Al Qaeda Website Posts Bush Alert
June 13, 2006 11:51 AM
A jihadist website, the same one which confirmed the death of Zarqawi, has posted an urgent alert that President Bush is in Iraq.
"The cursed Bush is in Iraq," the website says in Arabic. "By God's will, he will fall into the trap of the mujaheddin," the site says.
Several postings in response to the initial one on the website include:
"May a tank shell cut him in two halves. May the sky rain rockets to rid the whole world from the crimes of this pig."
"God ... make his end today by the hands of the lions of al Qaeda."
"God ... show us his killing today and make us celebrate his death the same way they celebrated the killing of Zarqawi."

The US President is not in any danger. Those that threaten him in the web are jubilant because US is giving them back their country. The war is over. The new strawmen are much better entrenched, so the Iragi army has surrendered. One Jay Treaty Indian's opinion............... ..

Gee, you think they want to kill him?

What President Bush needs is due process.
If he gets due process, he'll be impeached, charged with treason and convicted and put in prison.

The USA will take any harm to our President as a direct and continuing threat to all of us. It would surely unify our citizens behind the battle to stop terrorists from trying to conquer the world.

They are amazing. I personally am not happy with the job our President has done. I do not agree with this war, but support our troops 100%. Yes, I can see that Al Queda is on the run, threatening our President. Please let Al Queda know that americans will defend our president and our land with our lives!

So, is that Ross leaking the location to the jihadis?
Posted by: mbruce | Jun 13, 2006 1:11:06 PM
That can't be. Don't those silly jihadists know they just committed a felony? Now they've really gone too far! It's one thing to kill innocent people and rob people of basic human rights, but to call for the death of our president is simply unacceptable. I'm going to write to my congressman and hopefully he will deliver a severe tongue-lashing to whoever is involved. Then maybe they'll think twice about making such a heinous threat.

GOD NO!!!....IF BUSH IS HARMED THEN CHENEY WILL BE PRESIDENT...GOD HELP US ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE , EVEN THOSE LIKE ME WHO CAN NOT STAND BUSH, HAS TO PRAY THAT NO HARM COMES TO HIM...LAWD HAVE MERCY. JUST THE THOUGHT OF A MADMAN LIKE CHENEY AS PRESIDENT...

Mr. Bush, you will never be able to finish what you and your father started. As a gulf war veteran, I cannot believe we are still trying to turn a country based on religion into a democracy. How many more will die for this unjust cause ?

While I agree that volence breeds violence, I also agree that sincere attempts to end it are commendable. Let no one threaten this process or the individuals activly involved in implementing lt. Sadat, Rabine, Lincoln and many others have given their lives in this cause. Whatever the differences, they attempted to resolve and put an end to the cycle of violence. Let us follow their example and at the same time support the efforts of those valiant persons in harm's way to achieve it.

Why does Bush need impeached? Is it because the democrats want Al-Qaeda to kill us all? They sure as hell act like it! Thats why I do not want one in office!
Posted by: Michael | Jun 13, 2006 2:21:09 PM
Dear Lorriane,
Our President is a power hungry fool. How can you not see it?! Every move he makes, he attemps to extend his power beyond his blessfully short four-year term as President. The war is merely a screen for which to attempt to solidify his base. Fortunately, 67% of Americans no longer approve of his actions. It is time for us to finally rise as one an break the Conservative stranggle hold on the government. We must do so, for to fail to do so will give them unending control of the minds of Americans. For example, abortion. Its fine if you believe that it is wrongful, but don't attempt to use your 'morals' to overpower the rights of others. As I've said, its finally time to overtrhow President Bush, before his Presidency turns into a Tyranny.

Al Qaeda is posturing again? Go figure. I wonder if Rove has calculated an "assassination sympathy" scenario for winning the mid-terms.
Posted by: Trystann | Jun 13, 2006 2:27:04 PM
I believe Bush is the worst president in American history, still I would die to protect him because he is my president! Our worst president is still better then the best leader the terrorists have ever had! I relish the day Bush reads about his rightful place in history about 5 years from now, and I dread that anyone would make him a hero by harming him before he lives to see the fruits of his ineptness. As a decades long Republican I am more then ashaimed of Bush.

