FBI Informant Provided al Qaeda Oath to Miami 7
June 23, 2006 9:48 AM
An FBI informant posed as an emissary from al Qaeda and administered oaths of allegiance to the seven Miami men charged today with providing material support to al Qaeda.
An outline of the indictments to be announced later today indicates the men began meeting with an unnamed FBI informant in November 2005. Justice Department officials say the informant provided boots and a video camera so the men could obtain surveillance pictures of government buildings in Miami.
The apparent leader of the group is identified as Narseal Batiste, also known as Brother Naz and Prince Manna.
Officials say Batiste discussed the idea of destroying the Sears Tower in Chicago during a Dec. 22, 2005, meeting with the FBI informant in a hotel room.
Officials say Batiste later told the informant, "He wanted to wage a full ground war against the Untied States" in order "to kill all the devils we can" in a mission that would "be just as good or greater than 9/11" beginning with the destruction of the Sears Tower.
Other defendants named in the 11-page, four-count indictment include:
Patrick Abraham, aka Brother Pat
Stanley Grant Phanor, aka Brother Sunni
Naudimar Herrera, aka Brother Naudy
Burson Augustin, aka Brother B
Lygelenson Lemorin, aka Brother Levi
Rothschild Augustine, aka Brother Rot
Officials say the men also wanted $50,000 in cash but that no weapons were ever provided to the men.

Rove is back.
Key detail in the "homegrown terrorists" in Miami:
"The indictment offered no indication that the suspects were actually in contact with any al Qaeda members or that possible targets in Chicago, Illinois, or Miami, Florida, faced any imminent threat."
Anyone remember Jose Padillaand the Ashcroft press conference from Moscow?
And how about the entrapped Pakistani Shahawar Matin Siraj, convicted for the “New York Subway Bomb Plot”?
I expect we’ll be treated to weekly “arrests” of “terrorists” through November, “terrorists” that will be sitting in a jail cell untried forever, just like Padilla.

devils huh? why dont you cowards stop bein so cowardly and come fight us face to face rather than do sneak attacks on innocent people?

JUST GET BUSH!!!

Yes, politicize it all again even though it isn't politics. These are the losers we should be afraid of, no direction, no goal in life that idolize the death and destruction caused by 9-11 and seek to be famous in their own way. It is a reminder of what we are fighting and why we are figthing, these people aren't looking to kill Bush or the Repulicans or the Democrats, wake up and realize that they want to kill you no matter what you believe, at home, on the street, going to work or at work, you are a worthless life and a traget to them and until you understand that there is no reasoning with them or changing their mind the obvious thing to do is go get them before they get you.

Entrapment? I think not. They made the choice to swear allegiance to those cowards. Throw the book at them. Just the threat alone should be enough to put them away for a very long time. Just get Bush? Atleast Bush isn't is 'Flopping' around with some Fluezy like Mr Clinton was while these people were planning these major attacks.

Hmmm... If this was a bust of a gang of alleged child molesters with a similarly evil plan, the comments would be to the effect of "Excellent! Get these creeps off the streets!" even if there was 'no evidence' they were actually involved in molesting children. You'd think that, regardless of personal politics, arresting men who are _even_considering_ such a plot would be hailed as a Good Thing. Instead we get "JUST GET BUSH" and 'remember Padilla'.

Anytime you have a group of people gathering info and discussing harm to a building or place within the US borders, we need our law enforcement agencies to take this serious. I don't agree with harming anyone, but on the other hand I don't want our citizens harmed either.

too bad there wasnt an election in the fall of 2001 because using ur logic we wud have arrested the 9/11 hijackers ahead of time. I think oliver stone has a movie script he wants you to read.

The information gathered indicates that these men did not have the weapons to do the damage (ie bombs) and that it was merely talk. There is a great deal of entrapment going on to fight "terrorism" just as in the drug war. You have undercover agents going up to people that never thought about selling drugs or committing terrorist activities in their life and then the agent starts polluting the person(s) mind with garbage. Then after they have made a once good citizen into a monster - they ring the bell and say "hey, we caught ourselves a bad guy" . . instead they should be saying "hey we just made ourselves a bad guy".

i think that bush should be put in this building and let him rot in heal like the rest of his family to feel what we suffer in the sept 11 attacts.

Ultimately these people will be found not guilty once the liberal news media blames the administration for using this as a political smoke screen. The media will downplay the seriousness of the plot and run their usual poll and inject public sympathy. Once more with feeling......anti-Bush

They sound like the gang that couldn't shoot straight. Ultimately all but the ringleader will be released because they had no weapons and didn't get out the gate.

Wow. an FBI informant infiltrates a group of kids and suddenly they want to blow up buildings. It's amazing how we are at the point of openly admitting that the government actively takes part in creating the terrorists.

Oh my gosh! They obtained a CAMERA and some BOOTS, and they even wanted $50,000!
Newsflash: these "homegrown ists" are not even muslim, but are members of the Seas of David, which number no more than 50 adherents, and is a quasi-Christian group, with elements of Caribbean animism. It has been linked to the Chicago-based Moorish Society Temple of America, a group that combines Islam with the teachings of Jesus.
The government is going to new lows just to show us how much danger we are in from ists, and the media is lapping it up without even so much as an attempt to confirm the facts.
These guys most certainly were not Al Quaeda ists, and it appears that the FBI informant was likely trying hard to pin some evidence on them, even if he had to manufacture it himself; after all HE'S THE ONE WHO ADMINISTERED THE OATH.

Basically what we have is, seven men who gathered together in a group ( doesn't matter what type of affiliation with whatever type of sect or organization ) who talked of killing innocent people and destroying buildings. In England those who are practicing that type of behavior are put in jail or deported. America should do the same with the seven men.

Well even though President Clinton was "flopping" around with some "fluezy" he knew all about the terrorist and there actually have been several reports and documented instances where he was trying to do something, but then the elections happened and President Bush came into power and just seemingly forgot all about our national security. Don't you remeber? He was to busy stealing the White House from Gore to pay any attention to what all of the advisors were trying to tell the incumbant president?
Posted by: Morgen | Jun 27, 2006 10:14:06 AM
Right, like Gore would have done anything...I picture him sitting in ther corner and sucking his thumb like a child. The fact of the matter is that IF there was going to be a 'homegrown' attack that could have killed thousands of people and been 9/11 all over again, it was prevented. I feel more confident and secure with stopping the IF factor, then waiting around for actually to happen.

All you Bush, big government supporters -- just wait until the day the spooks make YOU a terrorist. Wait until YOUR civil liberties are taken away. Wait until the day the new legal government phone-tapping program overhears YOU talking about a policy of the new president that you don't like and they come for YOU. Then it'll be too late.

Basically it comes down to this. This entire war was and continue to be all about money. Everyone knows Bush was mad because his poppa couldnt caught saddam, so he plotted his on way to get him ( and to get filthy rich in the process. Isn't his family in the OIL business. every since he got into office the U.S has be going downward very fast. First 9/11. then comes this multi million dollars a day war. ( that was suppose to be aimed at afgan, ( so how did we end up in iraq chasing saddam, but still haven.t found osama) and now the entire country is in a recession. but the kbr and haliburton ( which is ran and owned by head government officials, and profits millions a day from this war) wants the american people to believe there is a huge threat and almost everyone is a terrorist. Why not? as long as we think we are in trouble... we will continue to folk over our lives and our families for this war that isnt profiting americans at all.
