FBI Investigating State Dept Hack
July 13, 2006 10:29 AM
Late last night the FBI issued the following statement acknowledging they are investigating the recent intrusions into the State Department's computer systems.
From an FBI spokesman:
"The FBI is mandated by law to investigate matters that potentially impact national security. We take any allegations of attempts to breach security of government computers very seriously. We are working closely and vigorously with our partners at the Department of State to resolve the issue and ensure sensitive data is not compromised in any way."