I support Bush. He is a great man and one of the best presidents of our time. He is a study and faithful leader and a fine Christian man. I for one would be honored for him to eat with me at my table. But I wouldn't feel at all comfortable to eat with many of these bitter, hateful bloggers who so freely speak against dignitaries.

Posted by: joyce | Jun 13, 2006 3:26:47 PM
Remember when the towers were hit? Everone vowed revenge everyone said lets get the bastards. Mr. President went and planned it all out, which takes time and when you think about it, it's a pretty damn complex thing to do. He listened to us when we said we wanted war. Then our president got on tv and told us that he was giving us our war that we demanded in september 2001. Our President told us that it would be a long slow process and it would take many years. so lets just let him do his job, and NOT expect the war to be over any time soon. Don't forget we still have soldiers in Germany left over from WW2. I'd expect the same with Iraq.
Posted by: Dan | Jun 13, 2006 3:30:18 PM
Our attack on Iraq against Islamic fundamentalism was a blow in the air. Time to pull back and punch again. Why can't Bush supporters realize that?
And why are they so willing to support the abject failure that is the Cheney/Bush team when it means the death of more and more of our finest people?
Posted by: Walterm140 | Jun 13, 2006 3:31:16 PM
If the Democrats should win back the White House, I'm sure that Al Qaeda will be trembling at the thought of all those U.N. non-binding resolutions hurled their way. That is, after all, the way the Dems "defend" our country. That, and accusing our troops of atrocities whenever possible.
But don't question their patriotism...
Posted by: JayI | Jun 13, 2006 3:31:35 PM
OK... I'm personally not a fan of Bush. However, I do believe that in his mind, he honestly has good intentions for the US as a whole. And he believes that trying to spread democracy to what he feels is a country that needs "freedom" will benefit the US in the long run. He comes off as more or less a Christian zealot. I'm surprised he hasn't tried to convert everyone to Christianity the way he's been trying to spread democracy in the middle east. Honestly, we just need better leaders, but I digress. People can critisize Bush all they want, but the fact remains that we the people elected him as president... again and he is honestly just doing what he believes is the right thing to do.
Posted by: blaze | Jun 13, 2006 3:32:12 PM
The terrorists are afraid of Bush, not the other way. They are not fighting like real "martyrs" but like cowards: killing innocent people, kidnapping, hiding and running like rats ... and now they are threatening our President. Threatening is a sign of weakness and desperation. In addition, if they believed that by decapitating defenseless people they would go to paradise, I can imagine a paradise where there are only murderers.
Posted by: LeT | Jun 13, 2006 3:34:05 PM
Honestly, do you really think Bush is in any Danger. I agree with many of you and I also disagree. I support our President just as I did Clinton and Bush and Reagan. I do not agree with everything Bush is doing, and I didn't with Clinton either, but that is what makes us such a great country! Our Differences. Why do we so often fight on our own soil about our differences of opionion isn't that what our fore fathers fought for??? I do not agree with the war in Iraq, but we also need to protect our country. What would you be saying if we did not have the war and allow the terrorist to come here and attack again. You would be yelling at Bush for that.

I dislike Bush as much as anyone else. I'm with everyone on this Board that is calling for impeachment. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, what in the world is he thinking, just "showing up" on Iraq's doorstep when so many things have happened that have placed a bounty on his head far more valuable to some than the one on Al-whatever's... I mean, give me a break. Going to Iraq, calling in your war advisors.. Its not gonna make me think you know what you are doing, or that you even care anything at all about the "people"... its the Money, the Oil, the 15 of face-time that he's after... Its becoming a reality TV show. "And next, on America Run by Bush..."

I don't agree with his war nor do I agree with his politics but I am a veteran and did my time under others that were sure there war was right too. I spent more than 20 years defending his and the others right to be wrong. Just remember the soldiers that are giving it up everyday to protect and defend your and my right to express our disagreement and discontent with the leaders of our great and FREE country.

