I have been watching the Dateline specials on pedophiles and I am shocked at the high number of pedophiles that seem to be so open about it on video and why does there seem to be an increased number of pedopholes compared to 30 or 40 years ago.
Doesn't the country belief it is time to make treatment more acessible for these troubled people. This needs to be the focus of our nation not trying to ban gay marriage. This is the important issue.

I think this man should get the death penalty, actually I think every sexual preditor should get the death penalty. Anyone who would do something to hurt children deserves death, why should we let them out just to be repeat offenders and ruin countless more lives. I can't believe this is a real life movie like Human Trafficking! What are these people thinking of taking advantage of these innocent kids, who don't know any better. They are not educated like US citizens. About the dangers that you can be lured into. A huge scandal like this, I am estactic to know they catch one of many. What is the matter with these scumbags and where are the parents of those innocent kids? The parents hear stories of what can happen to their children but they seem indifferent about their children's safety. There are women sex offenders as well as men, but the majority of them seem to be sick, depraved, perveted men. Usually when women offend, it is a teacher or something and many of the boys go for a hot teacher. But the men kidnap, rape, torture, and many times murder innocent, young girls, sometimes babies. There is really something wrong with many of the men in this society in their view of sex and women -- it is completed distorted and over rated. Men ought to be ashamed for the things they do in the world, and they need to wake up.

There aren't more pedophiles, per se, it's that we're more aware and there are more media outlets for them to use. People are also much less scared or reluctant to talk about sexual abuse than they used to be, which is another reason every time we turn around there's another story.

Speaking of the death penalty...if I was governor of my state (South Dakota), the first thing I would do is implement public hangings and firing squads as ways of executing criminals sentenced to death. People love blood and gruesome things such as this. Think about it, you could have a carnival, bands, dances. It could be a large gala event and the proceeds could go to the government to help pay for the cost of the executions and keep it from dipping even farther into our pockets. It would be a large morale booster for citizens and I know people would enjoy it.

Also, since we are sort of dipping into the abortion issue. I like to think of it as this way. Growing up on a farm we had pigs. The average sow (mother pig) would throw 8-9 pigs, sometimes upwards of 12, in a single litter. If she had more than that, we would have to cut off the smaller ones to be assured that the larger piglets would survive. This was all for the mother's health as well as the rest of litter's. Us as humans are just another species on this planet and since we are at the top of the food chain, we feel as if each one of us knows what the best thing to do is. I see abortion the same thing as what we would do on the farm to save a majority of the litter. Did we feel bad about it? No. So as just another animal on this vast earth, I don't see any reason as to why a woman should feel guilty for having an abortion or anything of the sort. Obviously the fetus cannot think for itself and make its own decisions. And since it is relying solely on the woman for life why shouldn't the woman be allowed to choose for it? Its either a quick, painless abortion or watching a baby being left on church steps or being dropped into a dumpster. Some people should realize that we are just another species here and that most of this is for the better of the majority.

I'm assuming you're suggesting that had these children not been born, and more specifically to these particular mothers, they would not have been subjected to such horror & cruelty. If so, what a sad & unfortunate thought. Birth is not & should not be a prerequisite to sexual perversion.

Although humans are considered animals, we cannot & should not be compared intellectually to any other animal on this earth. No other animal on this earth can do what humans can do. Can an ape, or gorilla, or pig design computer systems? Can these animals pave roads or construct missiles?

Well naturally I'm assuming that the child has not been born yet and is still in the early stages of development in the womb. Obviously we are the smartest animals on the planet, but are we really supposed to be designing a computer system? Shouldn't we be doing other things like fixing the O-Zone or stopping global warming, that would probably be better than worrying about why or why shouldn't a woman be able to get an abortion...I'm just trying to put all things into retrospect that I feel are paid enough attention to them that should have a greater concern for.

This man and the tourist who participate in these sick actions should be tortured and put to death. This poor childrens lives are ruined and they will live with this terrible crime for the rest of their lives. These sick perverts will never stop. We need to change the consequences for this crime to a more severe punishment. The mothers need to be counciled and show there are other solutions to poverty besides their childs lives.

The gov. has stricter sentence for drug dealer, robbers etc. than they do for child molesters who ruined childrens lives forever. What is wrong with this picture. The problem is that our country has become soft on all criminal activity. We have no deterent system. If we would become harder on the convicted, then others would be less likely to try things like this. Make the consequences worse than the pleasure and things will change.

I didn't raise the issue of abortion, YOU did. Nor, did I use an analogy comparing humans to pigs. If you refuse, or are unable to articulate your point directly, an assumption is the only other alternative for me. So, were/are you implying that children should be aborted (regardless of the stage of development) to prevent them from being sexually abused? If not, my apologies. If you were, then as I said before what a sad & unfortunate thought.

And Yes! we should be designing computers, but that was not my point. My point is that humans or the birthing experience by humans cannot or at least should not be compared to pigs. We as humans: (1) don't have litters (2) don't have (at least I hope not) someone on the sideline waiting to kill off a few "to be assured that the larger [babies] would survive."

I think America needs to think about going back to the good old punishment of hanging... hang a few pedophiles and then the others might take the hint and quit.
