FBI Already Investigating Possible Election Law Violations
November 07, 2006 3:44 PM
FBI agents who have undergone training in election law violations are already getting a work-out today.
The Virginia Board of Elections tells ABC News the FBI is investigating claims of voter intimidation surrounding the state's hot senate race between incumbent Sen. George Allen (R-Va.) and Democratic challenger James Webb.
From each of the FBI's 56 field offices across the country, agents are working as election crime coordinators allied with federal prosecutors to respond to complaints made today by voters.
THE BLOTTER RECOMMENDS
This consists of fielding and sorting through calls of alleged improprieties, including voter registration fraud and voter intimidation as alleged in the Virginia senate race.
FBI spokesman Bill Carter tells ABC News, "Based on past experience, the FBI receives numerous calls of voter-related complaints during a major election."
Numbers of calls or investigations already under way for today's election were not yet available.
The special training provided to agents stems from the 2006 Campaign Finance And Ballot Fraud Initiative which identifies, coordinates, and supports campaign finance fraud and election law violation cases.

They should start with investigating Diebold and their rigged voting machines? Two grad students at Harvard created a patch to corrupt the Diebold machine's program, in UNDER A MINUTE, so that the machine counts a 3/2 vote as 4/1 for the loser. And this corruption is completely undetectable after the card is loaded into the machine. There were also reports from Georgia, Florida, and elsewhere that last-minute patches have been applied to machines right before elections without any oversight. Whistleblowers are stepping out all over. Hopefully the FBI will listen to them.

How about those who have been injured in line of duty as teachers/firefighters/law enforcement persons - and those with terminal illnesses with no cure insight - to be able tobe treated at VA Hospital near them atno cost - andnot needing to fightthe war with insurance company who dictates what meds you can have- etc. when you don't have long and ARE a veteran. I have avascular necrosis with PTSD, and titanium hips and shoulders. United Healthcare won't let Medco provide me with what myDr. Siegfried Schmidt of UF SHands prescribed for me - nexium and chlortrimatole - the insurance company makes a very poor doctor and generates so much excess paperwork for my doctor-because there are no laws to put honor back in the hands of the doctors -
and puts caps on malpractice for good doctors that will keep them able to practice - it isbad now.
This idea could lower premiums for all the others.
Worthy of a study and trial in some State like FL.