I feel sorry for those of you that think our President is a fool. It is you that are fools. This President will be recognized as one of our greatest President in history. His term still has 2 1/2 years to go and many things can still happen in that short time that will turn his legacy. He never said that this "journey" in ridding the world of terrism would be easy or short. I don't see anything to the contrary in his statement. You negative thinkers need to turn all of that negative vibes to positive and make a difference in our society instead of bringing it down with your negative thinking. Linda

I think it is important to support our troops in defence of our nation. I think it is important to support our police in protecting our nation. I think it is important to support our leaders in preserving our nation. The key is recognizing what is our nation. The last time I checked, it was in North America and a few islands of the Pacific, not the Middle East.
We have enough problems at home to contend with, and our government needs to mind our own business. Who made us policeman of the world? I fully support using the military to protect our borders, and using our police forces to identify and stop terrorists from commiting acts of violence in our nation. I even support hunting terrorists like Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan since he has made war against us.
But I don't understand why we are invading and occupying Iraq. To bring them democracy? What right do we have to do that, even if it is good for them? It's like breaking into your neighbor's house, killing a couple of family members, and then imposing your idea of discipline on their children because you don't like the way they raise their family. And then we are surprised when some people want to kill us?
Maybe we should get our own house in order. If we really were an example to the world of peacefulness and prosperity, we might do more to spread freedom and goodwill in the world. No one likes to be coerced at gunpoint.

I don't understand how the ramblings of Al-Qaeda can suddenly become a platform for Democrats crying "foul" on the President for his Pro-Life views. Aren't we mixing up issues here???
And calling for him to be overthrown like a third world dictatorship...?
Ummm...people...get a grip!
I am not a fan of President Bush. I didn't vote for him. And I don't agree with a whole heck of a lot that he believes in...but he is the President of the United States. He is our Commander in Chief...and like him or not, we as Americans, are responsible for supporting our government, supporting our troops, and defending the Constitution of these United States. If we dislike the President...Do what I'm going to do...vote for anyone but a Republican. But don't offer up treasonous comments like "overthrowing Bush!"
As for Al-Qaeda...the only ones that fear you are those that aren't smart enough to know your weak. We know. We see it in your empty threats and unholy pleas for murder. That you should all die and burn in hell...that is your fate.

I despise this president. He and his cronies wouldn't know the truth if it came up and slapped them in the face. Stanley Bell..wake up! Anyone can claim to be whatever it takes to get the Christian vote. If Bush were as much a Christian as he claims, he wouldn't be harming the middle class, poor, senior citizens, education for my 8 grandchildren, the environment and so on and so on. The list is growing daily. As far as I am concerned, the matter of abortion is between the woman and God. It should not be legislated. I am a Christian and I do believe in Judgment Day. That's when we will all have to answer for what we have done unless we ask God's forgiveness. He has no memory of the past if we do this. Bernie, I commend you for fighting for our country and do support the military and veterans. It's the Republican policies that stink. Truth Seeker, it already is tyranny. Stanley Bell, Bush thinks he is above the law and can do whatever he wants, just like Saddam. I wish I could wipe that smirk off his face. He's never without it. And what's with that walk of his? Looks like he thinks he's carrying around the bulk of Mr. Atlas. Wake up, Stan, you are SO SNOWED. Matt Walters, thinking about changing parties? Now would be the time to do it, before the mid-term elections. Walterm140, you are so right. Bush should be convicted of treason and imprisoned. Brett, I can't imagine anything more frightening than Cheney as president. He can't even go out hunting with a friend and be trusted!!! We need a change of administration folks. Vote the mid-terms and let's find a strong candidate for 2008!!!

