Lohan Fam Locks Horns With Newsman

You'd think between a 14-year-old girl who accidentally auditioned for an adult film director and a 22-year-old daughter who coordinates her tattoos with those of her BFF and rumored girlfriend, the Lohan parents would have enough on their hands.
But no. Apparently, they have time to lock horns with a national news anchor as well.
It all started Tuesday, when CNN's Anderson Cooper went on a rant about Hollywood's most fame-hungry family while guest-hosting "Live With Regis & Kelly."
"Allegedly a 14-year-old girl, [she] looks to be about 60," Cooper said about Ali Lohan, recently photographed in New York sporting a full face of makeup and cleavage women 20 years her senior would envy. "I say that with concern and love. She allegedly wants to be a singer and or actor-slash-performer of some sort, striptease person, I don't know."
Dina Lohan, Ali's mom and reality TV partner in crime, shot back at the anchor via OK! magazine.
"People are just cruel!" she said. "This is bad karma for him."
But the Coop didn't back down. Tuesday night on his CNN show, "Anderson Cooper 360," he said Ali's mom and manager probably didn't see his comments live "because she was out clubbing," and went on to wax poetic about how bad he feels for the 14-year-old wannabe star.
Thursday, the Lohan patriarch jumped in the ring.
"I think Anderson Cooper is an opinionated, hypocritical idiot who should be an adult and keep his opinion to himself," Michael Lohan, Dina's ex-husband and father to Lindsay, Ali, and 19-year-old Michael Jr., told "Access Hollywood." "He is the last person to judge anyone, when he and his own family have their own issues."
Representatives for Dina did not immediately return ABCNews.com's requests for comment. But if Cooper continues his criticism, it's doubtful all will remain quiet on the Lohan front for long.

The Lohans, even though they are a posterboard for bad parenting, are right about Anderson Cooper, his family has had major problems going back many years. The point is that every family has problems, bad kids, bad parents, etc. No one is immune. The only difference is that most of our laundry isn't aired.

I'm sure Anderson Cooper isn't a saint, but please, the Lohans are just ... there are actually not enough bad words in the dictionary to describe them.

While I do agree with Anderson, I think this will give the Lohan's exactly what they want, and that's more media attention. I believe he made his point, and should now take the higher road and step away from the mess that is this family!!!

Way to go Anderson! You are right on! The Lohan Family IS a trainwreck....and I can't believe people are actually supporting Mom Dina's actions. She is selling her children like prostitutes so she can live off their names. Give me a break. Take them off TV. And, thank God Anderson Cooper continues to have honesty and integrity in the media--he's about the only one left!

Why would a 'proper' reporter like Anderson Snoozer care about the non-career of the younger sister of a fallen celebrity? Look up his family history. He's the LAST person to be saying stuff like this.

Mr. Cooper's family isn't the messed up train wreck the Lohan's are. His brother suffered from depression, a clinical illness; the Lohans suffer from a sick need to pimp out their children to the highest bidder and when that doesn't work they start slingin' the muck at each other for attention. It's too bad someone once pointed a camera at any of them to feed this beast. Mr. Cooper is a smart, polished, experienced newsman who's calling it like he sees it.

Anderson is a jerk. Everyone has there own thing. The Lohans are not hurting anyone. Everyone needs to stop talking crap. Do you know how many stage moms there are that are doing much worst things?
