American Al Qaeda Leader Says U.S. Embassies a Prime Target
August 05, 2007 9:03 AM
American al Qaeda leader Adam Gadahn says al Qaeda will continue to target the United States at home and overseas, singling out U.S. embassies as a target, in a new Internet video released by as Sahab, the propaganda wing of al Qaeda.
Video: Al Qaeda: U.S. Embassies in Crosshairs
The video, which runs more than an hour long, also features previously seen video of Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahri as well as an interview with a man said to be the suicide bomber who attacked the U.S. Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, last year, according to a preliminary analysis of the video.
"We shall continue to target you at home and abroad, just as you target us at home and abroad, and these spy dens and military command and control centers from which you plotted your aggression against Afghanistan and Iraq, and which still provide vital moral, military, material and logistical support to the Crusade, shall continue to be legitimate targets for brave Muslims," says Gadahn, who hails from Orange County, Calif. "Stop the Crusade, and leave the Muslims alone."

As the Blotter on ABCNews.com reported last week, this highly anticipated video was advertised for days on extreme Islamist Web sites with the headline "Wait for the Big Surprise."
The video features a graphic re-enactment of last year's attack in Karachi, which killed four people, including an American diplomat, as well as aftermath video of the 1998 attacks on the American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
"As for our message to the Americans and their Crusader allies," said Gadahn, "it is this: The amount of respect we have for your international law is even less than the respect you hold for defined Shariah, and our observance of it is comparable to your observance of Shariah's. How can we comply with a law which contradicts divine law in whole and in part? How can we recognize a law which states that the embassy or consulate is for all intents and purposes an inviolable fortress which the host country has no right to enter or monitor and when our Shariah's commands us to liberate every handspan of Islamic land occupied by the unbelievers?"
More details on the video will be released shortly.

LET'S PUT A STOP TO THIS NONSENSE RIGHT NOW. This video, like ALL of the other recent videos like this, was first identified by a *US* based website. NOBODY ELSE can independently verify the source or contents of these videos. Read, for instance, the new Associated Press story on regarding this video. In the middle of the story there is a disclaimer that the video cannot be independently verified. This is true of ALL these Adam Gahdahn videos. This is highly suspicous. Why can nobody else using the internet find these videos? Whey do they always get leaked to the press by one of three *US* based organization? Furthermore, why are all 3 of these US based organizations **SELLING** these videos for profit on their websites?

This kid used to be into satanic stuff before he converted to islam. What does that say about his credibility?

Adam Gadahn is under indictment for treason.

I saw the headline about terror, Al Qaeda, US targets and knew once I clicked on it, it would lead me right to The Blotter. Oh, to have a nickel for each and every story that has been posted here about our imminent peril, only to have nothing become of it since the Blotter began.

I have always found the 'military supplier amnesia' affecting U.S. Forign Policy so...'convenient'. M. Noriega tows the party line, he can sell all the (so-called) 'illegal' drugs he wants... Usama Bin Ladin needs 'stinger' missils to shoot down Russian 'Hind' attack copters? OK; (...Was a 'manpac', {stinger} responsible for t.w.a.-800?). BTW: Does anyone, perchance, know what the 'We're in Iraq to..." B/s slogan(s)currently, (over the past 24Hr.'s), is/
are?
As long as Usama & Gadahn & the rest of these people are (in some cynical sense) 'useful' to Chaney, Bush, Clinton/Obama/Whoever'08, they'll be in the "...We think their in the hils of Pakistan & we're respecting the 'territorial integrity' of our {nuclear-armed} ally..." retorical state...or some such 'Load'. (I'll allow the reader to decide 'what' substance(s) this 'load' is/are comprised of...).
...Gee...Isn't it fun to be a 'star' on that new 'game show', where the entire human population is either a 'holy_consumer' or 'collateral damage'??

It's obvious that AG didn't get a lot of love as a child. I just hope our government captures and tries him in secrecy, so he cannot hide behind our Constitution.

ARE THE DEMOCRATS LISTENING TO THESE GUYS?EDWARDS,OBAMA,SOUNDS LIKE WAR TALK TO ME,DALY KOS.

Interesting that he's citing old, old scores. Apparently they are demonstrably toothless recently.
He may be a ding-dong like the rest, but he's rallying the sheep. Using old scores may indicate there is a flagging of interest.
Nevertheless, pay attention.

I believe Mr. Bush's plan from the outset was to make the jihadist's regret the attack of 9-11. A sort of "if you attack us, we will respond 10x's more" message that appears to be getting across. We know we cannot totally defeat the terrorists but if we can make them realize that blowing up America isn't worth the price they will have to pay to do it they may choose some other target not in the USA. If Isamist countries choose to follow Sharia, so be it. If they choose to force non islamics to follow suite, they have to realize it put's their own agenda in great jeopardy.

What a pathetic coward! If I had the time and money I would hunt him down myself and slap the taste out of his cowardly little mouth. What a disgusting excuse for human life.

Substitute "CIA" for "Al Qaeda", and suddenly this all starts to make sense.
Posted by: h5mind | Aug 5, 2007 1:31:49 PM
If this idiot is qualified for a leadership position in Al Qaeda, I think we have very little to worry about.
Posted by: Frank | Aug 5, 2007 1:32:31 PM
These guys are freaks who are still fighting the crusades. They should be ruthlessly dealt with when caught, and otherwise ignored.
As Adam Gaghan, only in America would it not be illegal to be so stupid!

I'd like to see this "tough guy" square off with one of our Marines one on one. I think after about 5 mins this guy would be crying. har har har
Posted by: Greenie | Aug 5, 2007 1:41:49 PM
Well Joe. We havent caught him for the same reason we arent going to catch Bin Laden. We took our armed forces and money and put them into invading and occupying Iraq instead of chasing Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan. That is like beating up some guys distant Aunt after he blows up your house instead of walking next door to his house and beating the crap out of him. Bin Laden must have blackmail video of Bush still doing coke and downing beers in Governors mansion when he met him.

This article would have more impact on your readers if you devoted a little more space to Adam/Azam the Am'ur'i'can...to show how a home-schooled, bible-fear'in, heavy metal kid from Orange County wound up on the FBI's Most Wanted list for Treason. That hasn't happened in this country for quite some time...
Better yet, if Adam, as a single American, can find OBL, and even camp out with him, why can't the entire intellectual resources of the US find him?
What's that say about our "Intelligence?"
