Are the Jolie-Pitts Losing Their Luster?

Considering how much money was spent on the first photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's twins -- reportedly $14 million, split between People and Hello! Magazines -- you'd think the cooing over newborns Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon and the rest of the gang would be audible from outer space.
But Roseanne Barr's drowning that out with her ranting. In a Friday post titled "John Voight" on her blog, the comedian went off on Hollywood's first family.
"Angelina Jolie and her vacuous hubby Brad Pitt make about forty million dollars a year in violent psychopathic movies and give away three of it to starving children trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity as they spit out more dunces that will consume more than their fair share and wreck the earth even more," Barr writes.
"Also, Miss Jolie says she likes McCain too and hasn't decided who to endorse....huh?," Barr continues. "Aren't you supposed to be somewhat enlightened, or do you not know that the African daughter you hold in every picture had parents who suffered and died because of the Republican party's worldwide economic assault on Africa over the last few decades since Reagan?"
She ends her post with, "Ps....it might be good for your Asian and African children's self esteem to know you support a brown man for the leader of the free world."
Barr may be extreme in her distaste for the Jolie-Pitts, but she may not be alone. It seems others are also growing weary of the picture-perfect family. According to the blog CoverAwards, People's Aug. 4 issue, featuring a 19-page photo spread of the family, reportedly sold only 2.5 million copies, a "huge disappointment as Time Inc. was predicting it would be well over 3 million after spending nearly $6 million.”
Representatives for People declined to release newsstand figures to ABCNews.com.
UPDATE:
John Voight’s firing back at Barr after she trashed his daughter and son-in-law, and she’s blaming (who else?) the media for making her think poorly of the Jolie-Pitts.
In a statement to entertainment news show “Extra,” Voight called the former sitcom star “sick of mind” and said “We can never be surprised at what vile evil comes from the mouth of a confessed victim of child abuse at the hands of her own parents.”
Meanwhile, late Tuesday, Barr published a mea culpa titled “I Do Not Know Brangelina” on her blog, writing, “they might be good people in the flesh, but the media's images of them are smelly and vile, and I must always attack the media's representation of what is good or cool, because those who inhabit the media world of glamour and entertainment and fashion and gossip are horrid people who have no talent of any kind.”
ABCNews.com’s requests to Barr’s publicist for further comment were not immediately returned.
Barr didn’t seem to have a problem with the inhabitants of the media world for the nine years she starred in her own sitcom. Perhaps she’d be less inclined to bash Brangelina and the entertainment world if she still had a place in it?

Maybe Roseanne should check her facts before typing.... The Bush administration has given more aid to Africa than any President before him. But of course, the left wing media would never report that. Having said that, I, too, am about sick of the Jolie-Pitts.

Well I for one are sick to death of them also...from the first ahhh over them. I would think she should be ashamed...after all Brad Pitt was someone else's husband and she threw herself all over him like a scuz..oh well if the shoe fits. I would pay 2 cents to see either of them or their beloved offspring.

If anyone can afford to give 6 children a home and pay for their education and give them the attention they need, more power to them. I am not a Pitt-Jolie fan, but leave them alone.

I read the first sentence of this article then realized that reading the words of obnoxious piece of trash like Roseanne Barr as she carries on about two idiot actors is a ridiculous waste of time.

What a kooky has-been. Pitt has done great things for New Orleans and Angelina has done great things for Africa. If part of it is career based calculation - who the hell cares?

I agree. Rosanne is telling it like it is. The Jolie-Pitts are enough to make you vomit. Why do we have to see so much of them everywhere we turn? Give me a break, all the positive posts are nauseating. Attention Robots...go see more Jolie-Pitt movies...make them richer than they already are....GROSS. He is a cheating loser and she over-rated. Neither can act either.

i agree with roseanne. she has an opinion just like everyone else. i dont see everyone attacking the stupid person who posted a comment about this three hours ago.
also, should we really be pleased the elephant party donated money to fight the aids epidemic that they started?

Don't all jump over Rosanne just yet...at first I valued her opinion as much as expired milk, but if you read what she is saying she has a point. While the Jolie-Pitt clan can have as many children as they want, they sure have the money to support the kids, if you look at what Jolie stands for the fact that she would think for one second to support McCain is appalling. She hasn't picked a pres candidate yet? Is she aware that the election is in November? For someone that is about refugees and enlightenment, I am disappointed myself in her actions and recent comments about the pres election. Also she can’t act her way out of a wet paper bag. She sells her sex appeal and that is it. I can’t remember the last time I saw Brad in a role that was remotely challenging. I am over the both of them and I made a point to not buy People magazine when they were on the cover.

You may hate Roseanne, but you have to admit she has a point.....
I am so sick and tired of Pitts-Jolie. And while I can admire what they are trying to do, they need to go away for a while.....
