Kids 'R' Us; Candidates, Especially Clinton, Getting Cash From Children

Earlier this week the Washington Post -- using data from the Center for Responsive Politics -- looked at money "donated" by children to presidential candidates.
It's a loophole being exploited because the Federal Election Commission has not set any age limit on donations and doesn't ask donors' ages, thus permitting parents who want to donate more than the $2,300 limit per person per election to give more than one person can give.

Often these kids are identified as "students" in FEC listings..."Students" gave $2.8 million to candidates in the entire 2004 cycle...they have passed that already in the first nine months of 2007.
And most of that cash -- 69 percent -- is going to Democrats. The biggest recipient of tot cash -- Hillary Clinton.

This story smells stupid to me. The Dems are beating the pants off the Repubs in fundraising so far. And Hillary is leading all contenders in fundraising. So is the amount of money going to her disproportionate to her general fundraising lead?
I agree the rules are fishy, especially with the dollar limit equal to adults. But why single out Hillary if this just reflects her general fundraising advantage?

Hillary should be in jail because of taking $1million in monies from felon Hsu (who doesn't notice a million dollars?), aka the Chinese Government. And Trie? And Chung? And selling sub missile secrets to the Chinese? And Bill's pardoning a lot of crooks with Chinese names? And sitting on Walmart's board trying to destroy America's unions? Forget the tots---Hillary's in the big leagues, we're talking sedition and treason and a sell-off of America's security for a buck from China.

The Clintons and crime go hand in hand. Anyone remember the "Rich Pardon?" Why in the world cannot the dems put up a decent candidate? Any of them could easily win and one like Biden could actually govern a nation while Hillary surely cannot and will destroy the democratic party in 4 years just like Bush did the republicans.

Well, Well, that is really not news, as it relatres to Hillary. She purports to be so concernewd about the "children" but she will take money from anybody, anytime, including poor chinese dishwashers (possibly with children, who are needy), poor children, orphaned children, etc. Do any of you LIB NUTS think she cares about anyone except herself and her partner in crime, Bubba? Wake up and sell the roses, and remember Ron Paul and Marc Rich, and....Vince Foster!!!

I have an even bigger objection to the loophole that allows candidates to accept donations from abroad. The infamous donation China gave to Bill Clinton isn’t the only one. Obama and several others raised money in England and other counties. It’s bad enough for candidates to owe political favors to rich people in the US. When they owe political favors overseas it’s worse. What happened to the campaign reform we were promised by both parties?