PLease God protect Bush. What will this country do if the vice president moves up to president?
Posted by: Pink Lady | Jun 13, 2006 5:58:49 PM
There are those that threaten and those that 'do'. Those that threaten reveal their impotence and frustration in their inability to act.
To me, it's a very good sign. And I'm sure that the administration isn't losing sleep over it. Probably more like, 'sheesh, what took you so long?" LMAO!
As to Bush? Like him or hate him, love him or despise him...he's our President. He started a job that he has to finish, and that is bringing a democratic government to Iraq. He pulls this off, a place of democracy in the Middle East, he'll have pulled off a political coupe that could literally change the face of world politics in a significant way.
It's debatable as to whether or not we should have started the process or whether the cost to our country was worth it. BUT there really is no real debate over the fact that we have to finish what was started.
As to the doomsayers? yaddayaddayadda. Bush isn't Hitler, Cheney isn't the anti-Christ. If you didn't have Iraq, you'd have somethign else that you'd want to impeach him over. It's obvious payback over the Clinton debacle.
I never liked Clinton's behavior, but I didn't run around like Chicken Little saying that it was the end of life as we know it or that he was evil. @@ It's the hyperbole that makes you not worth listening to. If you want Congress back and a Dem in the Oval Office, you've got to come up with some SANE rhetoric. You've all said this crazy stuff for so long, it's really meaningless to moderates; and I'm a bit embarrassed on your behalf.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
We as human beings had to stop Sadam...not only because of the threat he posed to the world...but also to his own people. The killing of tens of thousands of innocents at the hands of the deposed Iragi leader required us to take action. Either we act...or we wait and watch like we did at the beginning of WWII and while we did....millions were killed.
We did the right thing...sometimes...the right thing is harder to do than to do nothing. Which is a worse crime? To act...or to fail to act?

No-one is perfect. Certainly not any of you and certainly not Bush.BUT apparently many of you do not follow history. Remember when Chamberlain gave in to Hitler and what happened? Hitler and Al-Quada are the same - they want to force their ideologies on the rest of us. As far as soldiers hurt and dead? When you join the military (unless you are completely stupid - I was in during Nam but no I did not get there)you know you have a chance of seeing action and being hurt or killed. It is a job and you need to put it in perspective, for example:
U.S. Drivers(trucker and sales) deaths in 2004 = 1,374
farmers in 2005 = 305
Want more U.S. death statistics?
cigarettes (2000) 435,000
poor diet and exercise (2000)400,000
Alcohol (2000) 85,000
and on and on...Does this mean our soldiers are less important, no. But their deaths and injuries pale with every day life by every day people who are also just doing a job as put forward by their boss. You don't need to be president to send someone to their death. You could be a Dominoes manager or a trucking supervisor or a zillion others in between.

Remember after 9/11 when President Bush said this would be a long war against terrorism. Remember that Saddam did kill thousands of his own people and Iranians with poison gas. Remember that Saddam did have large quantities of chemical weapons that were found by inspectors after the first gulf war. Remember that the man with a backbone will continue to do what he thinks is right in the face of adversity. Those who say President Bush doesn't think for himself aren't looking at the facts. You still may not agree with what he thinks and that is your right. I have personally talked to many who have come back from duty in Iraq and they tell an optimistic story about the people there that truly want the freedoms we are trying to nurture. If one gets their information from the TV, then I recommend they get into the arena and think for themselves and become part of the solution. If I am not mistaken, a couple other presidents had pretty low approval ratings during their tenure also (Lincoln, polls not conducted but faced massive opposition when he suspended habeus corpus and when the civil war was going badly for the north, Truman, to name a couple). History will tell the final outcome other than to say, had nothing been done in Iraq and Saddam had reconstituted his weapons programs and used them against anyone, the question would be, "why didn't President Bush do anything when he had the chance?"

That Internet communique from the terrorists has me confused. Yesterday they were positively ecstatic that Al zarqawi was a martyr. Now they're braying for Bush's life. They need to go back to their von Clauswitz and brush up on the 9 principles of war.

Al Qaeda must have a death wish. If they even get close to our President their wish will be fulfilled.
Bush has been the least power mad President in my lifetime. When he took office he could have removed democratic appointees, but he did not. When attacked unfairly by liberals he could have used the bullypulpit to retort. He did not. When blame was placed on his shoulders he could have blamed someone else. He has not.
Al Qaeda is losing this war, and I never expected to see terrorism take such a heavy hit in so short a time. For this Bush will always be remembered.

