Karachi Bomber Seen on New Al Qaeda Video
August 05, 2007 1:48 PM
A man identified as the suicide bomber who killed four people in an attack on the United States Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan last year appears on the new al Qaeda video, smiling and loading explosives into the car that was allegedly used in the suicide bombing in which a U.S. diplomat was killed.
Al Hafez Othman speaks to the camera to give a lengthy martyrdom message in which he says he was captured by U.S. forces in Afghanistan when he fought with the Taliban and that he later trained in Pakistan.
He also sends a message to Osama bin Laden. "God protect him," he says.
Al Qaeda Commander Ayman al Zawahri also appears on the tape paying his respects to Othman. "And when God granted him freedom, he returned to battle the Christians under the direction of the leader of the believers, Mullah Mohammed Omar, who is victorious with the permission of God. He made the decision to take his car, full of explosives, and drive it into the American Embassy in Karachi," says Zawahri.

The video, which was first located by Strategic Translations, a terrorism analysis firm, is entitled "Let's Live Honorably or Die as Martyrs."
After Othman rigs his car full of explosives, he is shown hugging fellow followers good-bye before he drives off into the night. The faces of the other men shown on the tape are blurred.
The video also features clips of Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and George Bush. In one clip, Bush is shown reacting to the attack in Karachi, which occurred on the eve of his visit there. "Terrorists and killers are not going to prevent me from going to Pakistan," he says.
Al Qaeda has previously released martyrdom videos of suicide bombers, including a few of the 9/11 hijackers and the 7/7 London bombers, after their attacks.
In this video, Othman says to the camera, "Praise be to God, I started jihad."

This is why we have Guantanamo. You let them out and they will attack you again.

These poor lunatic saps. They are lured to their deaths and to cause the deaths of innocent people with the belief that they will be "serviced" by 72 virgins and they will lay down next to a river flowing with wine. Instead, they'll meet the justice they so richly deserve.

Amazing how they think they have picked a god that they believe in and then they kill people for no reason. Every last one of this fools are Evil and will rot in hell for their actions.

These suicide bombers believe they are on a jihad - a holy war. This is not the first time the United States has faced this ilk of closely aligned (and determined) fanatics - who believe their actions will be rewarded in an afterlife.
I am convinced this is not action based in their desparation - it is based in their belief, be it religious or secular.

Has ABC verified the authenticity of this purported video? Of course not. More false flag fear mongering about an enemy that does not exist. Bush is the terrorist.

Mark, all you have to do is get a visa and a plane ticket; go to Pakistan or other parts of the middle east to see for your self what you claim to be false...

Anyone like Mark Ronson who indicates that our enemy doesn't exist is an idiot or certainly not in touch with reality.

ronson - you have not a clue. you are obviously insulated and do not have the breadth of world experience. i'm sure you support open borders too. it's people like you that put our country at terrible risk. you are a short-term thinker and probably gravitate toward instant gratification. there are people out there planning to kill as many americans as possible, and they'll wait 10 years to hatch and execute the plan. do you not understand that!

What a jake !!! If being a suicide bomber is such a great thing to do? Then why doesn't Osama Bin Laden and the others do it?? No, they get young innocent and niave people to do their work.
Posted by: Steve | Aug 8, 2007 10:03:23 AM
Mark Ronson - Why dont you go visit my brother and the other soldiers in Iraq?? I'm sure they can point you to them from there and you can go talk with them...
WHAT AN IDIOT YOU ARE !!!
