Hawaiian Hideaway?
May 17, 2006 10:16 AM
Sources close to the widening probe of official corruption in Washington tell ABC News that investigators are studying travel records of expensive trips to Hawaii and Europe taken by top CIA official Dusty Foggo and San Diego defense contractor Brent Wilkes.
Prosecutors want to know who paid for the lavish trips to European castles and top end Hawaiian resorts, including this $7,000 a night Honolulu beachfront mansion, owned at one time by hair stylist super-star Paul Mitchell.
Wilkes, a close personal friend of Foggo is suspected of paying bribes to Congressman Duke Cunningham, who recently pled guilty in the corruption investigation.

I think Foggo and his Republican cronies deserve to vacation at the taxpayers expense. He works very hard making certain that stolen and laundered Pentagon funds are distributed to Republican politicians in a manner that best secures the future of the GOP. Brent Wilkes, his co-conspirator, is a great Bush Pioneer and Foggo is partly responsible for his generosity.
Can you say "Traitor"???

Thanks for the opportunity to view the estate which is very beautiful. This location might be considered an excellent, private, meeting and business retreat location for Heads-Of-State to use. This site's rental fees might even rate low if compared to flight costs associated for groups of participants traveling to the far east area. Perhaps this is the half way point where everyone could meet confortably for their session(s). If visits and business rentals (discounted) are limited, and cost comparisons done, would this site still be considered too lavish?

I just read that the scum bags in congress are still going hot & heavy with their evil "ear marks". HAVE THEY NO SHAME, NO MORALS??? Now we find even the CIA is rife with corruption. I cannot believe this is America...IS THERE ONE SINGLE HONEST PERSON AMONGST OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS? Mr. Foggo,ROT IN HELL along with the rest of the thieving DEMONS of Washington!

Hey, when you can create money out of nothing (legal counterfeiting courtesy of the Federal Reserve System) instead of actually creating a product or a service that must be exchanged in a voluntary market transaction with another party, you're gonna have these bureaucraps doing fun things at our expense....it's called government.

Quesiton,
You are joking aren't you? Heads of State? Dusty and Duke aren't heads of state. The number 3 man at the CIA and a corrupt Representative? What kind of business?
Good grief! I'll bet this is the tip of the iceberg. There are no more excuses for refusing to see the truth. Politics and fun were more important than the true security of the American people. Spying on us while they were off partying under the radar.
Nice government we have.

Does this place contain a torture room as well? Sheesh, they should at least congeal their operations to save us tax payers money...(just kidding).

CIA officials are government workers, not heads of state. Is there anything that can be done during this time in our govenment that people won't make an excuse for?

Guys are getting killed or maimed for life in Iraq and the corruption just escalates in DC. Throw the bums out! All of them. This is happening on their watch and they ought to be held accountable.

How long before travel expense records for government officials are classified to "preserve national security"?

Most of us are having a hard time just filling up are gas tanks and paying high taxes, I wonder why? Well $7,000 a night for over paid bums in probaly one of the reasons!

Just another nail in the box. I'm proud of being an American and for what it stands for, but have lost respect for those we have voted for. It seems no mater what political parties are in charge, instead of public servants, we get self-serving politicians inundated with rich lobbyist. Our voices have become a squeak, while those in office have become bad roar. They can't or will not do their jobs and or follow the laws of the land because the word ‘public servant’ is beneath them. During the 90’s we had opportunities to get things started right, (fuel standards, Bin-laden, out-sourcing, border, etc.) instead, we let terror rule and big businesses rule. Like out-sourcing under an oppressive gov. like China and then in-slave their people to work in poor or unsafe environments. Today, I go out of my way to find basic American made products that I know was not made under those circumstances. Most, no foresight or planning for the public or nation’s future under today’s American leaders, just the needs for today and for big business under the banner of 'global economy’. If this nation is to live on and fight the wrongs like terror, we need to set good examples and provide positive alternatives. Like those who blindly follow those who need to kill just to kill. Simply, here and abroad, we need good leadership, not kingship.

The Hawaii location is in fact still part of the Paul Mitchell Estate. It is not in Honolulu - but rather in a small neighborhood on the Windward side of the Island. There are many options for lodging in the islands, including private homes, that are quite nice and cost about a tenth of what it costs to rent the Mitchell estate. It's all just greed and part of the entitlement attitude that these "Civil Servants" have.

Dennis Spain...you nailed it. The era of the petro-dollar is coming to an end, so too is the era in which average americans could afford to buy gas. THe elites are busy grabbing as much as they can while the grabbing is good too solidify their position in the oligarchy. A new feudalism? See you in the streets

These people are as low as any in the history of the country. They have profited from the war and used the blood and treasure of the country as if it were their own piggy bank. We will be finding in the coming weeks and months that the Department of Homeland Security has let no-bid contracts out the spying on Americans to select private contractors. Leaving the regular agencies of the government as the consumers of this information but not the gatherers. These contractors use the phone records from AT&T and others and flesh them out with addresses, voting records, political contributions, writings, driving, travel, buying, financial, health, reading habits, hobbies and known threats to the party in power. These same contractors are the ones who have been feeding the Republican party with massive campaign contributions. This will be the first time in history where a dictatorship will be imposed by para-governmental private contractors.

Excellent leaks, DoJ and FBI! Textbook stuff on how to fill potential jurors' heads with pre-conceptions and get some good press for yourself. CIA may be an old, toothless tiger, but DoJ and FBI still know how to play the game.
Better not try this stuff out on Congress, though, or you may find your budget cut. Any plans to alert the media when you raid Cong. Lewis' and Hunter's homes? For that matter, why no press in helicopters when former Cong. Cunningham's home was raided?
I guess when you're going after people who control billions and who can bite back, you've got to play with kid gloves. It's OK, we understand.
