Senators defeat Sen. Tom Coburn's (R-OK) quixotic effort to banish $8.8 million in earmarks destined for clients of PMA Group, now under federal investigation and soon to be defunct.
Coburn: "The Senate decided to defend business as usual at the earmark favor factory." Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV): Those earmarks belong to lawmakers, not lobbyists.
Update: For those keeping score at home, 37 Republicans and six Democrats voted to strip the earmarks; 48 Dems, two independents and two GOPers voted to keep them in.

voters losing their homes, jobs, health care, having a tough time feeding their families and themselves. Oh yes, protect the Earmarks, that is most important to some Senators.
It is time for these Senators to seek another line of work, as they are not looking our for their constituants, so therefore not doing thir job.
Oh wait, get in line!
