Leader of Algerian Group Vows Obedience to bin Laden in New Video
January 10, 2007 4:01 PM
The leader of an Algerian terrorist group hinted in a new video posted on the Internet that his group would follow al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden's instructions if asked to fight outside of Algeria.
"Place us wherever you want. You will find us to be obedient," says Abu Musaab Abdul Wadud in the 22-minute video entitled "We Are Coming."
The Algerian Salafist Group for Call and Combat (GSPC) joined al Qaeda in 2006 and pledged allegiance to bin Laden, as announced in a video by al Zawahri and later confirmed by the group itself.
THE BLOTTER RECOMMENDS
"Our brothers will be a thorn in the necks of the American and French crusaders and their allies, and a dagger in the hearts of the French traitors and apostates," Zawahri said of the Algerian group in his video on the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Analysts believe the move was a sign the Algerian organization was going global. According to intelligence experts, the Algerian group is suspected of having cells throughout Europe. In addition, it is known to run terrorist training camps in North Africa, a draw for Tunisians, Libyans, Moroccans and Mauritanians. Counterterrorism officials and analysts told "The Washington Post" veterans from those training camps have become one of the largest foreign contingents fighting U.S. and coalition forces in Iraq.

In the new video, Abdul Wadud, whose real name is Abdul Malik Drukdal, updates bin Laden on the situation in Algeria and assures him that his group is fighting according to a set plan.
He also warns Algerian President Abdul Aziz Bouteflika against relying on the U.S. and other Western countries like France as allies, saying that they will eventually abandon him. "Bouteflika, you have to know, along with your assistants the generals and your masters the crusaders, that we are coming...We are coming in spite of our deep wounds...and in spite of our expulsion and our casualties."
Abdul Wadud congratulates the "heroes" in Iraq and acknowledges the establishment of "the Islamic State in al Anbar." He also expresses support for the Islamic Courts in Somalia and claims the U.S. is losing in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Finally, Abdul Wadud tries to incite Algerian Muslims to join the fight against the government. "Our issue is your issue, our victory would be your victory and our defeat -- God forbid -- would be your defeat."
The video is dated Jan. 3. It was shot in daylight and appears similar to the ones issues by bin Laden and al Qaeda's No. 2 Ayman al Zawahri. It shows Abdul Wadud sitting in front of a green cloth with a weapon by his side. Abdul Wadud however is reading from a paper.
The new video signals that while fighting their own battles, militant Islamist groups in different parts of the world are coming together and addressing the same issues, which at the time are focused on recognition of the Islamic State of Iraq and the conflict in Somalia.

These uncivilized/uneducated morphed humans(islamists)are just like a company thats having difficulty SELLING A PRODUCT!if you have to advertise heavily(these perverts)ARE NOT SELLING ENOUGH PRODUCT so this is like watching TV advertising proliferation.(If you follow my drift)THERE ADVERTISMENTS ARE NOT WORKING,BECAUSE they don't know that WE the civilized are right behind them tapping them on the back BEFORE WE PULL THE TRIGGER.,ONE AT A TIME.:-)

Can you say Barbary Wars Redux? The only hope we have is to kill them before they kill us. After the next attack and after our collective attention span lapses (again), the Cindy Sheehan wing of the democratic party (i.e., the majority of democrats) will still be arguing that we are too tough on these nut-jobs. Wake up America, the push is on.

We use language any way we want. Sometimes terrorists, islamists, Jihadis or patriots. Language is our property, we use it when we want, how we want. Sometimes we talk louder with our actions. We are always right and they are always wrong. We always hate them and they always hate us. We love to kill and they do too. If you want to live in this world, follow my rules or die. As long as we don't agree, we should live in conflict today and tomorrow. They say, when elephants fight it is the ants that get killed. None cares about us. When do we stop living in brute arrogance?

Re Geek's post; what the hell are you babbling about?!?!?! You sound just like those islamist shills; all talk and making no sense whatsoever. If I read/interpreted your post correctly, we're (the U.S. and her allies) just as guilty as the terrorists. Though I need to draw one distinction between Us and Them; we only kill when we have to. Terrorits kill because they enjoy it. Geek, open your eyes and burn your DNC membership!!!

These terrorists/Islamists/Jihadis get uglier and uglier. This "man" (early Cro-Magnon) looks like he fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. He looks like a "WaDUD".

Geek:
You can only have peace if both sides agree to peace. Their stated goal is to wage Jihad against ALL non-believers...that includes you. They only desire peace once Islam has dominion over all. In this case, you either defend yourself, or they will kill you. (you can always convert to Islam and follow Sharia law if you wish to live...for most of us, that is not an option...we like our freedom.)
Did the Jews do anything to the NAZI's to deserve their fate...no. Did the Mori tribe of the South Pacific do anything to deserve annihilation by the Maori tribe...no. Sometimes it is necessary to defend yourself. Otherwise, you will be destroyed.
History tells us, that when someone says they want to exterminate you, they mean it. Your moral relativistic view of this particular situation blinds you to the reality of the danger we face. Their desire is to take away freedom and impose Islamic Sharia Law on the world, ours is to preserve our way of life. The two sides are NOT equal. You had better pick a side. Your life depends on it.

