California Man Revealed as al Qaeda Leader

For the first time, a former Orange County, Calif. teenage rock music fan has revealed his role as a top al Qaeda leader.
Adam Gadahn, who disappeared from California seven years ago, appeared unmasked on an al Qaeda tape made public on the internet today.
As previously reported by ABC News, the FBI had concluded that the masked man was Gadahn based on voice analysis of previous al Qaeda tapes. On today's tape, Gadahn is bearded, wearing a turban.
He denounces U.S. soldiers in Iraq and their alleged murder and rapes of Iraqi citizens.
"Who are the real terrorists?" Gadahn asks.
When referring to the alleged atrocities committed by U.S. Marines in Iraq, Gadahn also says, "It's hard to imagine that any compassionate person could see pictures...and not want to go on a shooting spree at the Marines' housing facilities at Camp Pendleton."
Camp Pendleton is located just south of where Gadahn grew up in California.
There was no immediate response from Gadahn's family, which still lives in California. They had previously denied he was the masked figure on al Qaeda tapes.

Of course, he is from Orange County. Of course. Probably some spoiled brat who got everything he wanted and he chose to be a terrorist. Well maybe now they will take real housewives of Orange County off the air so we dont have to se the posh lifestyle they have.

This guy is an absolute fool. He is mentally ill and should be brought back to the US to be given medical treatment rather than be used as a pawn by radical Islamic fundamentalists who are only interested in him because of his citizenship.

umm. actually they need to bring him back and string him up. there is no need for medical attention. also kiley, if you dont like a show thats on TV then you have the right to change the channel. only the taliban would demand it be removed from the air all together.

This guy is a whacko with very little to recommend him yet he is there on the tape as a major Al Queda player. It shows how lame the talent pool in Al Queda is. If we ever get this guy he should be charged with treason and hung.

Agree and disagree. Yes, a spoiled, rich kid who probably thought it was "cool" to be Muslim. Now he's distorted the Koran's teachings like all the other misguided radicals have and made a mockery of Islam. No. I'm not a Muslim. Rather than "treatment" for mental illniss, however, a little jail time would be great for his jerk.

I guess this proves the theory that the true cause of terrorism is poverty which is inflicted onto the world by the evil United States....
I think the Berkeley city council should present him with the keys to the city for his devotion to ending the war in Iraq.

Simple solution for this waste of skin: deliver two laser-guided 500lb. "beard removal devices" directly onto his head as we did to Zarquari. Wrap what's left of him in a bacon suit and let the vultures have a light snack.....end of story.