Bush won an election with a historically high turnout. He is our President. A Presidential election is as close as we will ever get to a national referedum of important issues of the day. The most important issue during this last campaign was the War On Terror and its current front in Iraq. The American people understand what is at stake, they understand what is needed to protect this country and they did not trust Kerry and the Democrat Party to run the show. Bush won despite George Soros' money, MoveOn.org's well oiled grass roots effort, Michael Moore's movie, fake voter registration by Democrats in Ohio, and the willing accomplices at the NYT, the LA Times, NBC, CBS (Rather, Mary Mapes and false documents), ABC and CNN.
The ranting and raving here will garner you no more votes that what you got in 2004. The Democrats did their best, took their best shot, spent a load of money and LOST!

The President has always and will always have my support, no matter who he may be. I may disagree with some of his policies from time to time, but I know he has the security of the country in mind when he acts as he does to protect us. In the last election I saw the need for this and his leadership against terror as more important than any stand he took on gay rights. This gay man supports our president, and as with Lincoln, Bush may be unpopular now but History will remember the bold action and beginning of change that he brought to the world. My fellow gay/lesbian friends may disagree with me and this is within their right--we all choose what our ultimate factor will be in casting our vote. Without the security of our country I would have no rights, gay or not, and I am certainly not willing to gamble the security of our country on John Kerry and the like. God bless President Bush. I fear for our future, as the leadership on both sides of the aisle looks bleak. May someone else rise to the challenge in 2008.

The insurgents will lose in the end. They represent a minority of Iraqis and Al Quaeda is losing popularity there.
The whines and threats of those slowly on the way out. So be it.

This is to all the whiners that are against the war in Iraq and the war on terror. Maybe we should just give up and not do anything! Let Iran get nuclear weapons, let terrorists keep attacking western countries until it is a daily occurrence!! Then all the whiners will be complaining that we are not safe from terrorists! Which is it? At least Bush has the guts to be unpopular to keep this country safe. Alot more than I can say for a lot of other worthless american citizens.

It was a pre-emptive war for our self defense (remember aluminum tubes, mobile weapons labs, uranium purchases in Niger), all a pile of fertilizer. When those justifications were proven false, it then became a war of liberation, a war against terrorism, and a war to spread democracy. Sure, Saddam was a brutal dictator, just like many in Africa, South America, and Asia, but those nations don't have any oil. They are likely safe. Dick Cheney's company, Halliburton, is making billions with it's 5 year no bid contract. George Bush is willing to justify his war any way he can. There were no terrorists in Iraq until AFTER the invasion. The reason we are there instead of Africa, where thousands are currently being killed TODAY, or the domain of any other oppressive dictatorship, is the elephant in the room no administration official could mention in the run-up to the war- oil. Iraqi oil fields, the third largest in the world, in the hands of a pro-west government will be a real boone to the American oil companies (see record profits). Finally, if you are unhappy with the policies of George Bush, as am I, for the sake of our nation (and apparently for the safety of the rest of the world), VOTE!!

I am an Iranian and I think people in Middeeast should be thankfull to USA to get rid of Sadam for them and I believe Mr Bush should stop by Iran to free Iranian people from these terorists to.
I am thankful to him for supporting democracy.
God bless Mr Bush

I don't agree with Bush on many of his policies, but I do agree that he should continue on defending this country. IF we just walk away, terrorists will see weakeness and attack! IF we stay, we have a greater chance of showing them how to live without a society of car bombings and suicide attacks!
As the leaders of the FREE world, and as Christians, we have the responsibility to protect others when in harm.
I'm not sure about allah, but I know JESUS didn't come with C4 explosives strapped to his waist!

I disagree with the slams against our president;we need to show a respect for our president even if he doesn't do everything exactly like we think he should. If we are divided, this country will never get anywhere!

The Cheney/Bush team has shown grotesque incompetence in regard to 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the Prescription Driug Plan, the so-called "War or Terror" and everything to which they have set their hand.
Saying that you support him just because he is president smacks of the type of veneration given to Hitler.
And Bush will not be remembered as much better, nor his string puller Cheney.
Their hands are covered in blood.

