'X Factor's' Danyl Johnson: The Next Susan Boyle?

Susan Boyle move over, there’s a new hit in town. 

Danyl Johnson, a school teacher in the U.K., chose the Beatles hit “With a Little Help From My Friends” as his audition song but he didn’t need help from anyone to belt out that tune.  The 28-year-old’s rendition was effortless and lauded by none other than “X Factor” judge Simon Cowell, who described Johnson’s attempt as ‘’single handedly the best first audition I’ve ever heard.’’  

Coming from Cowell, that’s a huge compliment – he’s notoriously harsh to contestants on both “The X Factor” and “American Idol,” the ultra-popular reality competition he judges in the U.S.  

Since Johnson performed the song over the weekend, it’s generated one million hits and counting on YouTube. This season of “The X Factor” is still in the auditions stage but Johnson has been pegged as one of the favorites to win the competition. Even if he doesn’t, he’s sure to grow into an international sensation.

really?! everyone is to blind to see this is a publicity stunt. everybody sees that "The Almighty Simon Cowell" said something good about somebody. and now there going to start watching the show because of it. the guy was not very good.

No comparison to Susan Boyle. It may be in whatever a person likes, but this kid is AWFUL, in my opinion.

You look at the Sister Act and Angel auditions also on x factor you tube -- you learn a lot. The audience was quiet and polite.

Simon said: "single handedly the best first audition I’ve ever heard." So let's keep it at that level, the guy needs more time to prove he's what it seems. People is the one who's making this bigger than what it is, not Simon or the singing teacher.

Susan was and is still humble.She does not think she is brilliant or wonderfull,and is still surprise by her success.

Danyl Johnson is nothing but a slimy ponce,as ugly as sin,fancies himself and thinks he is the next best thing since sliced bread.I DO NOT THINK SO–THE SOONER YOU ARE VOTED OFF THE BETTER,if it was a toss up with the twins or him,i would gladly vote for the twins.To say i hate him is a understatement,i do not usually dislike somebody so much on first,viewing,but him……GET LOST DANYL,AND HOPE YOU LOSE.
