‘Kill Bill’ Actor Found Dead After Apparent Suicide

June 04, 2009 10:30 AM

“Kill Bill” actor David Carradine was found dead in Thailand today.

According to local newspaper The Nation, the actor’s body was found hung in his Bangkok hotel room closet. Police believe he committed suicide, but his manager, Chuck Binder, told KABC he died of natural causes.

Carradine, 72, played Caine on the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu.” More recently, he played the character Bill in Quentin Tarantino’s two "Kill Bill" movies.

Carradine’s reported hanging comes on the heels of “Spider-Man 3” actress Lucy Gordon’s suicide. The 28-year-old British starlet hung herself in her Paris apartment in May.

He died of natural causes while hanging in the closet?

This is a sad day indeed, David will be sorely missed. I always enjoyed his portrayal of the characters he played and wasn't afraid to make fun of those parts. He was very talented and had a great sense of humor. It is hard to say good-bye to the "Grasshopper"

Oh, how very sad. I can remembering watching Kung Fu as a child. His character and acting really got people thinking about Eastern cultures. I recently watch his old show on DVD and was surprised how well it stood up over time.

I really hate to hear this. I have always been a big fan of David's. I just loved his character in 'Kill Bill' my sympathy to the family. I only pray it wasn't suicide and hope he died of natural causes.

RIP Mr. Carradine

How very sad and tragic. David was always one of my favorite actors. I had a crush on him for years. God bless him and Keith and the family. RIP David! You will be missed!

Very sad. Loved watching Kung Fu as a kid in the 70's. Very fund memories of those days. Rest in peace David

Rest in peace, David. And give your dad a big hug for me, a big fan of you both.

Adios David. You chose your path. Hopefully you are at peace now.

I too will miss David. One lucky enough to work with the incomparable Bruce Lee and his Jut Keen Do, I believe that was the name! I hate too bring up the obvious and I mean no disrespect to the great actor, but how can he be found Hung and his mgr. claim he died of natural causes?! At any rate, Rest in Peace!

Carradine is the family curse?!
I think that watching this movie, you will be able to understand why it happened.
