Wow. That's more rock than I can take. Seriously - I'm totally rocked-out, here.

I will always start bobbing my head when I hear the beginning of "La Grange" .... Nothing of the sort with this iTunes list. I would also submit that iTunes is sorely lacking in different rock genres and this list only yields what they offer.

That's just sad on so many different levels.

I'm going off the rails on a crazy train?

I was going to try and be nice but renee nailed it, they all totally suck!.
it's really a shame that the standards concerning what's good in music is so low these days,no air?, lollipop? , you have got to be kidding me.

Rock?? Really?? Where?? Coldplay?? Please. Guess they'd think Three Days Grace is metal too. Pop is Lil Wayne and Flo Rida?? What the ..... ???
I long for the days when the "pop" charts were ruled by Bob Seger, The Eagles, Toto, Foreigner .... you know, musicians that actually played musical instruments.

Nothing has changed. Remember, Led Zep never won a grammy.

I don't see any rock on that list.
It's all bubble gum, clone music, and I use the term music loosly here.

Coldplay...pfft! They make Weezer sound like Motorhead.
I think it's the skinny jeans.

WOW!!! This is gigantic news, ABC!!! Who gives a flying ####! What a waste of time and space! Come on ABC, stick to real news, if you still know what that is!

Lil Wayne is the worst thing man ever created. This coming from a hip-hop fan. At least everyone else on the list plays an instrument or sings (whether they do it well is another story)

Agree, this is not list of artist that make rock songs or songs that even rock. Change the title of the article to "top selling commercially made pop songs of 2008 that sound like all the previous 15 years top selling songs" Real rock is raw and not programmed. How about this for a investigative news article: Are there any real modern rock bands? (Queens of the Stone Age, Raconteurs, ???) I think an era has come and gone...

Actually for me it was a Black Sabbath again this year. Hard to believe Ronnie James Dio started putting out albums in the 50s. When a band is still selling out stadiums as they approach 70, you know they are timeless.

I'll take my Sabbath, Zeppelin, Jane's Addiction, and Slayer any day...and Dio is the man...
Posted by: Jazz | Dec 4, 2008 9:56:24 AM
...and Weezer...gotta have some gimme gimme...

I'm sick of people saying 'stick to real news'. Err, this story is in the Entertainment News section. Are you saying this section should only contain any news if Chris Martin shot Leona Lewis?? If you don't like it, stay out of the section; and for goodness' sake, don't waste your precious time posting a comment!

I don't even know these groups! Any other baby boomers out there?? Remember the TV show Peyton Place? Great post here about it:
