FBI: Terror Plot at JFK Disrupted by Arrests
June 02, 2007 12:26 PM
Authorities in New York today announced arrests in an ongoing counterterror investigation of a plot to blow up the jet fuel pipeline that runs through John F. Kennedy International Airport, officials said.
The plot, authorities stress, was not at an operational stage, and the plotters, who included a former airport employee, had no ability to execute it.
The investigation, which appears to have been ongoing for at least two years, was brought to a conclusion when one suspect was about to leave jurisdictions where U.S. authorities had the ability to monitor his activities.
Sources said the plotters had "indirect" links to overseas terror elements, and the plot had links to Guyana, Trinidad and possibly Germany.

I think it is sad. that people feel so uncomfortable in their own lives they have to destroy and kill others.

So what do you do about it? Ignore them? Negotiate with them? Kill them? Put them in a prison cell on Cuba?

FOUR MEN PLOTTING TO BLOW UP FUEL LINES AND A FUEL DEPOT IN NEW YORK? I WONDER IF THEY WERE MORMANS OR SCIENTOLOGISTS OR BAPTISTS OR JEWS OR CATHOLICS OR BUDDISTS OR LUTHERNS OR...

Quite interesting that in this last year before the elections all these plots are appearing. We'll probably see more up until Nov. 08.

Exactly what are you saying, AL? Do you have conspiracy theorist blinders on?

If I did I'd say you were Cheney checking up on poor moi. Some people are conspiracy gurus and others are self-delusional about everything that is put in the media. Maybe we're all a little crazy and subscribe to both but if you have been lied to enough you begin to question things, which most people think is the smart thing to do anyway.