If we just showed the same resolve and determination as these terrorists do there wouldn't be any terrorist left. Do you think that they sit around saying, "Ali, we have lost 10,000 militents, we should re-deploy our forces over the horizon so that they are out of harms way." Do the people that fund them go around asking if they should cut off funds for any surges in manpower?

Uncivilized? Absolutely, by our standards. Uneducated? Don't you believe it. They are extremely well educated. Educated in how to fight and defeat us all. This is a world wide war like nothing we have ever seen before. If the civilized world does not face up to this soon, we will all be in trouble. If we do not start fighting them on their own terms, we will all be living under Islamic Law.

Is the world ready to admit that this is a World Religious War yet?
Posted by: Russ | Jan 11, 2007 7:03:32 PM
To Armymedic.
What &$^*I^ you are talking about the Moriori I am a New Zealander, and can tell you that the idea that the Moriori were destroyed by the Moriori has been long debunked here. It was largely promulgated to make the Maori look like savage warlike people and European settlers as a civilising influence. Sound familiar??? Speaking of civilisation, Death penalties, over 30,000 of your own people murdered with handguns each year, No universal healthcare, Segregration until the 60's.... Doesnt sound that civilised to me
Posted by: runningdog | Jan 12, 2007 12:38:26 AM
Yes this is a religious war. And as such we are seen as a Christian Crusade. This is not helped by a President who uses the term at the outset. There are Archeological digs in the Middle East that have layer after layer of rubble that alternates Muslim/Christian. This fight is not new, just the latest generation taking part. The British overpowered the Ottoman's and here we sit in the oppressors seat over the third world. In order to stop this ages old conflict, we need to help them, not kill them. Or, we simply delay this fight and leave it for our kindred.
Posted by: Russell | Jan 12, 2007 11:59:06 AM
Well runningdog, the archaeological and historical accounts would show you to be wrong. Of course when you are coming at an arguement from an anti-western point of view, like you are, you would seek to debunk such evidence. If you don't, it might force you to re-examine the flawed reasoning behind you belief system. We can't have that can we. Have to keep the faith..huh?
I suggest you read Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. You might actually learn something about human nature.
Your slavishness to your quasi-religious ideology is very evident in your post, by the use of such phrases like "Speaking of civilisation, Death penalties, over 30,000 of your own people murdered with handguns each year, No universal healthcare, Segregration until the 60's....". Do you have anything to offer, other than repeating tired, old rhetoric?
Speaking of rhetoric...Are you still shilling for the old Soviet Union or something? The same tired anecdotal accusations have been made by Marxists for 50 years. Why would you repeat their rhetoric, unless you either believe in what they espouse, or are simply a mindless 'Useful Idiot'. Last time I checked, 100 million died at the hands of that ideology.
Now,who was more civilized?
Russel: How would you suggest we help them? Should we convert to Islam, as they demand? Anything short of converting will not stop this conflict. They will continue to kill us until we convert. It is that simple.
"...here we sit in the oppressors seat over the third world." Are you aware that the 'World Systems Approach', and the 'Dependency Theory' branches of political science, of which that statement arises, are no longer considered valid because they are considered overly-ideological. Would you approach everything from a Christian, Jewish or Muslim ideological point of view? I would hope not. So why would you approach it from a Marxist ideological perspective?
Think about it.

Fighting ANY war with Terrorists is like trying to get rid of ants in your yard. All we can do it stamp on the ant mound to disrupt organization because we and the rest of the word are not willing to repeat terrible history and EXTERMINATE to make it stop. That is all you will ever accomplish because what we are fighting has no single head, no one government to overthrow with no end in sight. As soon as you stop, they rebuild for another attack from another mound. Each head is loyal to one thing, hate the US and its way of life: that is what unites them. Continue to disrupt and fight them and lives will be lost, money will be spent and our nation will be torn in our views of what must be done. Are we so dumb a country that we think leaving terrorists to their own devices to sort it out themselves will yield anything but more attacks on us. This is a war that will NEVER end. Our children will inherit this new world problem and maybe even their children. Why... because at the fundamental and personal level of each terrorist is the hatred of all things that appose their way of life. They use killing as a way to impose it on others and enforce their tyrannical religious law. Know this, ignore it or treat it with kid gloves and we will have something far worse than Hitler on our hands… dozens or even hundreds of Hitler’s. History has proven that if you see the ant mound building against you across the yard, you had better hit it first or it will be an even bigger infestation!

In an ideal world we (America) would be able to remove ourselves from international affairs and problems. We could simply withdraw and state "everyone do your own thing and leave us alone." But, that won't work because there are powers who are the aggressors and wish to destroy us. I.e. Chavez, Russia, China, North Korea just to name a few. It's essential to our survival as a nation to maintain peace through military supremacy. We can't stay out of international relations and politics, even if we wanted to.

This is all a bunch excuses. What magnified all this is Bush/Cheney grred. Russia, France, china etc... told Bush if you attack Iraq, it will get worse. Bush/Cheney was too greedy, sallivating at Iraq OIL. You pay for your sins. There was justification for Afghanistan. ABOSULUTLEY NO JUSTIFICATION for IRAQ atack and trying to grab their OIL. Its illegal, immoral, idiotic etc...etc...

I think we need to let our own FBI investigate these claims because our military seems to have an outside agenda to keep the war machine oiled and running no matter what. We can only trust the FBI to give us an honest look into the dealings of madmen like them.