I'm with the guy who doesn't support but thinks you're a bunch of lunatics. The U.S. is not a third world dictatorship. I'm Canadian, and while I have no true vested interest in U.S. politics, Bush strongly loves his country, which is more than I can say for a lot of you. What you love is pluralism and tolerance. This is not democracy. Take it from me, I come from a country where we arrest terrorists and then people complain because they keep the light on in their cell. Grow up. At some point I'm drawing my last breath and leaving this planet for somewhere far better. But while I'm down here, I'd like to think people had retained at least a vestige of common sense.

Ahmad, I could so hug you right now, buddy.

Folks, please. Yes, Bush loves his country. He also loves his friends, and having money. If loving your country can bring more money to your friends and yourself, well so much the better. No we can't let a bunch of people with no hope, no oppurtunities, and no ability to think for themselves, rule the world through mayhem, murder, stupidity, and ignorance, but neither can we allow our own leaders (or ourselves) to use the same to subjagate ourselves, or anyone else. For pete's sake, worship who you want, just leave the butchering to the folks at Hormel. Tolerance is a good thing, contrary to the neo-conservative opinion. Truth is also a good thing, and something that both the left and the right are having a hard time with. Truth is not a steamed vegetable medley...you have to eat it all, or anything less becomes a lie. I think it is high time that the extremists from both sides get over their diaper/daddy/abuse/fill-in-the-blank issues and shut it for a change. The folks that form the middle and majority of this country, and don't bother to vote, need to get off of their collective behinds, use some common sense and make ourselves heard. We need to stop being sheep to these blatting goats.

Bush loves this country like a glutton loves his lunch.

President Bush inherited the problems he is trying to solve. At least he started the effort. I would rather us be fighting thousands of miles from my city and my house and my family, than having to pull guard duty in my front yard. They will not let me have an M-16 here either.
I read these comments and all I see are personal attacks or personal support for POTUS. This is not about GWB. Libs and some Dems need to get over their bitter hatred. It's not healthy for the individual or the country.
The issue, which most of you can't wrap your minds around is that the terrorists want to kill Americans. Period. They are the enemy. They are not your friends. I typed that reallllll slow for the most brainwashed of you.
Haters, make your peace with GWB and help him rid the terrorists of a place too grow. They are going to be around for a long time.
Support our troops, and their commander

The issue that you can't grasp is that Bush is "fighting" the terrorists ineptly.

I believe in Supporting our troops,
NOT THE ONES THAT MISLED THEM!!!!
Do those few that blindly support Bush, get paid to post all over the net? I think so.
Hey, we all believe in Supporting the troops! That's a given. So stop trying to make that an issue.
...and according to the polls, very few Americans support Bush. No law even suggests that it is ones duty to support a lame duck, a lame bush or a lame Dick.
GWB is not my commander and neither is the right wing .
If GWB supported our troops, he would not have sent them into a country under false pretenses .

Nag nag nag nag all you want. Presidents dont't come better than Bush. He's is out there getting rid of terrorists, not pampering voters. Typical politicians pamper voters. If Im American, I'd vote for him.

The President is indeed a powerful person but he is only one leg of the Government. If it is the will of the people to get out of Iraq then get the Congress to jointly call for the removal of the troops. Blaming Bush is not the answer it is a way to place blame without doing anything about it. Also, polls are only as good as the wording of the question. Change the wording and you can get a different answer for the same question. Think about that befor you toss poll numbers around.

I think you all need to set back and think what our country is based on it's freedom and I think everybody has the right to be free I know we didn't go to Iraq for that reason but those people are human too!!!! we as christian's , American's and humans should want to help them to be free as we are and that has nothing to do with our President Do you remember with Veitnam OUR CAUSE WAS JUST!!!!!!! I commend our President at least he didn't just sit on his hands and worry about what we think or go to the Oval Office and get serviced!!!!! but I guess that is the kind of President you want Hale to the Cheif

Bush better regard this as a wake-up call. The terrorists will stop at nothing to kill the man they hate the most. But I think the government would have already considered these risks so if Bush actually went into Iraq, he should be safe.
