'D.C. Madam' Client Ready to Testify About Sex
May 04, 2007 2:04 PM
One of the prominent Washington men named as an escort service customer of the so-called "D.C. Madam" is apparently ready to testify he had sex with a woman or women from the madam's now-infamous Pamela Martin and Associates.
A lawyer for Harlan Ullman, a renowned military analyst and Washington Times columnist, says his client won't back down if he is called to testify by Jeane Palfrey, who prosecutors say ran an illegal prostitution ring for 13 years.
Palfrey maintains her service did nothing illegal and only provided "fantasy, legal sex," which does not include intercourse of any kind or oral sex.

"Any notion that Ms. Palfrey has that Mr. Ullman will help her in any way is incorrect," said Ullman's lawyer, Mark Mukasey, in a statement to the Blotter on ABCNews.com.
Previously, Ullman had told reporters that the allegation he used Palfrey's service was "beneath the dignity of comment."

When informed of Ullman's new stance, Palfrey told ABC News the former Rumsfeld colleague could be prosecuted along with her.
"If Mr. Ullman committed illegal acts, he can be charged with racketeering as well, since he would be a part of the overall conspiracy the government is alleging," Palfrey said. "It takes two to tango."
Ullman was named by Palfrey in court papers and in public statements outside the courthouse earlier this week.
Phone records provided to ABC News by Palfrey show Ullman was a repeat customer, who Palfrey says was known by her women as "Mr. U" and is well-remembered.
"He was a disagreeable character," Palfrey says, "and there were some complaints about him." She said some of the women refused to service him a second time "because he was an unpleasant person."
Palfrey has rejected an offer from federal prosecutors to plead guilty to reduced charges in return for a four-month prison term.
"I told them to go to hell with their deal," Palfrey said, "and instead will call my clients to testify in my defense."

I kind of thought this was about prostitution and well extortion. 4 months seems rather paltry and yer all being taken for a ride...
The "johns" are paying left and right and this dame will no doubt write a book a make a chunk of change off of the public's and law enforcement's stupidity.
THROW THE BOOK AT HER!

yeah, why does eveyone think ABC news has the only copy? ABC news is just a test run. They have a COPY of the list. This guy Ullman, is a complete moron thinking he can pull a Jason Giambi to the public trying to keep the other names quite (probably has some friends hes trying to save)

I think the central reason why no one is interested in the Dems is b/c they are already being accused of 'destroying the moral fabric of America.' Where's the fun in seeing a person who is already being told that they have no morals being outed?
We want to see the hypocritical conservatives eat some crow meat when it comes out that they wake up Sunday morning to go to Church- they wake up next to a call girl!

The only moral government is a TRANSPARENT government. But we are too busy playing spy games instead of talking much less negotiating with our enemies.

The underlying issue here is the 'World's Oldest Profession.' The fact that prostitution is illegal in this day and age is ridiculous. Whether you agree with it or not, there's no way in this world or any other you're going to stop it.
Do what they've done in Nevada - legalize it, regulate it (mandatory condoms, periodic free health checks for the girls) and leave it be. If you support it, fine - if you don't, and it's against your morals, then don't patronize it.
Sex isn't going away, people. It's a part of life, and the fact that we attempt to make laws to regulate how, when, and where it's right or wrong (outside of child abuse and rape) for consenting adults is a mentality that should have died with the Crusades.

Walk away from it and don't look back

This is too funny....
You always hear the Rep talking about how marriage is a blessed union only to be shared and taken seriously between men and women. But they so HELL NO to same sex couples who only want to be acknowledged as a legal spouse. But yet here are the REPS...cheating on their wives, cheating on their BLESSED UNION. The HOMOSEXUALS should march on Washington, demanding whats only fair.
I love my family....but yet I am secretly calling the escort service for a massage...Can't your wife rub your back and give you a happy ending....FOR FREE.... STOP SPENDING TAX DOLLARS.....

