Staffers Testify on Foley E-mails
October 16, 2006 6:14 PM
The congressional staffer who was the first to learn of former Rep. Mark Foley's e-mails to a former page testified before the House Ethics Committee today.
Danielle Savoy, as first reported by Brian Ross & the Investigative Team on the Blotter, worked for Rep. Rodney Alexander (R-LA) last year when a former page brought the e-mails to her attention and asked for her advice.
THE BLOTTER RECOMMENDS
These are the e-mails House Speaker Dennis Hastert later referred to as "overly friendly" -- not the sexually explicit instant messages that prompted Foley's resignation when they were obtained by ABC News last month.
Savoy's testimony went on longer than expected; the next scheduled witness was told to come back later because the session was "running over."
After Savoy finally finished her testimony, the committee heard from Rep. Alexander's chief of staff, Royal Alexander (no relation).
He said he was "honest and straightforward" in his testimony and that he was "proud of our office and our page."
His boss, Rep. Alexander, is expected to testify before the House Ethics Committee on Wednesday.

Gee I dont know, maybe they are too busy with the Abramoff scanadal, the Duke Cunningham scandal, the Tom Delay Scandal, the Halliburton Scandal, Rep Foley molesting underage kids..the list goes on and on and on....but hey dotn worry about Iran, North Korea, or Iraq, not to mention that little other war Afghanistan, no dont worryt about that why dont you sit around and think up some catchy fear and smear phrases..anything but actually dealing with the issues...

What? Foley isn't a "real criminal"? Attempting to molest young boys isn't a real crime? Covering up a potential child molesters actions isn't a real crime? If not, it ought to be.
You people making excuses and trying to deflect attention from Foley make me sick.

Wait a sec- he is going to announce the name of the priest WHO IS PROBABLY DEAD AND CANNOT DEFEND HIMSELF?
I'm sorry, but this has not smelled right from the beginning. Why announce a name? What is that going to do? GET HELP.
