New Bin Laden Audio Tape: Osama Speaks on the Death of Zarqawi
June 28, 2006 5:08 PM
A new Osama bin Laden audio is expected to be released within three days. On the tape, bin Laden will talk about the death of Abu Musab Zarqawi. More details to come.
The audio is about 5 minutes in length. This is the fourth time we have heard an audio message from bin Laden this year. The last time we heard from him was following the sentencing of Zacarias Moussaoui for the 9/11 attacks. Bin Laden claimed that he had not assigned Moussaoui to be a part of the attacks.
That tape came 19 days after the sentencing of Moussaoui and was considered a quick turnaround for one of his tapes, which are believed to pass through numerous couriers on their way to Al Jazeera network.
The news of Zarqawi's death came three weeks ago on June 8.

Iran and North Korea are worse threats to our future than Osama. they are also part of the war on terror. it doesnt end with a man dying. its a mindset that says "the free world will not be held for ransom by those who use terror as a means to an end." dont you understand that? it wont end and we cant ever give up. if we do, we loose.

If the NY Times was getting info from Bin Laden, do you think they'd tell the government where he was ?? Thats what I'd like to know.

Ah, the real enemy.

Q. Why can't we track down Osama when we can track down 7 terrorists in Miami?
A. The neighbors in Miami are willing to turn the terrorists in.
Oh, and aVoice's rant about the government not wanting to get Bin Laden and sacrifice "all that power"... wow, here is a conspiracy theorist of the first order. aVoice probably thinks we kept Zarqawi on ice until the most politically correct moment too...

If we caught Bin Laden today this war would not be over. This war is not about Bin Laden. Why can't liberals understand that? This is a war on TERROR, not one person. There is a network of terrorists we are fighting. I do not understand why the left thinks that finding Bin Laden would solve all of our problems.

What are we going to do about alJazeera? I can't help but think that without them the terrorists would be infinitely-fold less effective.

Well Philly, it's obvious to everyone except you that Bin Laden roams free because Karl Rove wants him to roam free because Rove still works for W's father and W's father flew the SR-71 over to Saudi and promised Cheney's Big Oil Buddies at Haliburton that Bin Laden would always be roaming free as long as they keep the price of oil high (or low) so as to produce more CO2 emissions so that the planet will super-heat up and drive the price of beach property SKY HIGH so that the Bush family will get filthy rich in Texas on the backs of the poor people like they totally succeeded in doing with those people they fleeced in New Orleans by giving them billions of dollars in hurricane relief money with which they were forced to buy sex, drugs and rock-n-roll with.
Funny, I can't make it any simpler for ya.

FBI has recently said on record that THERE ARE NO TIES LINKING OSAMA BIN LADEN TO 9/11. Check it out for yourselves this is a government scam! They need their ever elusive boogie man. How come most americans havent woken up to this yet?

please tell bin laden that i want to podcast his messages, therefore i agree with abandoning audio tapes and moving into the 21st century with mp3 audio. it would be nice to get automatic updates from bin laden from itunes. thank you.

Bin Laden will never be caught, it's not important to Bush and his oil tycoons. As long as he's hiding the longer we can suck oil from Iraq. But when he's caught if he's caught then we will have no excuse to be in Iraq.

bin ladens sitting in florida with a hair cut on the beach. the US doesnt want to find him. they make more money letting him run than captureing him.
wait till elections, another "event" will happen an start the war all over again

So...What's keeping YOU from getting OBL? Hmmmm?

Silly questions get silly answers. It just means the tape has already been delivered and viewed by Al Jazeera and they plan on releasing it in a few days. Think, people.
And saying, we should have gotten bin Ladin first is kind of silly too. You people act like catching a criminal is a matter of pushing a button on a remote control. It takes hard work to catch even some of the known criminals running around the U.S. let alone one hiding in a cave in some god-forsaken mountain on the other side of the world. Get serious and give Bush some credit.

The reason we can't go into Pakistan to get Bin Laden:
Pakistan is headed by a moderate pro-US leader, but there are also significant numbers of supporters of Al Qaeda in powerful positions in pakistan as well. keep in mind, the Pakistani Intelligence Agency are the ones who CREATED the Taliban. If you invade tribal regions of Pakistan to fight for months in the mountains looking for Bin laden, you destabilize Pakistan, and create sympathy for Bin laden. Pakistan has a nuclear weapon.
The enemy is non symmetrical - direct action (that Bin laden predicted) wouldn't work. We use indirect, cold war tactics instead to win hearts and minds. The Iraqi democratic experiment is a huge blow to islamic fundamentalism - and example of free iraqis making money, and living western lives. Blue jeans and rock and roll brought down the Soviet Union, there is no reason to think that Al Qaeda will withstand the same treatment.
Liberals are correct that Hussein (likely) had nothing to do with 911. This is a strategic move against Islamic Radicalism at large, a cold war battle. Liberals are correct then that the premise of the war was somewhat flasely sold - still and all its a great move, and one that will benefit us, the Iraqis, the middle east, and the arab on the street in the long run.

Probably a reporter from the NY Times

Oh, give me a break. If you think that killing or catching Osama will end the war on terror, you are sadly mistaken. The Jihadist movement does not depend on one man. When Zarqaui was killed, a new leader took his place in Iraq within a few days.
I fear for our civilization when we underestimate such a threat as the Islamo-facist Jihad movement. It won't go away with the capture of one or one hundred terrorist "leaders"...