I think having an affair is wrong. I also think using a prostitution service is also wrong. So, I don't really care if someone is liberal or conservative. Wrong is wrong.
The most moronic argument I've seen is "see, the conservatives do it to!!" As if, A.) liberals don't try to tout themselves as good people (what, they just openly admit that they will have affairs and illicit sex and people should vote for them anyway?) or B.) just because one group does it, it makes it right?
Most importantly, the list hasn't even been released in entirity, so liberals AND conservatives alike are probably on this list.
Although the GOP is known to be more about family values and religion, it's as if democrat fans are claiming democrats care nothing about those things. THEY DON'T?? Well, I thought I was split ticket, but forget that if a dem isn't even going to pretend for a second that they care about morals and family values. Which, btw, I don't think is true.
So, dems out there should shut their trap so they don't make their party look so bad. I was hoping to vote for Obama. . . but maybe not if he openly could care less about family values. I would like to believe otherwise.

I guess my point being is that Clinton was also a hypocrite to have an affair. Just as any person on that list likely will be. Democrat or Republican.
Posted by: Zamura | May 4, 2007 3:21:56 PM
Since it's out of the closet that he was a John...............he's had time to consult with his cronies and will probably tell the prosecution what they WANT to hear.....whether truth, or not. Seems like he originally "only" had massages. Now he's had sex. What happened between then & now? Did he return for more?

First of all, to whoever, mentioned it, it is highly unlikely that Ullman could be charged with soliciting -- the statute of limitations on any possible solicitiation is long passed. It would be like someone saying "yeah, I bought weed off that guy a couple years ago." You're not going to be charged with anything.
Second, Palfrey is delusional if she thinks solicitation is the same as violating RICO laws, which is what she's charged with. Sorry, Jeane, you're in this by yourself.
Finally, she and her whackjob attorney overreached on this. If I were one of these guys whose name she leaked, like Ullman I'd say, "So, you thought you could leak my name, ruin my career and then I'd help you by testifying that nothing happened. Well, guess what -- I got nothing to lose and I'm going to testify against you." I'll bet she feels pretty ill right now.

These guys were not pay for sex....they were paying the women to shut up and LEAVE! That's not illegal!
Let her go!
Posted by: dean | May 4, 2007 3:24:05 PM
Zamura, finally someone that gets it. I agree with you 100%
Posted by: Sooner | May 4, 2007 3:25:11 PM
Who honestly feels shocked and offended if senior Beltway people are paying for sex from willing, adult professional sex workers? Yes, it's hypocritical and on that point, disturbing. But other than that, so what? These women were willing, adult professionals. This list will ruin careers of perhaps at least a few, talented, capable people. In Europe, this would be a mild scandal at most. But lives would not be ruined over it.

Enough is now known to turn this sex scandal into a sting that nets all the hookers and all the politicians. One and all have broken the law and each must be required to serve time in a federal pen or be executed. The madam and her crew can go to jail, her republican supporters should be juiced on the gurney.

A politican/washington d.c. insider caught lying and paying for sex. Nope, I just don't believe that could EVER happen, not with our good, wholesome, family loving politicians.
Last time I checked you can't pay for sex, unless you're married, then you pay it all, save half and get divorced.
Posted by: slovak | May 4, 2007 3:45:25 PM
what?!? no one has blamed George Bush for this yet?!?!
Can't you see this is all his fault! If he didn't bring us into the illegal...ZZZ....
Posted by: abba dabba | May 4, 2007 3:46:48 PM
Michael's the only one who gets it. Make prostitution legal and free up law enforcement for 'real' crimes, like felonies, murders, drug busts. Sheesh. A lotta hullaballoo over nuttin. Ain't much different than a guy taking a girl out to an expensive restaurant and expecting to be compensated in the bedroom. Like the fella said, sex is never going away

In every single city in this country there are dozens of escorts services. The police could easily bust any of them at any time BUT THEY DON'T.
So why this woman? Why only her?
If I was her I'd do the same thing by releasing the names of the Johns.
This country is full of hypocrites! Most of the Johns would be the 1st ones to vote against the legalization of prostitution.
The sexual repression in this country is frightening.
If you wanna prosecute escorts then prosecute them all. They are in the yellow pages.
