Gangstas in Iraq

May 02, 2006 12:01 PM

In a well-documented report, the Chicago Sun-Times today describes evidence of increasing gang activity in the US Army, including fascinating still photos of Chicago and Los Angeles gang graffiti in Iraq.

"Of paramount concern,"  the Sun-Times writes, "is whether gang-affiliated soldiers' training will make them deadly urban warriors when they return to civilian life and if some are using their access to military equipment to supply gangs at home."

From the start of this Bush travesty, I've worried about what the soldiers will do when they return home. My thoughts were that without their previous jobs and with a stock of new urban warfare training they would go into Homeland security or something of that ilk. Now this gang issue brings a new wrinkle...

Yikes Thanks Mr.Bush, Dick, and the rest of your gang.
