Al Qaeda Releases New Recording

December 14, 2007 8:32 AM

A new al Qaeda communique featuring Al-Qaeda's number-two man was released on the internet Friday morning.

References to last month's peace conference in Annapolis indicate the recording is recent. The message, in Arabic, has not yet been fully translated, but early analysis indicates it contains fulminations about Mideast leaders' positions expressed at the late November event.

Experts have authenticated the tape and confirmed the voice belongs to Zawahiri. It was released by As Sahab, the terror group's propaganda operation.

The recording – audio over a still photomontage showing images of Zawahiri, Bush and Middle Eastern leaders – is 20 minutes, two seconds long.

Al Zawahiri was last featured on an As Sahab release in early November, in an audio statement with an al Qaeda field commander.  In September, al Qaeda released a videotape of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Be real... Osama incites religious fervor and extremism in order to destroy western "culture" and to coerce people into becoming Muslim. Using volunteers, children, hostages, and terror strikes against innocent people

GW leads the fight against a murderous madman using a religion to strive for world domination in the name of Allah. Using volunteers that are are fighting for our way of life and freedom from religious oppression and dictatorship.

To paraphrase Gen. Patton, a soldier’s duty isn't to die for his country but to make the other guy die for his.
Bin Laden and his crew recruit people to become suicide bombers to kill innocent civilians and soft military targets. They are non-government entities trying to wage asymmetrical warfare for their ideology. They were fighting us for over ten years before we responded.
Yes, a lot of the world doesn't like the US. But some of those that hate us need to learn that you don't pull on Superman's cape, you don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger and you DON'T mess around with Uncle Sam.

Rob, did Rod voice support for GW? So, if you're against Bin Laden you're FOR Bush? You're a ridiculous little child.

Bin Laden & Bush are long time friends & business partners. osama is alive and well, ask the government why the three times they had Osama in the sights of a rifle the White House instructed our snipers to stand down.

it's time of the liberals to come out from under their rocks and snivel....while brave men and women fight to preserve our liberty,,,not for Bush you fool or worse, rob the coward..

It seems Bush's actions have removed the Taliban, removed Saddam and Uday, caused Libya to give up it's fearsome WMD stockpile, forced Iran to stop their nuke progam, destroyed Al Qaeda in Iraq...hmmm. The Iraq war has been won...time to face that fact. God help us if demo amateurs take over next year. We've all gotten to feel pretty safe since 9/11 with Bush -- his hard policies have stopped every single attack in the U.S. since 9/11.

Rob, President Bush hasn't asked anyone to die...for him, for our country, or for anyone else. What he did is he sent our military to fight for our national security. Period. He didn't ask anyone to die. Yes, some have died in the process, but that is not what Bush wanted. Come on, use your head and think. If you don't like the war (and none of us do), at least blame the people who are responsible for starting it. You can thank bin Laden first. These people attacked us in the most diabolical attack in world history. If it hadn't been for them, we would never have gone to war in Afghanistan or Iraq. It is not Bush's fault that these freaks attacked us, but once they did, it was his duty to respond. Quit blaming him. Even the Democrats in Congress had enough sense at the time to support him. It is sad that so many in this country have now gone yellow and turned coward and turned against our president at this time. Get a clue, Rob!

The comments to this story reveil exactly why we have a $9 trillion national debt, a $60 billion per month trade debt, a fascist foreign policy, a moron for a president, and now the Divided States of America. Bin Laden isn't destroying this country, Shrub and the neocons are doing a fine job of it.

Truth - That was during the Clinton presidency - not Bush. Clinton let ubl go. Clinton let him do whatever he wanted to do. Bush inherited the Islamic Fascism movement - that had been brewing and building a long time. By the way - are we paying attention yet? Our Universities are taking Saudi money for what?????

Why dont you all realize it is not America or GW against the terrorists. It is the civilized world including the majority of Muslims. The terrorist operate in Iraq, Chesneya, France, England, Spain, Algeria, Indonisia, Philipines,Thailand Somalia, Egypt, Saudia Arabia etc., etc.
Wake up and realize it is not just America and has nothing to do with Bush.

Yes, "Truth", and bin Laden secretly has GW over to his cave most Saturday nights (he's got a great oldies collection). And Zawahiri mixes a mean margharita. How do you truthers uncover all of this stuff??!!

Why is it that ABC is ALWAYS the first to report a new tape? Check the facts, and then re-ask yourself why. Could it be that this 'story' is being funneled through because they're a conduit of governmental misinformation? Don't believe anything you read without verifying the facts behind it...and that includes what *I'VE* just written. Orwell must've been psychic.

I am very happy to see the majority of people posting on this blog are realizing and/or know the truth. Rod and Chris you are highly missinformed. Please leave our wonderful country if you are just looking to destroy it. I would try Iran. Seems like a decent country.

These guys are a ridiculous joke. Issuing silly little incoherent ramblings from whatever rathole in which they're hiding and hoping to strike fear in the hearts of--whom, exactly? The news media? Once the U.S. got the Clinton do-nothing bunch out of office the Western countries beat them like a drum and there's nothing left but a bunch of thugs who like to bomb children. Because that's all they can handle--defenseless children.

President Bush has led this nation from a devastating attack to greater security. In the process he has freed millions, deposed tyrants, and has crushed tyranny. Our soldiers have done a magnificent job.

Looking back, the only thing to be ashamed of has been the liberal Congress that through its actions has prolonged this effort. They tried to lose the Iraq war and they failed.

Well done Mr. President!
