Alleged Spitzer Trystmate: Can You Handle Me?
March 12, 2008 10:20 PM
Here's a piece of irony too obvious not to note: the woman identified as New York governor Eliot Spitzer's favored prostitute recorded an R&B song with suggestive lyrics, including the rhetorical inquiry, "Can you handle me?"
Spitzer's answer, it would seem, is no.
The 22-year-old New Jersey native whose attentions led the governor of New York to forsake his political career is an aspiring pop songstress, it turns out, with an ear for unvarnished sexual suggestiveness.
"I know what you want/You got what I want," croons Ashley Alexandra Dupre, a.k.a. "Kristen" of the now-defunct Emperor Club VIP prostitution ring, on her online single, "What We Want." "I know what you need/Can you handle me?"
The single is available for 78 cents from music site amiestreet.com. That's a small price to pay for three and a half minutes of Dupre, whose legal name is Ashley DiPietro. Just ask the governor, who announced today he is resigning effective March 17 over the scandal.

The Governor's resignation was warranted in light of his actions.
Its unbelieveable to find out that he was alleged to be using prostitutes for 10 years. It seems strange that he was pushing for homosexual marriage when he didn't seem to care about his own marriage and eliminated abstinance education when he was reported to engage in unsafe sex (not wearing protection).

what's unbelievable is that prostitution is still illegal. name any other service that you are allowed 2 give away, and not sell! further, it seems strange that a "civic assoc" would resort to such lowbrow means of attack.
this poor girl is republican societies next monica lewinsky, and she doesn't have a clue.

Why would amiestreet.com be selling the poor girls song. She was strugling all this time. She probably don't have the money to pay her lawyers fee and some people are already making money at her expense. She need to sue them.
I was not particularly happy about the amiestreet.com link on this blog that would probably drive traffic to their site. On an after thought it was good that this was brought to light. How could they be making money of this ?

How is it irony that a prostitute records a song with sexual overtones?

Note to the person crying about amiestreet.com selling her songs. She posted them there. She receives 70% of all proceeds... and the cost is based on how much in demand the songs are. They are now up around a buck a download.

Do not quote me,but I do not understand why the state of New York does not move fast on a trial towards the Gov, and the prostitute... Has this Country lost it's dignity. New York, let alone the Unitied States been through the wash. There are so many scandals that other countries sit back and laugh at our inabilities.. WOW can you think of why we are a target... Well I for one do not believe that either party should go un punished... If I murdered someone and later confessed would it still be murder, would I not do jail or death by jury.. So if I am a prostitute and knowingly allow you to question me due to client # ( ex..#9) aka: the Govenor of New York, and then confirmed after forwarding more evidence, How then can you say there has been NO crime committed due to (CATCHING HER IN THE ACT)Not only did she willingly comit a crime but she desicrated our for fathers fight for justice, freedom, and the judicial system that is suppose to work for all AMERICANS. He new what he was doing and regardless of what the public thinks, his wife and three daughters stood behind him in confidence that this man was true and just in what he preached for everyone to trust in him. So They should not be judged or put under any questions until they are proved to be apart of this mans injustice....They agreed to the oath that they never broke and should not be held accountable for his....
Now back to the lack of my understanding of how this country finds sink holes in the very legal system I and like every Americans want to believe in, has any right not to take this to trial....PLEASE GIVE ME PEACE AND ENLIGHTENMENT Ps single mom 2 bys, dont get out much, excuse grammer and spelling just tired... thank you for listening Christine
