Proving just how important Barack Obama’s new rumor-busting Web site could be, a Tennessee Democratic Party member told a local newspaper that the presumptive nominee of his party “may be terrorist connected.”

The Nashville City Paper quoted Fred Hobbs, identified as an executive committee member of the state Democratic Party, in an article Friday examining why Rep. Lincoln Davis, D-Tenn., was withholding his endorsement of Obama.

Hobbs told the City Paper he understands why Davis is slow to endorse, because Hobbs said he, too, is “skeptical” of Obama.

“Maybe (it’s) the same reason I don’t want to — I don’t exactly approve of a lot of the things he stands for and I’m not sure we know enough about him,” Hobbs told the paper. “He’s got some bad connections, and he may be terrorist connected for all I can tell. It sounds kind of like he may be.”

The Tennessee Democratic Party later issued a statement saying Hobbs was “obviously misinformed” and that Tennessee Democrats are united behind Obama.

But Hobbs’ statement was an example of the kind of remarks that apparently led the Obama campaign to launch a new Web site this week dedicated to fighting rumors about his candidacy.

not "newsworthy" enough for the media to comment about.� Can either of the other
presidential candidates truthfully come close to this? ... Just a question for
each of us to seek an answer,and not a statement.

You see...character is what's shown when the public is not looking. There were
no cameras or press invited to what you are about to read about, and the story
comes from one person in New Hampshire.

One evening last July, Senator John McCain of Arizona arrived at the New
Hampshire home of Erin Flanagan for sandwiches, chocolate-chip cookies and a
heartfelt talk about Iraq.� They had met at a presidential debate, when she
asked the candidates what they would do to bring home American soldiers - -
soldiers like her brother, who had been killed in action a few months earlier.

Mr. McCain did not bring cameras or press. Instead, he brought his youngest son,
James McCain, 19, then a private first class in the Marine Corps about to leave
for Iraq.� Father and son sat down to hear more about Ms. Flanagan's brother
Michael Cleary, a 24-year-old Army First Lieutenant killed by an ambush ... a
roadside bomb.

Two of Jimmy's three older brothers went into the military. Doug McCain, 48, was
a Navy pilot. Jack McCain, 21, is to graduate from the Naval Academy next year,
raising the chances that his father, if elected, could become the first
president since Dwight D. Eisenhower with a son at war.

I chose to share this with those who I believe will pass it on, to others who

but he was raised Muslim and was given a Muslim burial at Barack's
family's request.

With mother Stanley Ann Dunham. In his own autobiography Obama writes,
'How and when the marriage occurred remains a bit murky, a bill of particulars
that I have never quite had the courage to explore.' (His father was still
married to his first wife Kezia in Kenya at the time.)

I'm sure Kimmel will have a hard time walking once he sees Obama and starts fawning like the rest of the libs.

McCain is such a hypocrite.

He is personally attacking Obama because Eric Holder is vetting his VP. McCain is claiming Holder's recommendation of a presidential pardon.

Lets see, more recently Scooter Libbey was given a presidential pardon. Where was McCain's sharp criticism then?

What's really hypocritical is McCain's own VP vetter, Arthur Culvahouse, was a lobbyist for Fanny Mae. The same company that Jim Johnson was Chairman and CEO of. And, Arthur Culvahouse recommended Anthony Kennedy and Robert Bork to Ronald Reagan as Supreme Court Judges. So much for the recent decision on the detainees at Guantanamo Bay.

McCain is condemning Eric Holder because he may have made a recommendation to Bill Clinton. But McCain's own agent to select his VP was a lobbyist for a mortgage company. Talk about throwing stones from inside a glass house!

McCain is such a hypocrite.

Defeat McCain in '08. We don't need another Republican in the White House with that kind of honesty.

John McCain's wife, Cindy McCain is a recovering drug addict. She admitted it herself.

Boy, that would be a great first lady, wouldn't it?

Obama mentioned his church during his appearance with Oprah. It's the Trinity Church of Christ. I found this interesting.
