Paper: Pages Had Oral Sex In Front of Colleagues
December 10, 2007 1:27 PM
Teenaged congressional pages performed oral sex in front of their colleagues for weeks before they were caught and expelled from the program, according to a new report in Roll Call newspaper.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has pledged to reform the page program, which brings dozens of 15- and 16-year-old students to live and study in Washington, D.C., while working as aides in congressional offices.
"As a mother and a grandmother, nothing is more important to me than the safety and security of our House pages," Pelosi said in a statement.
THE BLOTTER RECOMMENDS
The page program has been reportedly reformed at least once already in the past year, after former Rep. Mark Foley, R-Fla., was exposed for sending inappropriate and suggestive e-mails and instant messages to teenaged former pages.
Two Republican lawmakers resigned their seats on the page program's oversight board last week to protest what they said was a failure to inform them of misbehavior in the program which was leading to expulsions.
In addition to the two pages reportedly expelled for their oral sex performances, two other pages were reportedly expelled for shoplifting from stores at Washington, D.C.-area shopping malls. One was reportedly charged with a felony.

It was just an expression of affection among two gay lads. What's the big deal?

Typical democrats always operating below the belt as they never have too much upstairs. If it's not the daily talking points they follow it's Bubba's internal affairs they believe they need to get a head.
Never, ever trust a democrat they're always trying to hide something; take for instance Hillary Clinton's records; she's not revealing them to anyone and the MSM isn't going to ask her either. Hypocrites.

There are no 15-yr-old pages. To be eligible to serve as a page, all applicants must be at least 16 years of age at the time their appointment begins and have a cumulative grade point average of "B" (3.0 or 85/100) or better in all major courses to date.

If the pages are doing it for their own pleasure,it is strictly their business. What has Democratic or Republican congressmen to do with it?

Give the kids a break...They are just good blue blooded Lincoln Republicans, like Mark Foley, Rudy Guiliani, Ted Haggard, Newt Gringrich, Larry Craig and the rest of this Republican trainwreck..

To FormerRepub: It was Mel Reynolds, former Democrat member of Congress, who was convicted for having sex with an underage girl. And then Bill Clinton pardoned him. How quickly some people forget.

they took notes from the Clinton Administration

Wonder why the pages think it's ok to have oral sex?????
Just look to slick Willie who lied under oath sayinh "I did not have sex with that woman". It was slick willie Clinton that said he did not think oral sex was sex, while trying to rationalize his lying under oath.
And now another Clinton wants to be POTUS??? God help America if she is elected.

The remark about Texans was uncalled for, who are you to pass judgement on other people - you are the ignorant one just by your remark. Now to the pages, they are too young to be allowed to associate with the degenerats in government and I don't care what party they belong to - they are still degenerates. Pelosi is not a fit person to remark about what is going on with these pages - she needs to look at her district in CA to see what type of sleaze they are and she does nothing about that. It is all disgusting and sickening.

Isn't this the kind of stuff that happened shortly before the fall of the Roman Empire?

WE SEEM TO BE GROWING A BIT MORE MORALLY CORRUPT EACH DAY AND THE MSM HAS NO PROBLEM POINTING THIS OUT, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME THEY HAMMER THINGS THAT COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE LIKE READING THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.
LAW, ETHICS AND INTEGRITY ARE BECOMING A RARE BIRD AMONG OUR LEADERS AND IT FILTERS DOWN TO WHO IS GOING TO REPLACE THEM.

OMG..why is this a Democrat or Republican issue? It is like watching a bunch of 5 year olds on a playground saying "my daddy can beat up your daddy". Grow up people and get a friggin clue. It isn't about political parties. Bottom line is this is sick and it should stop. The end.

Leaving aside the party affiliation, I'm curious to know if Barney Frank had any comment on this.
Maybe they were just improving their resumes.

Everyone seems to forget that these pages or CHILDREN (15/16) are being supervised by old pervs. These guys unzip their pants for kids and people are blaming the pages. Politics and morality are two different monsters according to what I read here. Expelling kids, but, not punishing these grown politicians who take advantage of of these kids. Take the pages name out, and, place your daughters name and see how you feel about blame when it comes to teenage girls and grown men who abuse them.

Give it up, Bill Clinton was 8 yrs ago, Foley, Craig, Vitter, were within the last year. Like it or not, Clinton's wasn't against the law, Foley, Craig, and Vitter's were. You people need to read the papers more often, I'm surprised you think what Clinton did is still important. Clean up the system, it's been a shambles since Foley played "footsy" with minors.

Why is this a Democrat or Republican issue? Some young pages had the bad taste (pun intended) to perform oral sex in front of viewers. One has to wonder what type of homes they come from. Obviously, rather lacking in structure and morals and manners.

This is the result of having Clinton in the White House for 8 years...
