December 13, 2007 8:46 AM

Congresstopro_mn A House panel is looking into charges of sexual assault made by a former Halliburton/KBR employee in Iraq.

At a hearing next Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee will hear testimony relating to allegations made by Jamie Leigh Jones that in 2005, a group of Halliburton/KBR employees in Baghdad drugged her and gang-raped her less than a week into her time in the country.

COME ON MEN! WAKE UP! ULTIMATELY, WOMEN ARE NOT GOING TO STAY SILENT. EVEN IF YOU GET AWAY WITH RAPE IN THIS LIFE, SOMEDAY YOU WILL FACE GOD. KNOW THIS: THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES FOR YOUR ACTIONS.

The need to interrogate the people here in the U.S. who offered her the promotion if she transferred to KBR and went to Iraq. The rape was planned BEFORE they offered her the post. I think that was her real "job description" at KBR: to be raped by somebody who could pay for that. This is way bigger than a few wackos in Iraq going nuts.

Now is a good time to add accusations of rape committed by former OVal Office holder Billy Jeff Clinton to the investigation.

The Juanita Broadrick story makes this story a lightweight. Anytime I see Bill Clinton on TV someone says, "there's a rapist." He is silly to listen too.

I love how people hear one side of the story and go on a witchhunt. Hmm, something similar to that happened in the Duke rape case...everyone wanted those boys thrown in prison, until they found out the accuser was a stripper and had semen from 4 different people inside of her, none of which belonged to the lax players.

Do a background check on her...how many relationships has she had? Any illegitimate children? Any ex-husbands? If so, why? Any history of cheating or lying? Does she frequent clubs? For all you know she could be a horned up nymphomaniac who now feels bad that she let 10 guys run a train on her.

There's something to be said about putting yourself in compromising situations. Did this happen out in town? I can assure you this, it didn't happen on a military base overseas. Oorah for 24 hour posts.

I agree with JLS. I believe Jamie was selectively chosen and sent to Iraq for sexual victimization by KBR personnel and whoever else KBR allowed to harm her. I believe she was very lucky to have gotten help when needed to escape or they would have kept her imprisoned and continued sexually assaulting her then arranged for her 'accidental' or a phony 'suicidal' death when needed to cover up what they did to her. Jamie, you are a role model for women of all ages to bring their attackers to justice and stop their attackers from victimizing others. Thank you.

Typically, women have nothing to gain by pretending to be raped. Statistically, it works against them to even say anything about being attacked because of the stigma that is usually attached to being raped. Case in point many of the responses by individuals on this post. 9 times out of 10 rape goes unreported and usually by the time it is given any consideration the evidence is hard to shallow unless this person can to police and be processed accordingly for semen. Even if a woman is promiscuous and sleeps around no mater if she teases it does not make rape ok.

Sgt USMC you are a disgrace to all of us, you know what rape is, there is no excuse what-so-ever or no need for your ridiculous questions. Only the ones who have something to hide would bother to ask questions as yours. Rape will never end until you men stop the bull. It will affect every human soul walking the earth until it is stopped. The Bahamas is a good example of what does happen when it is not stopped or people are not held accountable for their actions, why don't you go live there? This is 2008, all this stupid behavior needs to be stopped now, we all know men rape, they try to get away with it also all the time. Everyone will lose out in the end every time a person is raped, and as someone else said, you will face your maker in the end, try to explain that one then. Jamie, you did the right thing, it was not your fault ever, they should be so disgraced in all of this and they are to everyone that heard your story and the others stories. Try going home from your Iraq jobs men that did this and see how your families really think of you because even if they do talk to you, it will always be in the back of their minds everytime your name is mentioned. Good luck with that. I would push on here and make all of those men be questioned, they have all their names and ID. Bring them to justice! We are watching that it does happen, it has not been forgotten and it will not be.
