New Al Qaeda Tape to Be Released

July 05, 2006 10:58 PM

Al Qaeda is set to release a new video tape featuring one of the suicide bombers from last year's London attacks, according to Ben Venzke at the IntelCenter. Venzke says the as-Sahab production house will be putting out a tape on the Internet sometime Thursday that includes a video last will and testament of Shahzad Tanweer as well as a new statement from the al Qaeda number two leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.

The tape is also expected to include former Californian Adam Gadahn, who now goes by the name of Azzam al-Amriki. Gadahn is believed by U.S. authorities to be running the al Qaeda propaganda operation from a secret location somewhere inside of Pakistan.

Release of the tape the day before the London anniversary bombings suggest that al Qaeda had a significant role in the attacks which killed 52 and injured hundreds.

Don't use "inside of Pakistan", it is a double preposition. You should simply use "inside Pakistan".

Good to see ABC's hiring standards include 3rd graders.

What is this hollywood? Tapes will continue unless we stop talking about them and showing them.

Al Qaeda co-opts any violent act done in its name around the world. Extremists then benefit by having the "Al Qaeda" tag attached to their act, giving it instant cachet. Bush benefits by perpetuating the rumor that Al Qaeda are everywhere- possibly even next door to you. Everyone wins- except innocent civilians.
Al Qaeda wasn't pulling the strings in Madrid.
There is not massive, organized network conspiring against us.

How exactly does this suggest AQ had a significant role? Maybe it only suggests they would like to take credit for something a buncha thugs did on their own, without any outside help.

Seems like youre leaping to conclusions here.

When we begin really understanding the mind of these people and that it is a no win situation we might win the war against them.

"Release of the tape the day before....suggest that al Qaeda had a significant role in the attacks."

Baloney. It suggests only that the Al Qaeda leadership is willing to grasp at any straw (even the home-grown variety) after the fact to assert its relevance.

Yawn. I find it hillarious that these cowards are so isolated all they can do is bombard us with warnings. All they do is wait and pray to allah that some radicals with no ties to Al-qaeda will blow up a train or bus. Then they take credit for it. Right, we are so dumb we can't see right through that con. Time is running out for these moles. I assure you we are right near them and waiting to attack.

What is this some sort of great movie release? Where do i buy the tickets? How come they advertise the release as if it was some sort of hollywood film? by the way, would it play in IMAX?

I'm not surprised ABC news is serving as the PR outlet for the terrorist scum. Pre-announcing their upcoming Jihad rant must resonate with the news executives wayward view of the world. What other independent news source, save for Aljazeera, echoes their anti-American/administration views?

Let's gather everybody that wants to blow themselves up somewhere in the desert of Iraq for a group photo. Smile! There's going to be a bright flash.....

How the heck do they know a tape "WILL BE RELEASED"???? If we know it's going to be released let's get these people????

Bring it on. Nazis will never take London down.

We have bombs for them as well.
Zarqawi also thought he was un-
touchable.

STOP giving the Al Qaeda FREE PUBLICITY! HOWEVER... if you are the kind of organization that gives uot free publicity, why not do it for small businesses that sell peaceful products rather than small businesses that TERRORIZE and depend upon getting the word out in order to thrive!

Awesome! Is it coming to DVD as well?

All I know is that when they do catch Bin Laden, they better torture the dickens out of him to get some good intelligence. Because if they politicians have let him waltz around Pakistan all the time for nothing it'll be a disgrace. Nuke him I say!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOR-ING!

Al Quaeda couldn't possibly be more elevated than by Justice Stevens when he gave the whole organization without a country the same status as such. This story is chicken feed compared to that FUBAR move.

Executive branch rules war. Legislative branch sanctions it. Justice needs to stay on the sidelines.
