a New York City afterparty Thursday for Kid Rock's Madison Square Garden concert.

Last week, Hudson, 29, split from Owen Wilson, her on-again, off-again boyfriend of a year and a half.

Before latching onto Hudson, Armstrong, 36, was linked to another blond actress many years his junior: Ashley Olsen, 21. According to the New York Post, the two drank and made out at the Grammercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar in October, the same month he broke up with designer Tory Burch.

Armstrong didn't always hop from woman to woman as if switching gears. He dated Sheryl Crow for more than two years and got engaged to the singer-songwriter in September 2005, but they called off the wedding and split in February 2006. Armstrong was married to Kristin Richard for five years and had three children with her. The couple filed for divorce in September 2003.

Was the title of this story intended to be a double entendre?

Yuck, cannot stand him. He made three kids with his ex-wife, that is who he should be focusing on. Also, I became a permanent non-fan of this guy when his entire body was filled with cancer and when miraculously it went away, he said God had nothing to do with it. It was all the talent of his doctors. I hardly think so.

I normally make it a practice not to post on entertainment "News", but my complete and utter lack of respect for Lance Armstrong ["Mr. Ego"] took over. I see this guy as a complete nerd in high school who took to biking to prove himself, then, with the obivous help of doping and steroids, climbed to the top of the "cycling world". He dumps his wife who nursed and cared for him throughout his battle with cancer [she helped him win that battle and is a huge reason he is alive today] and he then promptly divorces her to date airhead "celebrities" to stroke his obviously fragile ego. Everytime I see some doofus wearing a "LiveStrong" ANYTHING nowaday, I gag.
Kate should have stuck with nice, good-looking, down-to-earth Owen Wilson. Whatever.

I think this utter loser is really hurting cancer fundraising now. Because of his utter lack of morals, many people no longer donate to a worthy cause simply because his name is often associated with it. The best thing he can do for the cause is to distance himself from it as far as possible. Oh yeah, and as fellow Austinite, I'd prefer he distanced himself from Austin and Texas as well. I'm sick of my state taking the rap for idiot politicians and doofus psuedo-celebrities.

Both of these people need to focus on their kids instead of hopping from bed to bed. You don't involve your kids in your relationship until after a least a month or 2. These kids will never know any kind of stability. That is part of the problem with kids these days, especially celebrities kids. Their parents are out partying all night instead of at home reading to their kids in bed. They leave that to their nannies. I don't have a problem with people having nannies (I used to be a nanny) but the parents should be home with them at night.

I detest Lance Armstrong and don't think much more of Kate Hudson. I say the two deserve each other. Lance is condescending and arrogant. I have no respect for someone who banks their pre chemo sperm, nearly dies from cancer, fathers 3 children then dumps them and their mother after he regains his health. I could understand brain changes from chemo and radiation contributing to his outlook on life. But, when he dumped girlfriend Sheryl Crow after she confided in him her breast cancer diagnosis I lost all respect for Lance and his athletic accomplishments. Kate can have him. If he's an upgrade from Owen Wilson he deserves her.

Hollywood love, how crappy In bed, in love. Out of bed, next please. Lance is a dog and Kate is becoming more airhead by the day. Do these people really think they are all that?

Does anyone who posted a comment here know - or have you ever met - either Lance Armstrong or Kate Hudson? Do you know anything about their personalities, character, personal lives or past relationships? Do you know exactly why Lance and his wife split or why he didn't marry Sheryl Crow? These comments are totally absurd... the fact that people who are informed with literally zero facts make judgment on two people who apparently spent a weekend together - oh no, not that! - and may or may not have intriduced their families to each other is just absolutley ridiculous. You're making these horrible comments based on what you read in US Weekly or the trashy magazines you pick up at the supermarket - who, wow what a surprise, make up stories or twist the truth in order to engage you!! Wake up people - the fact is Lance Armstrong has raised more money for cancer than you and all your best friends could hope to do 10 lifetimes. I have no idea what kind of guy he is or what type of person Kate Hudson is... and none of us can pass judgement on them until you do know them.

YUCK. What do women see in this guy? He's ugly and by many accounts treats women like crap. Sheryl Crow is better off without him.

Wow such lovely comments about people with such high morals. What was that saying those who live in glass houses should not through stones. I suggest to everyone on this thread they think long and hard if their every move was documented what people would be saying about them. The truth is we are all flawed. I hope that Lance and Kate both find the right person to spend their lives with it maybe with each other who knows. Best of luck!

Hmmm....the jilted women of the world really like to unload & let their venom spew when they think a man has no leash. Get over it ladies. You don't know a damn thing about Lance.

This guy has had more woman on his lap than a napkin.....he is a serial dater and I've lost respect for him. I personally think that Kate Hudson has more sense than to get caught up in this trap....we hope...

I don't know either of these people but the comments here seem more than a little over the top. Armstrong, a seven time winner of the worlds most crueling competion and Hudson, a Oscar nominee and Gloden Globe winner be smeared by a bunch of people that probably spend their day frying bologna sandwiches at their trailer park. Wow.

Not only is Lance Armstrong the most successful doper of all time, he's also the most successful loser! You're a laughing stock. Kate Hudson will soon be just another notch on his belt.

Mike: It stated in the story that his kids were with them! I did NOT assume that. Kids are easily hurt when their parents date a lot of different people and get them involved too soon and then end up breaking up with the person. My husband was a single parent for 9 years (He was a widower) before we met. He only dated a couple of other people because he didn't want his kids to be hurt. These celebs don't care about how their dating life affects their kids.

BTW: To the other person. I DON'T live in a trailer. To assume that makes an @ZZ out of you.

I think Lance is only doing what's natural. Going from Hot (cheryl crow) to hotter (Olsen twin) to hottest (Kate Hudson). Who is next on Lance's List???? Tony Parker had better keep his eyes on his girl . . . I LOVE you Eva!

Posted by: Jay | May 19, 2008 11:46:03 PM

He must still be on the steroids. And she broke up with someone else just last week? Turning into a right little slapper isn't she?

Posted by: Melanie | May 20, 2008 2:53:32 AM

Notice that Denise didn't deny the part about frying bologna sandwiches.

What's wrong with Lance dating anyone? If you're dating someone, nobody cares. But he's well known from Tour De France, and all of the sudden, he becomes immoral? Get real, people!
