Guilty or not, I feel so sad for his wife and children. This must be awful for them all.

You shouldn't feel sad. Why are his wife and children the first things that come to your mind? To my mind comes a connection with the 9/11 hijacker, Mohamed Atta. He should be thankful that this is a minimum security facility. He deserves Guantanamo (or worse)

He had nothing to do with Atta. THe fact that Atta showed up at SunCruz does not implicate Abramoff with 911. Abramoff was in Washington, DC and never saw the ships. The guy in Florida was Adam Kidan. He's the guy you need to be looking at for the Atta connection. He also had the mob ties.

He had nothing to do with 911 or Atta. Al Qaeda cells exist in the United States. Does that mean this country harbors terrorists? Abramoff was never in Florida nor did he ever see the ships. His role in SunCruz was nil. He worked in DC. Kidan manned the ships there and had the ties to the mob.
I feel sorry for his wife and kids too. SunCruz needs to be reexamined.

lila, you are not too well informed. Kidan was Abramoff's lackey. Gus Boulis was rubbed out by Abramoff and Boulis when he refused to sell SunCruz. Get a clue!
and start reading.
If you feel sorry for Abramoff's family, then you are suffering from a form of battered wife syndrome.

All Lobbyists's belong in prison...
Abrahmoff is a good place to start.

Well let me tell you, that I saw Mr Abrahmoff and his wife at the Cumberland facility while visiting my brother who is 505 miles away from us for a petty crime. He's doing his time, beside the big wigs of DC and Wall street and they look the same when they are next to the ordinary guy. Feel bad for his family...She's got lots of that cash to spend to keep her busy. And he'll retire comfortably when he gets out ....After he singson all his congress deals..
