Parsons_john_nrThe FBI has added an Ohio fugitive to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List.  John W. Parsons becomes the 484th person to join the list where he replaces New York State cop killer Ralph Bucky Phillips who was apprehended recently.

Parsons is wanted for killing a police officer in Ohio and escaped from jail this past July by making a rope out of bed sheets and toilet paper.

He has previously been sought by the FBI in a crime alert but has now nabbed himself a spot on the top 10 list.

Parsons was being held at the Ross County Jail in Ohio without bond, pending trial for several indictments, including aggravated murder for the slaying of a Chillicothe Police Officer on April 21, 2005, having weapons under disability, tampering with evidence and two counts of grand theft.

A state arrest warrant was issued by Chillicothe Municipal Court on July 29, 2006, after Parsons was charged with escape from custody. The same day, Parsons was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, and a warrant was issued for his arrest by the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio.
